He and Mike probably more so. Kevin has the mind and personality to be a really good crew chief. Extremely detail oriented (borderline OC), LOVES the tech, a mind able to handle massive amounts of data, very patient, calm in the storm and lastly is a leader who engenders trust and therefore gets the most out of his people. That is totally Kevin.

It was great for Clay and the crew to let you take us for a through behind the scenes tour of what goes into preparing to run a top fuel car. Clay is a wonderful ambassador for the sport. Even when he lost in the final round to Mike Salinas in the final round at Phoenix, he's still at the finish line (with a big smile on his face) filming Mike and his crew celebrating the win.
Kaylynn is oooozing with knowledge. That takes a lot to know what she is doing for sure. They all gave you great coverage of what they do on a regular day at their job. This was a GREAT video Kevin.

Thank you for interviewing Kaylynn, the clutch "guy" is the unsung hero of top fuel racing. They can make horsepower to the moon, but the clutch "guy" harnesses and applies it...

Not anymore I can assure you every team in the pits knows about Kaylynn and how she's become a top gun and that's what worries me!

I think they're confident enough that the designs are universal enough, the real secret is their experience/talent coming into play to make decisions for adjustments on race day

Clay is a fantastic dude. I did some web work for him back in the day and it never really felt like work. Was always a pleasure when I could go to the races and tag along with him and the crew.

It really seems like Kaylynn and Izzy have the most complex job although every station seems complicated. I always thought the Angry Hornet had the hardest job trying to tell good parts from damaged parts, that is now Lance’s job. As you can tell, it takes a very special person to sit in front of these super power plants that didn’t exist 60 year ago. I am a HUGE FAN of Doug Stringer, Mike Kloeber and especially Clay “THE MAN” Millican! And of course you Kevin, I have never learned more from any other channel than yours. THE MILLIFANS ARE HERE!

I watched Clay for more then a year now religiously and ALWAYS jones'd for a peek at that screen with all the data. I noticed in Clays video you were glued to that screen and I could see the numbers crunchin in your eyes 😆. Thanks for gettin us such an in-depth look at all of it.

Clay is the best thing to happen to Top Fuel in recent years, I've been watching you and Cleetus and a bunch of other channels based around drag racing forever and somehow Top Fuel just dropped off my radar until the day Clay's team welcomed 1320 video's cameras in and blew my mind with their openness and down to earthness friendliness and positivity. I've been a huge fan of Clay and his team since, this is brilliant, suddenly I'm seeing KSR and PFI and Boosted Boiz stickers on a Top Fuel car that gets into the FINALS? There is NOTHING about any of this that I don't love 🤍The dude taking the time to explain how they make fine adjustments to the AFR *by the gallon* is priceless!! And Clay's mechanical knowledge is a pleasure to behold too. Fantastic, so glad you did this!

Excellent video. As a watcher of Clay's channel it never fails to impress me that Mike and Clay spend 20 minutes or more going over the data for a run that takes less than 4 seconds. It amazes me that Clay can recall every item of the cars performance in such minute detail.
That's the best tour I have seen ever in a top fuel trailer. It's amazing that you can take a materials and run them in a motor crush them while running down the track.
Weather is very important for fuel / traction.
The clutch setup is insane not sure is a ls would even engage that clutch wow.
So many parts that could fail & make a huge mess when it pops apart.
