Non capisco le traiettorie che seguono durante la gara, non capisco una mazza di tutto questo però mi fa piacere che gli italiani abbiano ancora qualcosa da dire, al mondo. Battere gli americani, poi, è sempre una soddisfazione.
le traiettorie dipendono dal vento, che non è uguale in tutto il campo di gara e sta al navigatore andare a cercarlo, inoltre hanno regole su come dare la precedenza quindi alle volte cercano dimettere alle strette gli avversari

In questo momento Ineos ha la barca migliore, più veloce che stringe meglio il vento. Luna Rossa e American Magic sono molto vicine come prestazioni, però gli italiani non riescono a fare buone partenze e sono costretti spesso a recuperare.
Oggi 2 regate emozionanti come da tempo non se ne vedevano.

In the last tack of the 4th leg, AM tacked too early. They should have covered LR another 50 to 70 meters. That was the race.

You guys might want to explain to the non-sailing or non-racing sailing viewers what the "pin end" is on the start line, since for the AC there is no committee boat on one end, but instead just 2 equal buoys.
Usually, the pin end is the port, or left side of the start line, looking from behind it up the course.

LR is much faster upwind than AM. No good performance of italian skippers in this regata. On the contrary rest of the crew was excellent in allowing good oil pressure through all race. LR won just because it is so superior upwind. Against Ineos it will be a different story. Unfortunately.

L'impressione è sempre la stessa, la barca sembra veramente molto performante, chi la pilota molto meno.
Si fanno sempre sottomettere in partenza , poi la regata diventa difficile, se non commettono ulteriori errori la barca riesce a risalire, altrimenti è disfatta.
Non è così. La telemetria dice che Luna Rossa e American Magic si equivalgono, o quasi. Il fatto che Luna Rossa abbia sempre battuto gli Americani lo si deve ai marinai. Poi, certo, le partenze si possono migliorare. Anche l'ultima decisione tattica di ieri era una cappellata che ci poteva costare caro.

Però la barca non può passare dal battere facilmente ETZN e Ineos e poi non riuscire più a farlo.
Secondo il mio parere l'imbarcazione statunitense è ottima ma non al livello delle altre 3.
Vedremo cosa ci dirà la finale, che sembra certa, anche se temo gli americani, Alinghi troppo inesperti.

I still say "pressure" is a bullshit pseudo-technical term. It's not pressure! It's wind! OK, wind sounds plain and non-technical. How about "velocity"? That would be correct. Wind happens when air flows from an area of high pressure towards an area of low pressure. The wind itself is NOT pressure.
