I personally think it's not just about using the same language. I think the argument is that their song made playas gonna play haters gonna hate a thing back in the year 2000 and that was when the terms used together came into broader public consciousness. When I heard Swift's song I instantly thought it was a use of the phrase in that original song. It's not that they invented playas or haters per se.
