OMG my man your rig is a beauty it looks fresh. Forget the haters I’m a huge fan and I love your advise I don’t have a tundra personally but your advise helps my friends thank you and anything else you do to your rig is only to make it better
Thanks, man!!! I really appreciate that. It's a work in progress. Even though it's a "Tundra channel," most of the mods that I have done to my truck can be done on an F-150, Titan, Silverado, or Ram. I'm glad that my videos have been helpful. Thanks for your feedback 👍🏾💪🏾👊🏾
I got a 6 inch lift on my 2005 F250 FX4 V10 I was thinking about doing something like this, but I like my 37 x 13.5x 20 poking out. Your truck looks great my for me I like to keep it plain just a lift, tires, side steps, exhuast, and a kick ass sound system. One thing I love about my truck is that it is a crew cab with a 8ft bed. Great channel
Thanks for supporting the channel, man! I know that not everyone likes fender flares, but I do, so I threw them on my truck. Your truck sounds like it looks good 👍🏾 !!!
Thanks, man! There WAS music in the background of this video, but I'm happy it met your approval! 🤣 Do you have a Tundra as well? What kind of work have you done on your truck?
Looks fantastic! I just ordered my Tyger Fender Flares for my 2017 Tundra! I can't seem to find an exact color match (code 218), so I'm thinking about using a truck bed liner spray (e.g. Rustoleum), but still topping it with clear coat. That should give it even more resistance to rock chips (I go off road quite often); but still keep it glossy. Thoughts? OBTW - Did you ever post a video of blacking out your grill? I've been looking at some of the "Black Chrome" options....
Your channel is phenomenal, thank you for creating such great Tundra content. Rookie question, where did you get the paint to match your tundra. I have the same color and want to give this project a shot. Thank you!
Thanks for the positive feedback. The colour-code for the body paint is on the panel of the front driver's side door, right next to the tire pressure. If your Tundra's paint is also Magnetic Grey, the code is 1G3. You can get that automotive paint from just about any hardware store.
Great video but I didn't see you put the mud flaps back on did it come with holes for them or you just didn't want them great truck I have a 2017 TRD Offroad
Thanks for watching. Yeah, I had to get rid of the stock mud flaps in order to get those fender flares on. I'm sure there are some larger after-market mud-flaps that would work with the new flares, but the stock ones won't. What kind of work have you done on your Tundra?
Hey, Man! Thanks for watching. I got those GM-Style tow mirrors off of Amazon. The tail lights were from E-Bay. The tail lights didn't have a brand. They were sold by a 3rd Party Seller on EBay. I just looked for "Smoked LED Tail Lights." Check out my EVOLUTION video to see the full modification list.
I'm working on putting up ALL of my product-links. In the meanwhile, look for Tyger Auto fender flares on Amazon. Make sure the vehicle filter is set for your truck. Thanks for supporting the channel, Man! Much appreciated!!! 👈🏾
Hey, man! Thanks for watching. I got the paint from a hardware store. The paint code for my truck's specific color was in the manual, so I picked up some automotive paint from Canadian Tire.
Hey, man. Thanks for watching. I wouldn't worry about the size of the cans. They come in a standard size from the hardware store. I already had some primer from blacking out the grille. I bought three cans of the base paint and three cans of the clear coat. I used up just over 2 cans for both.
Thanks for watching the video. For this particular job, you'll need 3 or 4 cans of base coat. After applying 2 coats of primer, I put four coats of base on the flares. That's somewhere around 3 to 4 cans. After that, I recommend six coasts of acrylic clear-coat, so that the color lasts.
Thanks for watching. The gaskets are still on (because I installed them properly). The paint is still good. When I put the flares on, I meant for them to stay on permanently, so I'm not too concerned with the paint. Now, if you really want to protect the paint, there are some RUclips videos showing how you can apply tape that will sit between the body and the fender flare.
The biggest problem with gaskets come with the brands that don't include adhesive in the groove of the gasket. I watched a vid of a guy installing a different brand, and he couldn't even get the flares mounted without the gaskets coming loose while he was trying to 'muscle' them into place. That said; I don't recall if these particular gaskets DID include a light adhesive... 🤔 Maybe they just fit more snugly....
Hey, man! Thanks for watching. My wheels are 20" (diameter) by 10" (width). They have a -24mm offset, which means that the face of the hub is 24 mm behind the centre of the wheel. I hope that helps!
Hey, the truck looks good with flares. Have you ever thought of having them custom-made out of metal? I've seen them on Chevrolets and fords and those flares look awesome. Im going to do it to mine. But yours look great!
Thanks for checking out the video, man! Actually, I haven't considered metal fender flares before. The current flares that I have will probably be on the Tundra for a while, but I'd definitely look into metal flares down the road.
You're going to be horrified if you ever take the flares off. Dirt gets between the rubber and your fender. It rubs right thru the clearcoat and gouges the paint. The nuts on the back side also rub down to the metal.
Dude ... if you think that a product I used sucked, then suggest a better alternative. Don't just say "it sucks," and leave it at that. Tell me which clear coat you think is better.
@COMMANDER-ONE Thanks, man! I appreciate that. So far, this clear-coat has held up well on the fender flares, but like everything else, it will ware off eventually. In another two or three years, I may redo the paint job.

My pleasure. Thanks for watching!
Looks great man! I have a 2018 tundra limited same color can’t wait to get these flares and color match as well!
Thanks for watching the video!! The magnetic grey is a great color, isn't it?1? Have fun with the fender flare installation.

You should do one on a hood scoop install!
That's something that I may do in the future if I change the hood. Right now, I still have the stock hood.
Thanks for checking out the video!
Where did you get the color match spray cans??
Looks great!! Love it!!

Very nice!
Thank you, Sir!!! Thanks for watching.
How’s the material quality of the fender flares do they hold there shape ? I have read that they fold easily in a car wash do you recommend them
I've had no issues with the fender flares (before or after washing). If they're installed properly, there should be no issues with their shape.
The flares do look great. I'm going to have to do this to my 2020 tundra. Are the mud flaps not able to be installed again after the flares are on?
Have fun with the flares! You should be able to find mud flaps that will work with your fender flares.
Good Vidya man👍👍
Thank you, Sir!!!

The spray cans look to be different sizes. What are the sizes? How many cans of each did you end up using?
Hey, man.

I colour-matched the door handles (magnetic grey) and I blacked out the badges black sand pearl). Thanks for watching! 👍🏾

Have you checked your paint since putting these on ppl say it scratches the paint and the gaskets don’t stay on is this true

1k primer and clear coat sucks and you’ll see over time. 1k clear coat will lose its shine fast if you park outdoors.
