Wow, someone who moved more than I did in childhood! I went to 5th grade near Seattle, 6th grade in Devon, PA, 7th + 8th grade in Greenwich, Conn. and 9th grade in Basking Ridge, NJ. Before that, I was born in Idaho, moved to Spokane, Wash, then to Fort Walton Beach, Fla, then to Tacoma, Wash, then to Seattle suburbs - all before I was seven. We had some great cross country road trips sleeping 3 across in the back of a Rambler station wagon - loved it! I loved moving - couldn’t WAIT to get to the next destination. Guess that’s why I’m a restless adult.
OMG! Your bliss is contagious! I felt as though I were there. This is my favorite video. The cooking was wonderful. I love how you take a recipe and make it your own. I knew what you were feeling with just Sadie and you and nature. You were in a special place and I love how you were able to recognize it and enjoy it. I know that you are not religious but at the very least you had a spiritual experience. Your joy and gratitude about how all of the work you put in to train Sadie Girl has paid off. Thank you for letting us, your fans who wish you blessings upon blessings, share in your life on the road. I am 68 and your videos caused me to get a RV trailer, learn how to drive it, learn how to problem solve, and start a going every where I feel like. I have met so many women just like me and older who are doing this by themselves and leaving hubbies at home. Its all good. I just love you, girl.

This was such a special video for me. My partner and I were married in Bennington on Halloween of 2007. We lived in western NY and chose that day because it was the only day we both had a day off from work. We drove 5 hours there, got married in a quaint little coffee shop by the lady who owned it, then did a quick tour of town before driving 5 hours back. No witnesses, as neither of our families could (or would) join us. This was before marriage equality became law, so it was a civil union. I instantly fell in love with Bennington. We are nomadic now, but hope to return there someday. Thank you for sharing that gorgeous fall foliage with us. That is what I remember most about the area.
My favorite part: 1:41 - 2:10 -- so homey and the night sounds are very comforting! The entire video, though, is just beautifully done. All of the vibrant fall colors from the leaves, Sadie sitting in the babbling brook, and the marrow bone. At 32:36, the search for the brown-and-tan mobile home that you had remembered from your childhood was touching. You have been through so much, but you never complain, and you forge ahead regardless of what comes your way. Thank you Carolyn and Sadie for sharing!
My former husband, RIP, owned 5,000 acres on the east side of Pushaw Lake, and south of the Penobscot River, near Old Town and Bangor, which he developed and sold one 2 to 2.5 acre lot at a time throughout the 1980s and 1990s. This reminds me of that. Just beautiful land, water and trees. I just love your videos and thank you.

Going back in time is a hoot. Things look a lot smaller than our young selves remember. Just went to see a cousin whom had not seen since ‘67 in Pleasant Hill California, as I was in Houston Texas. Traveling west now, taking my time. The fall colors were amazing. Agree that nothing better than the crunch of leaves with maybe the sounds of a babbling brook next to the leafy trail!

That’s a revelation - my long haul symptoms have gotten better since my Moderna booster too. Not as much coughing at night, sleeping better.
