I've learned a lot about integrations from your channel. I don't think I would have attempted my first integration without your examples. Thank you and I'm sure I'll keep getting better watching you.

Thank you for making all of your content, it really helped me actually grow and get better in integrations and actually thinking in a very different form. Rather than thinking like butting up two blasters but actually slowly taking time and shaving to have things slide together and actually have flowing lines!
It is actually really interesting seeing different takes on things like your strayven and everything, and the jackal, it actually moved me to actually do the rayven grip on the stryfe and honestly it feels way more comfortable. Your content to me in the very least has been educational and advantageous, well at least as advantageous as cutting, and gluing plastic toys that shoot foam can be.

“Why is Mr Nathan the gosh darn nicest person in the hobby, and so talented too?”
It was great showing you my manta’d double dealer integration at endwar this year, I wish we could have chatted a little longer.
I’m always impressed by how you can take a blaster and then turn it into something entirely different. It’s kind of magical.
As for input on the channel, I guess I don’t really have a preference. I think I like seeing the final overview videos of the finished integrations best. I still enjoy seeing some of the process of how it gets there, but it’s not quite as important to me.

There are those who call you the Bob Ross of the NERFing hobby...they're not wrong. You take the extra time to go through HOW you do things, and talk about the patience involved in integration projects.
Most importantly: you never shout. You get excited, certainly, but it's always much more laid-back than most of the other NERFy RUclipsrs. I watch the Lord-Captain Xavier because his persona amuses me; Coop772 for the honest reviews of bone stock blasters; WalcomS7 because I just love watching the excitement on his face as he geeks out on things, even if it's not NERF-related.
I watch you, on the other hand, because you take a much more relaxed approach to things. No rush, no panicking (except for that time you cut yourself while making a Centurion battery stock, and even that was only briefly), just...relaxing with the hobby.
Really, I think the only thing I might want to see more of on your channel is seeing your handiwork actually flinging foam at events when you're done making them.

  • @beretnarf
    @beretnarf 5 лет назад +3

I love getting to chat with you at events and going back and forth online. What games we play...
I think your Mod Along videos offer some of your most unique and creative insight. Plus, if they are just 20 minute segments of you doing modwork that you'd be doing anyway, shouldn't be too intensive on editing? (I'm sure there could still be hours of footage to sift through)
And don't worry, you don't need to enter me into the giveaway. You know I wouldn't do anything with a blaster shell and I already have your patch! :)

  • @slaedur

I know it is a rather blanket answer but I have enjoyed all of your content. It has been a joy getting to know you through your videos.
Your attitude towards and your appreciation/love for the community is an inspiration!
I have also enjoyed and learnt a tonne from your videos. Your videos are what inspired me to do an integration as my 3rd ever mod and it wouldn't have been so successful had I not gleaned so many useful little tidbits from you.
Every modding video has little moments where you think "Huh, wow, I never would have thought of that. Which means I can do this, this AND this!"
You are most definitely and inspiration and I appreciate what you do! I don't care if I win anything but I enjoyed the excuse to tell you thank you for being you and doing what you do.

I’m incredibly impressed by your build process. Watching you choose what shapes you want to include in the blaster(s) and figure out how to get them from different blaster shells is so impressive. Then being able to watch the development process of fitting, adjusting, tweaking, and finalizing the shape before the integration and gap filling and smoothing is so cool to see. Your work is gorgeous and I’m blown away by every new build.

From the very first video I saw of yours, i think it was the drop cylinder Strongarm video, you've been inspiring me with so many awesome integration ideas! There's been two times now where I've started an integration and then you show a video doing a very similar one (my Stryfly and the Hellhound, and my Centurion-Mastodon and Warthog), just a funny coincidence. You've helped me immensely with putty work and showing how to line up shells and shell lines, and I've learned a lot! I'll commonly put on the mod-along series or another one of your longer videos and just listen to you while I work on one of my projects. The tone of your voice and the way you explain things is really soothing and relaxing, and I enjoy listening to you! You're an awesome dude, keep on doing what you're doing!

It is also a great help that you take the time to explain your thoughts and methods that you put into your work. The awesomeness that you have produced has greatly improved all the integration and custom work in the hobby. Last, and certainly not least, I love how you speak to your audience as peers and you are never condescending.

