I remember how i was always at the verge of tears when Panther cried at 1:57, like i genuinely felt sorry for him that his uncle died as a 6yr old kid. Funny how sensitive kids are. Good times.

I didn't have horror games in childhood, but this one had the most suspense. The chases, the tickling bombs, feeling really afraid to lose health from enemies and obstacles... Plus, the themes of levels were somewhat creepy, especially Egypt (because I stuck on the plant level for a long time, and therefore completed the Egypt a lot of times, with it's tombs, echoing mummies, chasing Anubis - and in my version there wasn't music). And even the construction set was somewhat creepy - with it's humming wreaking balls and a clanking tube - that even years later, even not thinking about that game, I had dreams about somewhat existential construction-work platform games. It seems that the ship in the beggining is the only chase-level that is almost not creepy at all (well, maybe just the begging in the bilge sets the tone a bit). Yeah, and the stone-age was not very creepy, but if I had music, it wouldn't be that. X) And the first and a bit last boss was scary as well (dinosaur was unfairly easy for me).

English is my third language and when i was 6 i couldnt understand a single word of english, i mean, i knew the very basics like start, load game, new game, but if it was a whole phrase, i couldnt read it. When i saw the buttler saying " no no no no no " and that chicken, so i knew i had to get the chicken and he would me let me advance the game. If that was written in something like an objetctive, i probally was going to guess after a good half hour trying to understand what the game was telling me what to do
Underrated game. I remember playing it with my cousin on PS1. It was hard, but also very good. And we both liked the Pink Panther so this was like gold for us.
