Aunty Genoa was my first experience in Hawaiian music, and left me breathless. So grateful I got to see her in person! Mahalo Nui Loa for posting this!
I had the amazing and once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see Aunty Genoa at the Kaumakapili Church on Oahu back in the late 1990's with her grand daughter, they were playing ukulele together and singing together. It was nothing short of an almost out-of-body experience!
What a treat! I miss Aunty Genoa so much. Po'Maika'i is also a beautiful singer. Grandma taught her well. So nice to hear Gary and the others, too. Mahalo from Oakland CA
The greatest Hawaiian Singer Ever!!!!! She is the Front face of the mount Rushmore or Mauna Kea of Hawaiian music. Love you Aunty! Thank you for all the music that we can pass on. My 17 year old Daughter sent this to me. Your music lives on even for those that came after you!

I met her Nephew Michael Ritchison, Arline's Son! He loves to talk about his Hawaiian heritage and I love his kindness. His Mom is very pretty. I loved the song and I shared it with my family. !
