Bill has never and will never cater to any player. That's why they went to so many SBs. It's about the system not the player and if they compromise that it can break the system. Plus if you think about it, teams generally have a hard time paying a QB top money and having a competitive team overall. That being said there's a 1st time for everything.

If Im Belichick and Kraft brings Brady back again, Im flat out quitting. That would be the second time that Kraft wouldve forced Belichick to use a Quarterback he clearly lost faith in a long time ago. Belichick could literally go anywhere he wanted. All these teams that have young talent but need a leader would absolutely give up the house money wise to get Belichick away from the Patriots if Belichick gave an inkling he wants to move on

Jonathan Jones Going forward, Belichick is more valuable than TB12. Tom is aging out and what more can he give at most, 2 years? Until Bill has to put on a pair of cleats his age is a non factor.
The Patriots need to rebuild and is it gonna happen in one season? When you look at the second half of the Patriots season, they were a .500 team going 4-4 and if want to add the wild card game to that, that puts them below .500, that’s 4 wins in a 9 game stretch. In their regular season losses, they gave up an average of 28 points a game.
Patriots fans are complaining that Brady doesn’t have weapons or an O Line and that’s why they lost the Wild Card Game. So going forward are the Patriots going to have a formidable defense complete with weapons on the offensive side of the ball?
So the real question is, do the Patriots want to rebuild a team around a QB that is going to be 43 at the start of the 2020 season?

It is a business and they can make WAY more money with Tom on the team. Brady has been top five in jersey sales for over a decade. He is getting old. Fans are willing to pay to see him play if they think they will lose the opportunity to do so in the near future. Look at D.Wade's retirement. His jerseys were selling as fast as they could make them. If they play up the whole "Could this be his last year? Come see his last game!" they can really cash in on Brady's presence. On top of that, if Brady goes to another team and starts balling, it will look very bad. Belicheck will look bad, he may even lose the locker room. Tom inspires guys. They respect and believe in him. He makes New England a popular spot for offensive free agents. Guys like Beckam, Landry, Diggs, etc. Want to play with him. Bill can sell that in free agency. "Come play with the only player in the NFL with six super bowl rings and help him get #7 and make history!" The alternative is "Come catch passes from a 4th round white Jameis Winston". If Bill doesn't keep Brady, he needs to aggressively go for Tannehill or Bridgewater.

Brady was NOT a terrible QB. Was he the most athletic QB to ever play the game? No. Did he have the best arm? No. But there is no measure of "Heart". The man has always had a burning desire to WIN. He never quits. He has won games that other QB's would have folded. He has had enough ability and more than enough intelligence to play the game. He's slowed down a bit, which is understandable. He was never one to avoid a rush very well. I'm a Patriot's Fan. I mean I am a fan of the Patriot Way. And I'm sorry, but the Patriot Way is WINNING. It's not the losing of this year. Especially not the way they lost this year. It's the HOW of the losing. That was a truly terrible offense for virtually all of the year. It was just last year that EVERYONE was making the point that the Patriot system helped Brady win. It was a mutual thing but it did NOT depend on lots of individual talent. You didn't have to be a star player, but you had to be a TEAM player. And it worked. All those years. But not last year when for many reasons (but at least a fair amount of which were on the performance of TB) it didn't work. In fact it crashed and burned. A Patriot TEAM got worse as the season progressed. Worse to the point they lost the last game against MIAMI at HOME, and then did nothing really against The Titans. The system didn't change. People didn't execute. And TB was absolutely among those people.
BB is there to WIN. He was probably right in 2015 but no-one can complain about 2016-2018. No-one.
2019 ----- That's a whole different story. LOTS of not good stuff. Get credit for the ups : Gotta expect blame when it all goes down.
Bottom Line. For the FUTURE the Patriots HAVE to move-on. They need their new QB. Now not a year or two from now. Stats don't lie. Not over time. Change is coming. Gotta be done.

If the Patriots don't sign him, there are a few teams I can see taking a swing at using him to transition to a new QB, top of my list is Carolina. Newton is done, whether he admits it or not, his heart isn't in it anymore and his physical situation has him looking at backup money wherever he goes next. His trade value isn't high, no one is going to give a high pick of top flight player to get him. I don't see anyone posting up big numbers to sign a big name with with NO future and few skills left. Brady would be a good fit in Carolina, a team that needs ONE really good WR and a good QB to get them over this next 2 years while they get the rest of the players they need.

Could be wrong, but wherever Brady goes, I don’t think it’s going to be about cashing in. He’s never really don’t that all his career. The guy is focused on winning and legacy and I think what he really wants is investment in top talent around him so he can win. Belichick has always been focused on value in players and I think Brady is really saying, “I’m near the end of my career. Enough of the value. Get me some marquee free agent offensive players NOW.”

Because it’s at its core show business, they are basically making things up to keep people interested and talking - as a former business owner , you reward your best employees based on talent ,consistency showing up and giving your best every day - if you do those things Your business will be successful- This is what Kraft will and should do and it’s simple get brady some offensive help
Two consistent receivers and the patriots are in the super bowl -

First of all not every single team besides the Patriots want him. Stop with "the other 31 teams". Chiefs, Ravens, Packers, Texans, Cowboys, Eagles, Rams, Titans, Vikings, Raiders and Giants have their future quarterbacks or have their quarterbacks for the next 3 or 4 years. Second, Brady should just retire. My god for christ sake retire you have nothing to prove you have 6 rings he makes it sound like that's not enough or he is being called overrated

    Ravens no

    Texans no
    Packers no
And the list goes on it’s maybe about 8 teams that will be willing to sign him as their starter if that many even the teams that really need a QB and aren’t in win now mode can get a rookie on a rookie deal so why get Brady?
