We sure been enjoying watching a regular Joe upgrade the tundra! Really nice truck!!
needtoknow204 Thank you
I bought those because of you first video. I ended up painting them with Raptor Bed Liner spray.
Looks great! I’m glad they did that under warranty.
Doug Kreutzer Yea they are a great company Doug. Anyone that would stand behind $1,000 worth of products gets 👍👍 from me.
Nice Video ,thanks Joe 📹 👍 👌 👏
Love your channel! Keep on keeping on brother
Joel Gosselin Thank you
U really having fun changing your style of the truck... U know wat u doing...🙂
Desi Baby Yea it’s a lot of fun modding vehicles. When you can see the finished product just makes you feel good. Have a good day.
Have you removed them to find all the scratching and missing paint when dirt and small pebbles get caught between the flares and the fenders?
I used a special tape to protect the paint from the flares. It’s very expensive tape but it seems to have worked well in protecting the paint. I have a video on it as well
@@gearrunner Why don't they just build the damn things with the flares already on, lol, it looks so good. I've seen videos about the tape, not sure how long it lasts.
How did you hold the rubber seals on place? Mine came without double sided tape or anything ….
Mine seals were already on the flares
do you know where i can buy the brackets?
Looks awesome!!! 👍👍👍
Victor GARCIA Thank you
Looks good Andy nice video 👍
Digger Thank you
I am gonna get some Bushwackers for my Tundra! 🇺🇸
I would like to buy it, but I would like it to be the same color as my truck.
Just curious if you ever sold your old set of fender flares. I bought a set of flares from a guy but they were missing the brackets that mount the front flares and cannot locate the brackets from anywhere.
Sorry, I did. They didn’t last long
Much better match👍
They look awesome Gear thought about doing it to the Tacoma but can't make up my mind paint inferno or leaving it black
Chad Kranats Just me but I really like the color matched look
🙋Goodmorning
Desi Baby Good morning Desi
I have a 2008 Tundra. I have wanted to get the pocket style fender flares but have always hesitated because they don't offer them painted. Seems like a hassle to mess with a body shop to get them paint matched. I am also new to Kentucky and don't know the good shops as of yet. Good body shops are hard to come by. Yours looks great!
strong like monkey Do they just not offer them for that year painted? I did get mine painted from Bushwhacker.
@@gearrunner Yeah I think its just due to the age of the vehicle. It kind of sucks. I have had this pickup since new and they never offered them painted. Just the newer ones apparently. Mine is white, so you would think they would offer at least that color matched. The truck only has 70,000 miles on it. For a 12 year old vehicle that is low. It is a California truck, so no rust and no need to get rid of it. Wish Bushwacker would offer them painted for the older years. But I do get it from another side as well. The amount of paint fade that may be present on the older trucks may be more than they are willing to match. We may never know. LOL!
strong like monkey That is a good point. They may not be able to match the faded paint and it may stick out
@@gearrunner Either way. The struggle continues LOL! The things teuck guys worry about, right? Take care. Always look forward to your videos.
strong like monkey I know right lol thank you and you have a good day as well.
Can you please share a link for the headlamp your are using? Thanks, Gear.
I’m going to try to review it next week and I’ll add it to the review
Wow I didn’t know that the new one got a tape on a seal. When I first got them in 2014 they didn’t come with a tape on seal.
👌
Hector Castro Thank you
Does it come with the protective tape you put on truck?
It would have been nice if you stood back so we can look at the whole truck when finished.
George Pierce I have photos of my truck all over IG and I was really just showing how the flares matched. I have an earlier video where I sho a full install and look. This was just a shortened version. I didn’t want to do the exact same video twice.
Are these available with black rivets?
I’ve seen people with black bolts in there’s but I think they painted them. I don’t think you can order them with them.
Plasti-dip
Gear do you know how much your going to sell the old ones for?
Asaf Farfar I have them listed for $350
Gear Runner good price.
Asaf Farfar Yea less than half what I paid for them
Gear Runner trust me I know. With all that’s going on just being careful with spending now but I wish I could can’t get a better price then that at all.
Asaf Farfar Oh I understand that 👍
I know a lot of you probably know this; in case you didn't, 2021 is the last year Toyota will offer the 5.7 V8. That's right, no more V8 Power for the Tundra. Looks like V6 w/Turbo's or Electric Power will be it for the Next Gen 2022 Toyota Tundra. The Tundra has not been upgraded for 13 years.....did not realize that. I'm not a Toyota guy, but I am interested in changes to new year models when they come out. Suppose to be new Technology above the other Makes....we will see. I am disappointed about the "No V8" though! V8's and full size Pick ups just "go together". Toyota....get ready to be Blasted by your Loyal Customers!
Yep I bought a 21 for that reason. But in reality, the twin turbo has more power output and better fuel economy. I was concerned about the reliability factor, the iforce 5.7 Is a proven workhorse, and I also needed a 6 seater which is also no longer available.
Never put flares on a stock truck..just looks silly
Hate to say it, but you just ruined your pain job, ask me how I know.
Jacob I have the protective tape under the flares. It works great.
