Just responding to your question about leaded or unleaded. All I can say, cleaner your petrol, cleaner your "bang" in engine, less residue in cylinders, better longevity.. More concentrated fuel (92, 95 and some og will remember 98) more powerful your "bang", which pushes you forward. Hope this makes sense. Anyways, great video!
Very good comment mate! Thank you for the advice!
Nice video, I was just rode to the MCN motorcycle show as a passenger with my uncle and have been planning to get a bike for the last few months after doing my CBT when I turned 17. Got to sit on this bike and after seeing it in person I think I know what I wanna get, just gotta wait for when a decent condition second-hand one that will come around at the right time!
Nice mate, I'm looking around for a 2020 as well! Let me know if you get one!
Class mate, thanks again👍
Thank you!
Thanks man! I love this bike! :D
No Problem!
Yeah , I CANNOT wait to get it! But have to wait until December and it’s June! Arghhh but I’m so exitedddd
Awesome video bro keep it up I support u 100%
Thank you mate!
Good video and good clear talking all the best Australia
Thank you Australia ;)
great video, thanks for the info.
Thank you!
Sick video man
Thank you!
England does have some nice countryside roads !!! Especially in the summer time this bike would be fucking awsome !!! 😍 I need some transport for work, shops, gym etc.... this is my faviroute bike and I’ve allways wanted one. Getting a car is just to much time and to much money so this will be the best option. ❤️ I’ve seen loads of Yamaha yzf’s I’m good condition around £1200-1600, but like you said it is winter time so 👍🏼
Awesome! You should take a look at getting one!
Great video 🏅
Thank you!
Nice video man! Do you mind if I use the same video idea on the Yamasaki?
You go for it mate! Let me know when you've made it so I can watch it :)
NathNathNath cheers man!
Nice video 🔥
How about the riding position
Is that a UPRIGHT POSITION POSTURE 😊 RIDE SAFE ALWAYS 😎
I much prefer it! It feels great and thank you mate!
Super unleaded burns more efficiently but you won’t notice a performance difference on the road
Thank you mate! I've always wanted to know the difference!
Sounds good, looks like I've made my choice as what fuel to put it in now so thank you so much for your help! I appreciate it!
I've never owned an ABS model so its my judgement to make really. I prefer non-ABS just because that's what I'm used to! If you look up abs vs non abs, that should help you more than I can haha
I've got a yamaha yzf r125 2018, I top up on super £17, I do around 10 miles a day and it lasts two half weeks
That's awesome mate!
Did you sayed "800 a year" , Mr. therefor a S1000RR in Germany per anno ! UK/GB is hard to belive... I underline a ~180€uromony per year contract for 125ccm , 50ccm ~80€ , E-Scooter 39€ ...a second passport make sometimes sense
Sure Yamaha 125ccm is a longterm developing Powertrain ,near to me it was DT80ccm and XT125ccm and those guys have had no trouble -only border to wear replacements (mid 90's till 2000)
Where should I buy this from?
Insurance in my city costs only 55euros for a motorcycle 125cc
Super unleaded didn't help in performance on my Vanvan. It does last a bit longer though
Retro look?? :) C'mon man, you are not 5 ;)
For me, thats the real look - analog clocks. You can see the arrow climb those rpm's.
Haha, oops 😂 the old clock design is amazing but I prefer the digital dash ;)
Is the 2008-13 good? Especially buying a used one, I like the type clock it has
Yes mate! It's just as good of a bike!
Super unleaded has more oxygen in the oil, which make for better burning which is cleaner, that’s probably did make a difference
Ah okay, thank you for letting me know. I understand how it works now!
Nathan Barden no worries happy to help
Nathan Barden love the videos btw
Thank you mate!
Super unleaded has more octane count. Only makes a difference when using it in performance engines. ..
I bought a 2012 for 490€ and it had 50,00 km on it and it had a busted vents bought new vents for 80€ and now it's working like new
Thats amazing mate, that's a great deal. You'll make an amazing profit of off that one day!

