    wow his story behind the band name. I assumed it was from that really old BBC newscast about skinheads. from like 83. The Phrase is used in that to compare the skinhead look to that of punks. it was probably taken from something earlier knowing british media at that time. idk i just assumed it was from that BBC news thing. its in many docs and stuff. kind of a watchword thing for brit skins

Come up with some deep, unique, interesting questions. Avoid most status quo questions. It was so good to hear this, but I want to know about his background. @thepunkrockreview  Год назад +4

      Agree to disagree there I guess. I mean, CMI has put out my 2nd favorite album of the year but Rancid dropped maybe their best album. I don't have them far from each other in terms of what I like, but to say that about the Rancid album is ridiculous

    • @travischarlessmithOKC
      @travischarlessmithOKC Год назад +1

      @@thepunkrockreview Wow! Interesting. you really like Tomorrow Never Comes?! It has some gems, but start to finish it doesn't quite do it for me... maybe I need to give a few more listens. I discovered Rancid right after they released And Out Come the Wolves. I bought their self titled Debut first, loved it, then I bought Let's Go! which became my favorite Rancid album, and I would listen to it multiple times a day every day, and played it on repeat every night of the summer of 1998. That same summer they released a more experimental album, Life Won't Wait, that was totally different and original, wasn't my favorite, but I came to love it more and more as I got older. Their next album was a great, aggressive hardcore album. I kinda stopped following as much after 2003 and the albums that followed. Rancid will always have a place in my heart. They were the first band I truly fell in love with. So when I heard you say they were your favorite band, I instantly related to you.
