- Busy Signal verbindet Roots-Reggae mit Dub-Experimenten und aktuellen DJ-Styles. Seit seiner Debütsingle "Step Out" findet er sich regelmäßig erfolgreich in den Reggae- und Billboard-Charts wieder.
Mit echtem Namen heißt Busy Signal Glendale Goshia Gordon. Den Künstlernamen Busy Signal geben ihm später seine Freunde - weil bei ihm ständig besetzt ist. 1982 in St. Ann auf Jamaika geboren, wächst Gordon in der Hauptstadt Kingston auf. Unter dem Namen Busy Signal wird er mit einem Schlag bekannt, als 2005 seine Single "Step Out" erscheint. 2006 veröffentlicht er sein gleichnamiges Debütalbum.
2012 bringt Busy Signal ein Album namens "Reggae Music Again" heraus, auf dem er 70er Jahre Roots-Reggae, Dub und Rock mit aktuellen Deejay-Styles verbindet. Im selben Jahr wird Gordon wegen eines Stafverfahrens aus dem Jahr 2002 an die USA ausgeliefert, wo er in der Folge eine sechsmonatige Haftstrafe absitzen muss. Seit 2013 ist er zurück auf Jamaika und bringt regelmäßig erfolgreich Singles heraus. Sein Album aus dem Jahr 2019 - "Parts Of The Puzzle" - erreicht in den US Reggae Billboard Charts Platz 2.
