I like this, fine food at good restaurants, but still not too fancy. Everything looked delicious and most of it is well known to any swede. Nice video!
Oh that’s amazing!! FYI you may need to make reservations at the dine-in places. I have links to these restaurants in the description. Hope you make it and enjoy!
Sweden is a great foodie destination for several reasons! One is the fact that apart from well made traditional Swedish cuisine, you can find almost every type of food known to Man in Sweden. The food scene is extremely diverse. It's not like in Italy where 99% of the restaurants just serve Italian food (which isn't necessarily a bad thing of course). Another one is the overall quality of Swedish restaurants. There are very few tourist traps in Sweden and as the competition is fierce, you have to serve excellent food to survive in the Swedish restaurant business. There's no room for sloppy and lazy restaurateurs in Sweden, in sharp contrast to cetrain other countries. But isn't Sweden extremely expensive? Well, to many visitors Sweden could appear as costly. However, the Swedish krona is much cheaper nowadays than it was some years ago. The prices are still pretty high, but not insane.
Such great points! It’s amazing to see how much Sweden’s food scene has evolved and changed the past 10-15 years. In regards to pricing also depends on where you’re traveling from. For Americans at the time of this writing is the best time to visit Sweden as prices are fairly cheap in comparison.
Interesting! I guess it depends… in comparison to many other major cities in the world it’s still quite cheap. In comparison to London, Copenhagen, New York, Los Angeles etc…
All good but the Herring/strömmingsvagnen is maybe the most overpriced food i ever eaten, 2 small herring with mashed potatoe and a hard bread Knäckebröd for almost 15 $
Hmm it’s 105kr which comes up to a bit over $9. In comparison to other major cities, especially ones in the US that’s a great rate. I walked away full so I would say it’s a perfectly sized on the go quick meal.

I'll be in Stockholm next week for 3 nights, and I'll definitely hit at least one of these.

Strömming med potatismos var central när jag var barn liksom såklart köttbullar med mos och lingon . Mycket gott.

Sorry to ask but are you Swedish or American 🤔You sound very American ☺
Thanks for asking! I’m born and raised in Sweden but I moved to the US 14 years ago 😊 I come back often as my family lives in Sweden ☺️

Stockholm is a culinary city if you have the money. Too expensive for my taste.