I found the channel when Walcom made a video on the hellhound. I really like that you do integrations. I know that sounds dumb, but with kits and 3D printing integrations are really under appreciated now in the hobby. Keep up the great work!

  • @matthewbecker2544

You have been a breath of fresh air for this hobby as far as integration goes, the kind of stuff you do brings back memories of the kind of integrations we did back in the day prior to 3d printed parts. Would love to see you do some vintage blaster integrations. Also really enjoy your work with mega dart firing stuff, buff daddy and Mitch Essinger (no nonsense nerfing) have also done really cool work with mega firing stuff and I could only imagine what you 3 could come up with together in a collaboration. Looking forward to seeing your current long standing projects come to a close and new projects come to life.

I love seeing your update videos about projects you are working on. The first thing I saw from you was your hellhound on Walcom's channel. I first could not tell if it was an intervention. It looked like something Nerf came out with. Watching you work on some bone stock blasters that some wouldn't even use to something everyone would run is great! And the level of detail you go into about what your projects are is also wonderful. But by far the best part of your channel is...
    The Olivegaurden music.

i’ve only been around long enough from when walcom featured the hellhound on his channel that time you sent it to him but your channel has definitely been an inspiration for sure. i very much enjoy the fact that you’re just doing this because you love and enjoy it. you’re super down to earth and the fact that you share your struggles with ideas/builds is awesome as well. i think my favourite video(s) are the mod along/build logs just because i think it’s so cool to see your thought process through a build and some techniques as well. and when you feature some other people’s builds as well. definitely something i hope to see more of in the future! cheers!

I really love how you talk through the thought process on blending lines on combining shells. The older I get the broader my interests in making is and things like kitbashing always fascinated me but you were the first person that really showed me insight not just how to do it, but the mindset needed.

i really enjoys your build vlogs(reviews are also welcome, knowledge being power in all). What i enjoy from your build vlogs is getting see the techniques(ive used the xacto scoring on my own build) and thought process being put into what integration peaces go where and why(has given me allot of forethought into my own 3d design language blending and matching lines).

The video that got me to know about your channel and your work, and also the one that made me subscribe, was the Seamless Strayven integration. I love this mod so much. At the time I was fairly new to the hobby and wanted to do a strayven build so bad. But all the other modding videos did cut both shells of the rayven in the same right angle, which is good for the battery side of the stryfe but leaves the other side with such an ugly transition. I was sure there must be another way to do this and just as was going to try it out I found your video on it and it blew my mind. I remember sitting there saying to myself: 'Yes, this is how it should be done!'
And with that inspiration I went of and build my first strayven similar to yours and I still love it.
After watching more and more of your videos I came to enjoy your content more then other because it never feels rushed. You take so much time to think about lines and parts to integrate to get the best possible result. It inspired me because I mod kind of the same way. (which is why my big integrations take forever XD). I really enjoyed getting to talk to you about possible integrations and maybe shipping some blasters over here. Even though it never happened you tried hard to make it work and I appreciate you very much for that. I also value your opinion on my projects very much, so thank you for all the feedback and help.
And on top of that, its like many other have posted here already, you are one of the most skilled and most kind modders in the community! Please keep it up and don't worry about content being more scare because of life things. After all your work is about quality not quantity!
    Love and sunshine,
    Rainbow

When I first began taking interest in our hobby my primary portal was Coop, mostly for his reviews and some older content for modifications. I soon became familiar with Drac's work, as well as Out of Darts, and eventually Captain Xavier. Through these videos I learned a lot and began tuning and upgrading my blasters to be more powerful.
Then I came across a video about a project called "Warlord", and the game immediately changed. It was the first time I had seen something quite like that; functional and artistic. I began browsing your video catalogue and found many other gems of inspiration.
I have since begun to delve into the world of integrations and endeavor to make something truly unique (though I still have a long way to go). Your custom projects inspire me to look at this hobby in a different way and to step out of my comfort zone for a challenge. Thank you, and keep up the good work.

