You can’t beat $2.50. I got 2 hot dogs exactly the way you ordered it from one of the Nathan’s hot dog truck/cart in NYC and was shocked when the guy told me $20.00.
the only place around me that has hotdogs for a decent price are sams club or costco, all other places have hotdogs around 6-15$ then again these are restaurants and not carts. even the food trucks are charging like 8$ a dog...
There was a place in Hawaii on Hotel street that did hot dogs and he had New York onion sauce that was great!!! We went there after a night of drinking and I would eat two or three hot dogs with that New York onion sauce!! I’ve never had New York onion sauce, sauerkraut and mustard on a dog before . Will have to try that.
The second hot dog had the toppings in perfect order, too. I've never had a NYC hot dog, I wonder if Mr. Food's New York pushcart onion sauce recipe is an authentic version.
Hello Chris!... I'm from San Juan, Argentina... Let me comment first that i would like to have a street hot dog post someday. Nice video!!... Just i don't understand why $2.5 for a simple hotdog (1 sausage) with aluminum paper, mustard and onions when here you can find a giant hot dog (3 sausages in size) mustard, mayonese, ketchup and 1 sauce for $1.5, that is like 5 times more expensive. Hot dogs in NYC are very expensive.

Speaking of brooklyn one of the Best is at Atlantic Barclay Centre the guy charges $2 and he’s proud of that he says that there’s no need to overcharge people. There’s still a huge profit at $2 and it is the older guy that is closer to the empanada trucks do not make the mistake by going to the other one. There are two different hotdog stands, one of them sells only hotdogs and pretzels and he charges $2 and he said he’s been charging $2 forever and he’s very busy and still makes a profit older Pakistani or Bangladeshi guy
