The real star is the guy in the Adder who saw a random Anaconda duking it out with the game's most notorious douchebag and decided to help. In an Adder.

This could've been a chance for him to be classy. You know, fight like a gentleman and lose like a gentleman. But no, he has to call you a hacker and a cheater because there's no way he can bite off more than he can chew. After all, he's honed his skills to perfection by killing all those dangerous sidewinders.
The sad thing is, people like him have damaged this game more than any nerf by Frontier ever could. Because it's not the veteran players that are the target, it's new players who spent 20 hours in the game and have all that wiped away because of the ED equivalent of a schoolyard bully.

New player. I first got here, it said no fire zone. I seen a commander, thought nothing of it (people said people were friendly in this game). He targeted me, shot me once and I blew up. People are not nice in this game, this is why most play solo. Also, David from Frontier does little to nothing to combat the real hackers who fuck the background simulation. Instead they pick off any crumbs they can and call that an effort to keep a clean game.

In my experience, the majority of other Cmdrs are friendly. Deciat is just known to be full of rather hostile people.
Yeah no fire zone buddy means you get a fine for shooting. But most CMDRs are good people. Frontier are doing their best, but it is hard to ban as many hackers as possible without banning any abnormally good players who aren’t hacking.
With the levels of broken engineering, you can kill someone in a no fire zone and still get away
All zones where lots of players go (Deciat because of Farseer, Shinrarta Dezhra for Jameson memorial, LHS 20 due to Ohm City being like 2Ls away from mining area) are where players like these spend their time.
Invite only and Solo is the best.

In a game that is already very lonely a lot of the time (the split between Odyssey and Horizons sure doesn't help there either, iirc playing together between these wasn't possible) I wish there wasn't any truth to that. I *want* to meet other players along the way, and if it is only saying hi with everyone on their separate ways - and yet the worst players are filtering out some of the nicest into private gamemodes.
I think my favorite part of this is when you considered him so little of a threat that you felt confident to jump onto the fighter and leave the main ship controlled by the AI. To me thats the biggest flex lol

It's not the first time. Not everyone that kicks harry's can records it.
He did this to me last night. Saw some guy get behind me. I left the instance back to menu before he could lock on with his Interdictor. Turned out it was Potter. He then proceeded to hurl crap at me in game calling me a combat logger (no combat had even begun) he reported me to FDev. Banned me on his Twitch channel (he was streaming at the time) and the salt flowed from him. I consider it a badge of honour being banned and reported by the most notorius troll and bully in the game. Now if he had locked on I would have made a fight of it but he did not and the VOD will prove that. He was a crybaby that threw his toys out because he was denied a chance to bully someone. Nasty guy.
If you didn’t drop from SC to log out to the menu his complaint about combat logging was valid.
@@hadet If you haven't been interdicted, it's not combat logging. I log out from SC just to save myself time.

@@hadet you might not have enough time for high wake if he's already behind you, possibly preparing to interdict you. So objectively more reliable option is to go to menu. But it's kinda meh for me. I usually try high wake if I have a ship I know could survive if he interdicted me, and I could high wake even from combat.
As someone who flies Mamba and also lost his FdL multiple times to shadow ramming big ships I can you this: if you are ramming Anaconda head on with your Mamba you are doing something wrong. :)
@CMDR BouncyStickman Worse, actually. In a kamikaze attack, the target usually dies too. Mamba vs. Conda ramming there's usually only one casualty, lol

I can only thank you, my friend. This very arse burger is the reason I'm not bothering doing my exploration routes in open. Stalks only players with weak or none battle capabilities and equipment, boasts about it, but it is ready to cry when someone good returns the favor to him.
He was briefly in Distant Worlds 2 before it's start but got kicked for tricking non combat participants to do DW2 in open. He tried that crap with me and a few others by going in the DW2 discord by acting nice and like hes your friend. That guy is the worst.