I also love the calm relaxed vibe you videos have. I also enjoy these chair videos telling us your thoughts, it’s inspiring to see how everything looks so different from the original thing. The thing I like about your channel is you. After meeting you at endwar and seeing you walk around nervously looking and talking to people and their stuff, it was clear you are you. You don't have a presonality for your channel and are a genuine and kind person. As nervous as I was having you look at my stuff for the first time I never felt like I was being judged or compared to any one (it put my ego at ease but not my nerves, after all you do INCREDIBLE work LoL). I really enjoy watching your mod along series, and I love listening to your livestreams when I'm doing homework or something. I think my favorite part of your channel might be the music in the background. That plus the general tone of your voice and speaking style makes you very nice to listen to. Thank so much for what you do for the hobby. I would really like to see some gameplay in the Arena if that were an option, it seems like a really interesting venue and I would like to see how you have it set up in case I were able to build a similar space in the future. Plus I would like to see your Atlas loadout in action, if you still use it.

I first found your channel after buying a Kronos, and looking for a good video to walk me through the 6-shot mod. I asked you a question, which you answered pretty quickly, which was awesome. I watched some of your mod-along stuff which I think will be awesome reference information to have in the future because I want to do a large scale custom modded blaster at some point.
What really earned my subscription though was your attitude about everything. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your approach to everything. We're all just here to have fun, so have fun, and make sure everyone else has fun too. And your videos clearly all stem from that same place, where you like making neat fun things, and you want to help everyone else who is interested do the same. I remember hearing about your channel a while back from a MTB podcast, but I didn't really understand the concepts until a while later when I was older. It was when I saw the video where you talked with Searingpheonix about his Huginn's Claw build a few months back that really made me realize how cool your channel and similar ones really were, before that I never really payed much mind to integrations other than seeing yet another basic strayven now and then.
I feel like my favorite thing about your work on not just the channel but the hobby in general is the creative spark in it. There are a lot of people who can 3D print parts to modify and create new blasters in unique and interesting ways, but I've come to believe that its another thing entirely to look at multiple fully finished blasters and see something that wasn't designed behind company doors, and it isn't something I see done so well on really any other channel.
All in all, I hope to see you take things in new directions and hopefully inspire other people to do the same. After all when it seems like all the ideas are used up, its channels and modders like you that post something and make people realize "Oh yeah, I guess we aren't done with this idea yet".
Good luck to your future endeavors, and hear is hoping you continue to find enjoyment in this hobby and continue to innovate, helping to inspire it to grow further.

By far my favorite thing is these type of videos where it's as if we are just hanging out. There's no jarring meme or loud music that makes me feel like an old man. I'm from Minnesota so I could be biased thanks to the Charlie brown music. But its great!
I genuinely enjoy your integration work and it's the type of work I believe we all shoot for. The dog hanging out, I forget her name, but I can tell she's a well trained dog and that too is awesome to see. Not just a dog in the video, you've spent time with her and its obvious I'd like to just show respect for that.
And finally your generosity in the hobby is something I noticed that made me want to actually follow an online community. I also enjoyed the Chinese replica toy take Down you and coat duck did. It was interesting and funny.
Either way I enjoy your channel and I'm glad you have a good number of subscribers now. If this giveaway is still going on I'd like the patch if not oh well.
    I enjoy the content mr!

I always love when a new video of yours drops. So many pieces of inspiration and the fact that you go through your step by step thought process makes me think more too. You're long discussion vidoes in the chair I always enjoy listening to. I haven't met you in person yet but I hope to one day. Maybe get you to sign something of my work. Your creations always renew my interest in the hobby and keep me going. Congrats on 5k subs man

I have always enjoyed your mod along videos the best. I really enjoyed the fact that we both started a centurian/RS with in a few days of each other made nearly identical cuts on our shells. I look forward to seeing how mine compares to yours once I get it back from Clownie. He's doing the paint work on mine. Hope to be able to meet you some day and possibly hang out and work on Intergrations together.

Your content is excellent. I like the calmness and down to earth approach you take to speaking to people about their work and your own. Your work in the past and present has inspired my to look at modding and using different pieces to modding that I would have never thought of before.
Meeting you in person, for the short time I did, at Endwar and getting to chat with you made the trip worthwhile.
Win or lose, it matters not. I just wanted you to know to keep up the good work.

