What a real treasure. I don't have the funds to drop $250 on an engine, but there's no price on just lookin'... I've heard and seen somewhere of folks modifying O gauge motors to make custom standard gauge motive power, but by the sound of it this is a scratch built or kitbashed creation. It looks as beautiful as it runs!
The motor is scratch built ---way beyond anything I could make. I've done a number of conversions from 0 to std gauge on electric motors, for the most part an easy process.
That's a very impressive collection you got there and ill bet even those video gamers are saying that's cool, Also, If i had $250.00 think of all of the 'HO' stuff i can buy at those train shows, The previous owner of that locomotive must have been a highly skilled machinist who reworked that locomotive.
The machine work is way above my pay level---all wheels are geared and he has some type of flat spring set up the keeps the axles in place---it's like a Build a Motor but no bottom plate to keep the wheels from falling out.
Nice progress with the Hillclimber. I'm also curious what filler you used on the sides. The 0-6-0 locomotive is absolutely beautiful indeed. But the Hillclimber is my personal favorite 😏
Hi Steven, hey nice video. I really really like the 0-6-0 384 ! That is a special locomotive for sure ! What kind of filler did you use on the Hill Climber body? Big wind store in Utah. Have a nice day.
Wow, that's an awesome locomotive!!

👍💪Very nice 0-6-0. I was wondering where did you get the 5 rail track. I think I saw Gargrave made it in their version, but in tubular?
I made the track, easy to do.