@@makeouthill2409 you wish it was cap
Bro my bike costs £2700 and my insurance is 2k a year.... that’s fully comp and on a BCT licence as im getting an a2 in 10 months.
Edit: any tips on insurance?
Just be honest and get the best cover you can!
Is it comfortable to ride this on a motorway for long time?
I've never ridden on a motorway before but the YZF-R125 seat is very comfortable and the Yamasaki seat is also very nice
Is a 2011 model any good to get now? Found one for 2500 grand. Brakes are dodgy on the bike tho. Any suggestions where to find a decent one cheap??? Thanks
Hey mate, where have you been looking :)
i got mine, 65 plate first bike and paid 1800 12k miles or so, my insurance was 650
That's amazing mate! Mine was around £700-£800
@Toby _k yeah but that’s London for you tho isn’t it
I still bought it
Good choice!
Why its the insurance for this bike so expensive in uk ? in Romenia i pay 200$ per year and i have it on my name and i have 16 years if i do the insurance on my parents name i pay like 150$ because they are older ... ohh and yes in romenia you can ride it from 16 years :))
Wow, thats so cheap. I should move there 😂 and I'm not sure why, its annoying haha!
How tall do you have to be to ride that bike ? Great video I drop a like
I'd say any height as you can get it lowered!
@@NathRides but for it as it is as looking at getting one but I am 5'7 so don't know if I should
@@villartime go for it lol, i'm 5'6 and i'm looking to get one just get the seat lowered
I can only afford an older 2013-2015 Yamaha, but should I be concerned about the reliability with how old they are? They aren’t too old but I don’t want the engine to explode on me
Of course not! My Yamaha is from 2014 and I've never had an issue with it at all!
Nathan Barden is it slower than other newer 125 bikes? Can it manage highway speeds comfortably?
here on portugal brand new costs 6k
Wow, thats very expensive!
@@NathRides 5650€ plus documents 6000 and change
I heard that torque in 2019 yzf r125 is bigger than 2020 yzf r125. Is it better just to buy 2019 yzf r125 then
Yeah I guess it is then!
Have the '19. Absolutely love it, has the monster go faster stickers too XD
Yamaha 2019 has 11hp and its 8kw 12.4 torque 8k rpm
2020 has 15hp and its 11 kw
With 11.5 torque at 8k rpm
2020 its better
@@iknowyou267 ??

Hopin when (and if) I get a bike when im old enough i can get a 2008-2013 or 2014-2018 ver. Of this bike.
Hopefully i can find one for about 1.5k - might be a bit hard tho
Inc license cost, bike cost, insurance and basic gear - hopefully £5k
Idk if thats gonna work, so if u got any advice or think that this price isnt roughly correct, please point it out, thanks
You should be all good with that amount, it costs me around £2800 to get on the road mate. My advice is to make sure the bike you're buying an authentic and fair priced bike. Always look before you buy! You should be good mate, let me know how you get on!
@@NathRides Yup, still only 15 - so im gonna have to wait 2 year
Found a place to get a full license for £700 and started learning, via videos, the controls and laws and stuff
@@NathRides Also do you have any mods you would say are helpful, especially for new riders and are flush led indicators any good?
I’d love to see a head to head with the 2019 model and previous models to show the difference in acceleration and top speed. From riding both do you see a noticeable difference in performance?
I've rode all 3 gens and I can say that Gen 3 is the best!
Do you get Pain in your back ?
No, almost never!
I am 6'3 and 85kg, will i fit on this bike?
Hi mate, I think you would!
Can a 196cm tall person drive that yamaha yzf-r125
I am 189cm and I find it very comfortable to ride
Hey, I am 6ft1 and 78kg I would like to know if I would look ridiculous on the bike or is it fine.
Hi mate, I'm simular size and weight and it sits comfortably on me :)
@@NathRides Thanks bro.
Ok but now suzuki gsxr 123 or Yamaha YZF-R125 ?
I had to choose between a Suzuki or Yamaha haha.
Nathan Barden I probably bought one this year but I am VERY undecided
Would you say this is a good day to day bike?
I would, its amazing
@@NathRides Thanks Nathan, been looking for a channel like yours for some time. Glad I found you.