One of my favorite things about your content is the combination of your calm voice and the music that you use. I realize that in reality you probably don't have the music playing in your shop while you work but I somehow always imagine in my minds eye that you do.
As far as specific videos I think that the firefly stock explanation is one of your best, and I also really enjoyed the centaur build log series (probably because I came to it late so I could binge the back catalog and didn't have to wait for new episodes except toward the end).
If I win you don't have to send me stuff (when it comes to nerf I have enough and to spare), but thanks for being out there in the community. Keep up the good work.

Hello Mr Nathan. I'm actually sort of surprised you are only at 5000, I thought it was more by now. Your integration work is top notch and I don't think I am ever _not_ impressed when I see them. Hope to see you at Endwar 2020 again (I met you at 2018). Cheers. Edit: I'd like to be more specific but I am terrible with names (even blaster names) so I can't bring any of them to mind. I like the Stryfe-Centurion integrations at least. Content-wise I think the mod along / build log stuff is your bread and butter. I have sort of missed those.

Congratulations Mr Nathan on reaching this target. Your build guids are very intuitive and interesting, it has inspired me to mod, to have the confidence to do something out of the box (for me anyhow). I know the giveaway is just for north America but I just wanted to thank you for sharing your fantastic (amazing, brilliant and stupendous) build guids, the thought process of which part goes where, following lines etc is great for newbies like me. I've been into nerf for 10 months and I've watched your vids with interest, learning new skills to give me the confidence to do that first nerv wrenching cut. Thankyou Mr Nathan from an old British tank driving (mobility scooter with foam armour, covered roof and armed with a turret mounted Rhynofire, in red, go ream red) mad nerfer. Kind regards Phil.

There are a lot of high energy channels out there that I really enjoy, they're funny and entertaining in their way, but I really enjoy that I can come to your channel and just enjoy your calm and thorough approach to modding as well as some genuine and often thought-provoking commentary on the nerf hobby from someone who seems to really have a love for the community. Your channel reminds me of shows I grew up on like Bob Ross or The Woodwright's Shop and I love that. I also never mind that you don't bog me down with tons of videos to watch! Sometimes lots of content is great but sometimes it's too much and I have to start being choosy about what I watch because I just don't have the time.

I loved the mod along series because it inspired me to try an integration myself.
The blaster turned out to look good but I messed up and epoxied it closed so It ended up being very finicky, I would love to try another one but I don't have a lot of time right now.

You have given us so much over the years, mister Nathan! I’m absolutely glad you’re still going like the little engine that could! I feel that the coolest mod you have ever done (which I might steal the idea of😈) is the integration of the persuader into the scout and other blasters. Once again man, keep up the good work!

Hey Nathan. You do amazing work and really opened my eyes to the world of integrations. You’ve inspired me and many others to try new things and improve the hobby. The fact that you show the process of modding and your mistakes really sets you apart from other others and we all appreciate that. Thanks for making the nerf community a better place. Keep up the good work and thank you again.

Alrighty. Here's my thoughts. I absolutely love your attention to detail. The amount of time and effort that you put into your integrations is astounding. I first came to your channel after walcom reviewed the HellHound. And after watching your mod along videos, seeing your though process and ideas at the start and how the ideas and concept transform into a full working blaster at the end. It's been a huge help and inspiration to me. Thank you for what you do for our hobby.
(P.s. I can't wait to see more on the jackal and yellow jacket)

Most would agree you’re the best at integrating blasters in our hobby currently but what I like about you is how humble you are about your talent. I really enjoyed talking with you at endwar about the tools and the process you have for integrations. I think it’s super cool that you’re so talented but still so down to earth. I’ve met makers with half the skill and ten times the bravado. You’re a friendly guy who’s approachable and and knowledgable. I also really enjoyed your video about “nerf celebrities” and I think that was a great message for our hobby. I wish everyone was as humble and nice as you are, especially in our growing space.