Great vid. was looking forward to seeing this and wasn't disappointed. I see HP still loves to wake out, reboot, and come back with shields back online. I didn't know he'd turn into a Reverski though. /shame
He did that to me some months ago, and from that I learnt that the battle is won as soon as your target wakes out. Basically you beat him twice! lol.
To be fair once you boost in Mamba you are dragged about 4 km in a straight line whether you like it or not. :) This _might_ seem like doing a reverski from a relatively slow ship.

right on cmdr! no cheating here - all I see is payback from a skilled pilot, like the child he is he starts whinging and makes up excuses for when things dont go his own way - he thought you were an easy mark to spoil their day but instead he got a kicking from you, its a pitty you couldnt boost quick enough to catch him, then you could have made him walk the plank proper

I didn't repaired after the previous fight, but I could easily jump out from his mamba :-D The most valuable salt is the last sentence from him :-D

It wasn‘t Harry Potter, but I lost over a month of exploration data when I returned from a trip to the core of the galaxy to a different ganker. I was running a stripped down DBX without weapons. I had no chance since I couldn‘t defend myself, and he blew out my FSD that was damaged from neutron boosting almost immediately. He didn‘t even get anything out of it, he just did it to ruin me.
I haven‘t played in open since then.
And then these guys seriously complain about people not wanting to play in open, it‘s incredible

I stumbled upon his stream while this was just getting started. I couldn't stop laughing at him. He thinks he's way better than he actually is. Beating an experienced player is one thing. Beating new players or ones that aren't experienced in PvP is another thing entirely and doesn't make you good. And then add into that the hacking excuse for him loosing is just way too funny.
This guy is so sad, he came aboard my ship on MC during DW2... I was open for everyone, and he ejected my heatsinks... Talk about pathetic...

It is funny if you know the person whose ship you are in. It's a dick move to pull on a stranger that is kind enough to let you come aboard. You know how hard it is to find open multicrew seats when I try? I've only ever found an open multicrew to jump into ONCE.

When you watch these videos, you quickly realise that best engineering upgrade for Lasers is long range. You only need grade one so it's cheap but you do full damage over 3km instead of mostly hardly anything.
Focused is good too, increased armor penetration is useful for killing FSDs
Him and his buoys (Hairy Potter and crew) get stomped pretty regular, you just rarely see those vids. He has some skills, admittedly, but he is a coward. He and his friends rarely if ever engage on equal footing, preferring to stack the odds against their victims or griefing newer/lower ranked CMDRs. Which is pathetic & disgraceful.
Accusations of hacking are not uncommon from them, either. I watch the PvP Leagues every year, and cant recall seeing HP getting very far. I guess most of the guys in the higher tiers are using hax against each other.. and some hax are cancelling some of the others.. or something. I mean it cant possibly be that there are more skilled CMDRs out there than Hairy..? [/sarc]
Yep, they are well organized, and they have used every dirty trick in the book, I'll give them that (dirty drives god rolls exploits, premium ammo reloads to name a few) I never saw him much in the PvP league (I played first two seasons with my team BIG). However, this didn't stop him from calling me an exploiter and reporting me to FD when I showed 4 reverb torps up his ar$e. ruclips.net/video/i9eMG6q7iXw/видео.html I always had a lot of respect and good relations with all of the old PvP groups such as AA, ROA, Contrail, Triadius, but then I realised Vaseline Hawwy has no honour. It is a concept foreign to him. I was a bit surprised at the time but to quote Eminem: "I just don't give a ..." anymore ;)
Atleast now with the new Alliance systems the new players are somewhat safer from the seal clubbers than they were for a little while longer.

How a man plays vs how a boy plays. These guys could be the same age or decades apart but it's the actions that define acing like a man vs acting like a child. Children like to do things just to irritate, do the opposite, and the more attention the better. Which brings the reasons why ganking provides hours of fun. What's the difference of killing a easy NPC vs a person that's just started? Simple one gets mad. Now add in live steaming to amplify the satisfaction. Even this very post should feed the narcissism. Directly or indirectly it matters not that's how this works.
