One of the best discussions I have heard in a very long time. All involved were interesting and had great questions for Clay. Congratulations very well done
i believe that was Jim Bucher .. he ran the only somewhat competitive T/F Chevy .. .. he did win the Summernationals at Englishtown in'75.. .. he passed away exactly on that July 7 date 2 years later at age 37 ..
Clay Millican is that one person if know him and those around him personally. You are by association a great great person. He is that amazing of an individual.
Clay: "I'm rambling trying to describe this, sorry." The rest of us: "That's what we're here for!" I love Clay Millican, thanks for putting him on your show!
As a none Top fuel fan previously, I am so glad I found out about Clay, I love his content and Brent from PFI Speed is the guy that bought Clay to his following, another fan from the UK.
Awesome interview of an awesome racer! Clay’s the man! All those early pioneers like Garlits and others has inspired several generations of drag racers and started a racing sport that has technically skyrocketed into the outer reaches of engineering capabilities!
I went to highschool with Clay and my mom was his mom's hairdresser at her beauty shop. He always wore racing T shirts in school and there is a picture of Clay in the cafeteria wearing a Dale Earnhardt shirt in our highschool annual
YES, i go through the same cardiac distortion when riding my harley. Prior to role on throttle my BPM is around 165 - 180. Once i set her in gear and role on it comes down to resting rate.
It's similar to being on the flight deck of an aircraft carrier with an E/A 6B on the catapult and you're 20ft away. But it is still nothing lcompared to being present when Clay Millican and the Parts Plus team on A.
Clay's first race car was a dodge charger exact replica of the general lee from the Duke's of Hazard show and one winter the real general lee could not make it to the car show in Memphis because of the weather and they had Clay take his car to the show

If anyone is wondering, Clay has always been the same person that you see now for his entire life. I've never heard of anyone that didn't like him

Hey Clay what was your scariest moment on a Forklift ? Lol
I find any kind of in the seat racing,
you must feel the car in your butt,
motorcycle racing requires a different set of skills.