I personally enjoy the build log-type videos! I love the insight it gives about the modding process and how it can go right or wrong. I know that you can always plan a mod in a certain way, but you'll have to change it if it doesn't work out. This, within itself, can lead to overall design improvements and potential innovations in the modding scene. You also show off really great techniques for certain aspects, such as shell work and painting, which is helpful to me (someone who doesn't know what they're doing half the time)!
The amount of time, effort, and finesse you put into your builds and videos makes the entirety of your channel entertaining and educational. I'm honestly glad that Walcom featured a build of yours, otherwise I wouldn't have found your channel!
I'd personally like to see a little more influx of content, but I'm not gonna push you too hard. I understand that life and such gets in the way and makes things difficult, but it's definitely something I'm looking forward to, if possible!

So i have not been here for that long. I think I have been subscribed to you for around 1 1/2 years now but your videos are so much fun to watch (even though you think its boring content XD). I love this community that you have helped build on RUclips and on discord and in the real world. I remember at ragnaroktoberfest 2018 you came and you had a booth. This was the first Nerf / foam flinging event I had ever gone to and I walked over to you and the first thing you said was how are you doing. I know that's like a normal thing to say but for someone that I look up to on a video streaming website was standing in front of me and was asking how I was. I was ecstatic to meet you and I asked you for an autograph. You walked to another booth and stole their sharpie just to write the words Mr. Nathan on my K26 Kronos. I used that Kronos the whole stalking dead match and I would see your name on it whenever I tagged someone or a zombie. Anyway this is getting kinda long lol, I just love your content and I want you to keep doing what you're doing!

I started watching you because of walcoms unboxing. Ever since I have been hooked. I'd say personally do more loadout videos before you leave for a flight or event. I enjoy seeing your tips and techniques on how to fix and modify a blaster. I'd also say make more things other than blasters, like masks I feel that would be so awesome

I enjoy how honest your videos are. So many in the hobby who are as involved as yourself are more focused on quick turnaround with their videos, and keep producing content based upon what is best received within the hobby. Your content, however, is based upon what interests you and is completed in a realistic timeframe. I particularly enjoy when you produce multiple videos which cover the same build, since it also highlights the amount of time and effort that go into each project, along with how frequent of an issue modders block can be. It is very refreshing to see a channel that has content which openly displays these things and still leads to the cleanest mods and integrations I've seen, and even better yet you are passionate about each of your projects. I hope you maintain this in the future, and don't fall to the temptation to simply produce easy and quick content.

I got into nerf about a year ago and am starting to mod. I love your content and your blasters. They are truly amazing. My favorites being the seamless strayven and the warthog. But not as awesome as your personality. You seem like such a kind person and you and other nerf youtube people are the reason my passion for this hobby has continued to grow! I would love to come by to your table at endwar if Im able to make it next year. :)

Hey man, I love what you do, and I'd love for you to keep doing it. You, Xavier and Adam Savage are the big 3 that got me into this as a hobby. Originally I just wanted to try painting a thing (that's where Adam comes in), but thanks to you and Xavier it ended up being a whole functional integration project, which lead directly to my first local game last december. This has lead to much enjoyment and new friends to be had, even got to meet Xavier at the Nerfin for Autism event! Hope one day I get to meet you somewhere as well. As far as what I'd like to see, I really just want to watch you make more things, so keep doing you :p But, if you must have a video idea, I took many things from your videos regarding materials and techniques, but I had to assemble that skillset myself from watching your mod-along series. The biggest thing was "Devcon" as you call it, and that's totally understandable, but that's rather like calling a specific spraypaint "Krylon." I had to frantically pause the video the first time you actually showed the package on camera XD So, I would love to see (for others' sake) a video dedicated just to your regular set of materials and maybe a few tips/tricks/pointers on each one, to make it easier for others who wish to follow in your footsteps. You've given all this info before of course, but a centralized (easily searchable) source of all that info would be fantastic.

Personally, I love everything you do that's mod related. The hell hound is one of the most amazing and favorite modded blaster I have ever seen. The mod along series were excellent I used to watch them when I was working in my hammer shot and my spamf paint jobs. I also love how you basically show your personal process for modding and integrating the blasters together. Honestly if someone else who is more deserving give it to them. I still remember the jackal build which I loved the design of the Raven, Longshot mixed with a touch of stryfe and underbarrel. I just wish I could mod like that lol. Well enough said thank you have a nice time reading the rest of the entries -Vincent