Fuel average per litre
I'm not sure, I've done 250 miles on 1 tank before with about half left
Have I done something wrong lol? I ride an 09 r125. First bike, I'm 25 years old, 7 years no claims on a car license, my insurance is 150 quid for the year lol... Sound right to anyone ?
Haha, taking your age and location into account, thats probably correct haha
@@NathRides sweet. I was worried I had set the insurance details wrong lol.
I'm riding on a CBT but my license says a and am. Need to do my A1 and A2. Is this still a full license ? Or provisional bike license ?
From how much money you bike this bike????
Around £4700
New around £4700
Used around £1500-3000 (generally depending on condition and year)
are 13,000 miles high for this bike because im about to purchase, it has just had its mot
13k is a higher end but nothing to worry about!
@@NathRides what u on about lol 30 k is high
Yeah, but 13k is moderate use. 30k-40k is high. Hence why I said nothing to worry about up :)
@@NathRides ok mate I’m thinking about getting one is 5feet 7 alright to ride easy
i am 188cm (6"2), would i fit on this bike?
Yes you would mate!
@@NathRides okay, thanks for letting me know!
Not a problem at all!
£1700 jeez my insurance is £300 for a year and my area is dodgy af
Wow, my insurnace is around £700
I got a quote for 400quid full comp as a fresh passed. But i am 27.. i also got quoted 700 for a 2005 zx6r fresh passed. My friend with 2y ncb paid 645 on his zx6r 🤷♂️ insurance is bullshit
I have £2400 and im really tryna find a good price on this bike or maybe a wr125x
Facebook marketplace is an amazing place to look! £2400 is a great budget!
@@NathRides I was told to join a facebook group related to the wr and the r125 and there are some good prices on there. people sell parts, they're good condition as its kinda an owners club. I have until January to find a decent one for under my budget
Good time allocation mate! They'll sell for less as its coming into winter too! Its definitely worth joining Facebook groups too
@@NathRides To buy the bike and insure it is gonna be challenging for a £2400 budget so I'm gonna insure it monthly for a while but yeah, hopefully i can pick one up
You can do it! I managed to do with £1500 as 17! You can do this
how many km/miles does the engine last?
I'm not sure, I know its more 80k miles though
The engine will last longer than the bike. The more you look after it and keep up with regular servicing and maintenance it will last a very long time
Bruh I have to pay 3000 for insurance. Probably cos I’m 17 and live in London
Ahah, I'm 17 too
Wait what how
@@kevingonzalez9870 3rd party, fire and theft. 1 years no claims. I'm not sure why it's cheap mate
Kevin Gonzalez hey bro I have a Yamaha too I live in London man I have no friends that ride it’s annoying add my snapchat joshua_q07
I'm thinking of getting one too, but could a short guy like me, I'm 165cm tall, ride it? Also, is it comfortable to do a long journey on?
It is comfortable! I'm 6'2 and its perfect! You'll love the YZF-R125 for anything
@@NathRides thank you for the reply mate! It's currently number one on my list. I like the KTM Duke too, but it's not as fast, and might be too tall for my height.
No problem at all mate, the YZF-R125 & KTM RC125 are really tall bikes. The YZF-R125 is probably the fastest though haha
@@NathRides I hope I am tall enough to ride one!😂
No mention of performance comparisons between the years?
I will make a video describing the differences for you
Nathan Barden cooool! Drop me a shout out! 😉
getting my first bike next march and ill be 33 then they can get fucked if they say its gonna be 1700 quid for insurance haha
Haha, is that what you've been quoted?
@@NathRides no someone on a video said a 33 year old got quoted that haha i did one myself other day for a 400cc and it came to about 550 to 740 with breakdown cover and full comp. Update. 987 for insurance haha. Also does the neutral light show each gear too ?.
Want torque and speed? Get a 600 instead..
I would but im only 17. Got to be older in the UK for a 600cc
Smh im from germany and i think you drive wrong side
Haha, I could say the same about Germany 😉
Nathan Barden 😂😂😂 nice
