That women. Have a million kids with her and never let her go. Sheesh. What a women. Appreciates her husband and gets up to help pack his lunch and make breakfast. God bless that women. Ain’t none of them left anymore.
Once a logger always a logger,I started in pulling green chain in Mill when I was 13 that mill was called Seaview I think sea was rock throwing distance, after that I at around 16 I started logging sitting chockers worked my way up to Faller, man I'm 65 now and I miss the woods and the smells of logging.
Beginning at 0:38, the yarder logging scenes at the beginning are Miller Shingle Company out of Granite Falls, WA. I used to work there. The big guy with the beard is hooktender Keith Cool.
because it takes a real man to say hey ! I'm a logger and i love my job the air the smells the rush of a close call no other job offers this kind of experience, except maybe crab fishing i dunno ive never been there but i can only imagine.. love yer logger because the dollar you spend and the toilet papers you wipe with was giving to you by men who risk it all for penny and simple satisfactions...
derek such well said brother. "Log to Live, Live to Log." Yes, by workin in the woods everyday we chance death. But for a logger not workin in the woods is death.
It's not the job that's special it's the people that have your back. I've been doing it for 27 year and I love the job even when I hate and the crew is always with behind you
@MrStryperfan Where do you live? I've been around the game for awhile and what I have learned is that for the amount of effort you put into Logging, the return is not that great but I love it all the same, if you love it then pursue it but, there will good times as well as bad.
Um! I know this vid is a little old, but I dont care. If that women is single now... I want her! She is a good women it looks like! That dude is lucky!
This is Hank Nelson singing, from Wasilla Alaska. I met Buzz's son Steve about 14-15 years ago for a project interview. I have his album too that he recorded with some of his dad's music. Steve's voice is a little different, a little deeper, kinda like his dad's.

Logging before it was killed by environmentalists.
That's the dumbest thing I've ever read. There wouldn't even be logging if it wasn't for "environmentalists". The trees would all be gone.
