I'm mining for the next bull run, I just got into mining during this last bull run, and saw the people that had mined through the bear market making alot of profits. I want to be that person next bull run! As long as i can afford my power, I'm still mining
Wouldn’t it make more sense to just buy the coins at the Lows if you believe in a recovery? Covid really confused you people. The demand for gpus and that inflation will not occur again. It’s a very very very slim chance.
Pro tip: keep mining. I stopped mining ETH back in 2017 when profits went down. If I had kept on going I wouldn't need to worry about money anymore. Keep going everyone
I did the same shlt in 2018 but last year I started mining again, but now with more efficient cards. I built 3070 rigs and now as the profits go down, I am happy with my decision
Mining is still profitable. Thank you RP, I'm still rocking with Dallas Texas electric prices .141cents per KWH, while dealing with the heat, 2.103 GH/s ETH on HiveOS. To help with the electric cost I'm running a 7kw solar system producing about $140 a month. Currently on the sliding scale I'm netting about $900 per month. I'd rather be netting 3k like this past October-November 2021 but 900 is nothing to snarl at. Best wishes
I'm doing the same thing. I did sell my bigger cards (like the ti's) for a great price before the price crash on gpus, just to put it to the side for better efficiency cards.
You can also spend what you would have on electricity and buy the crypto you like directly. The problem right now is its not clear what will be the next "winner" . When I started mining in 2018 I felt Ethereum had another good run in it. Right now, I don't know what future project will start attracting investment dollars.
This is great news for the GPU Market. It becomes affordable to everyone and not just the people who want to mine internet chucky cheese tokens with them.👍
I still find 3080Ti to be the king for mining. I'm driving over 1GH/s with 275w per card, 9 cards in an octominer x12. That's an average of 425KH/w. 3070 is cool and all, but space is valuable, and I like that value.
Exactly. As a hobby it makes more sense to go bigger GPUs. Every GPU needs the same space, accessories, maintenance etc. its not a full time job. Also high-tier GPUs have better resale value to gamers when it all goes POS.
I am one of the ones who can't continue to mine. Electrical in CA is .30 per kw, and I was mining with 4x 3080s and 5x 3070s. Mining is awesome, to all those where the costs are not greater, mining is a blast and should give it a shot.
I’m in Georgia and get $0.075 from June-September and $0.056 from October-May so I got a little wiggle room. I’m using this time to stack up on hardware, but I’m stacking solely ASICS to ensure as much as I can that I can continue to mine during the bear market.
Love the RTX 3070s too! I have 9 3070s, 1 of them is a LHR but never had any problems out of any of them. I got 2 RTX 3080 founder editions and had to replace the heat pads which was insane to me!
We are keeping all our GPU running,& shut off all ASICS ( heat power cost, & cost AC just too much). The low heat , lower power cost on gpu( and reduced profits) the cards are winners for right now. The change is amazing just 6 months ago( almost 70,000 BTC almost 5000 ETH).... But cost equ is lower, Just purchase 1 gpu 3090 at MSRP at Microcenter, picked off shelf!( no camping over night..... .Great Job RPM! watch you daily....
I stopped mining as my electricity wen to 30p usd per kwh, it barelly make any profit not not mention after mining 1000£ there is tax 20% let say I mine 5 usd a day electricity cost 4 usd and tax is 1 usd. But it was worth it back while especially at winter heating my flat with just 1 rig in middle. Building PC/selling parts and buying crypto with cash during bear market.
Hey good job have a awesome day! I am moving my vacuum chambered rig out of the tent and completely off the air conditioning thanks to Red Panda explaining that I don’t need it! I should know later today my results :-)
Yes I drew the same conclusion after mining with all brands of all RTX 3000 cards. FE 3070 uses a single 8 pin pcie cable and 62MH/s @ 115w for about $500 and when lhr was an issue for RMA you didn't have to worry about receiving an lhr for an rma fhr
Although I do not believe mining will be profitable for at least a while after the transition of Ethereum to POS I will continue mining to heat up the house in the winter. Whatever coins are produced I will flip to ETH or maybe invest in staking via Rocket Pool. @RPM always enjoy watching your videos.
I wish the things I get into would go up instead of down. I started mining ETH in May of 2021, and I was making $100 to $150 a month with just 2 GTX 1060 6Gb. The London fork hit in October and I was down to $40 a month. I was able to buy a 3070 Ti in April, but now the price of ETH is crashing. Any improvement I'm able to make is too small to matter. Story of my life, especially when it comes to money.
How do you mine all those miners at home since power for each wire circuit can only handle 1700-1800 watts? What did you do to get all the power to manage all the miners?
I’m into personal finance(stocks crypto etc.), I just got into crypto mining in January 2022 I’m addicted and as an investor when prices become cheap it excites me so I will be continuing my crypto mining journey
I like RX570s. One thing to take into account with mining is you can write off your hardware and electricity expenses so you save on taxes. It all depends. Do the math see how you end up with the most crypto ;)
Turned off my last rig a few days ago as the market dropped so far it doesn't compensate for the power cost here in the UK. Doing a DIY solar install with battery, which is a considerable cost £10k+ but even without mining it's still worth it with the rip off power costs here. Mining to resume later :)
Appreciate the overclocks, just got me some 3070 FEs, too! I'm going to mine until I can't cover the electric costs. As long as there's profit, there's profit...and a trade off for heat come winter ha. Then go week to week post merge, and see how I can use my neighbors power (kidding).
If the cost of energy hadnt gone crazy, i'd still be doing it. At the moment I just have my main machine mining away at 95Mh/s down from 500Mh/s as my energy bill went from around $140 to over $350, which signicantly ate away at profits and with it all being housed in the home office where I work (which got uncomfortably hot) it just became unfeasible to stick at it. If I had access to solar or could set up in a country where electricity is under 10c per KW, it would be fine but here in the UK, its around 38p (45 cents?) per KW and getting worse week on week.
So many questions for you. I don’t really want mining per say, it’s a hobby, I am intrigued by how professional you are in your you tube video and your whole structure of your videos. Im praying you will not have a problem finding content to make when mining becomes unpopular for a year or so. I for one want to hang in there with you all and contribute where I can. Peace out.
Hey here is a question for you. It could even be a good video for future. When ETH goes POS, what happens to any Eth owed or owned. I assume they will convert to Eth2.0. But you cant sell eth2.0 so will it become tradable or are you stuck holding till the option to sell becomes available? I was debating on like a week or 2 before it, waiting for a last payout then go to another coin mining and maybe selling so my money aint locked up. Then I could always buy in when I think things are ok.
I'm gonna Write this again... Please, do not add black stripes to the video, change the aspect ratio. I look at mining right now as a hedge against inflation. I've bought all my 2GH of hashrate at retail and paid cash. Sure, I could have sold all my cards at the peak, but that cash would just be sitting in a bank LOSING value because of inflation. So I'm mining Eth up till the hour the Merge takes place and will Hodl it till it blows up. I'll figure out the next step after that.
Qué buen precio! Hoy acá en Argentina compré una 3060 por $500 dólares americanos 😭 Fue lo más económico que encontré en esta jornada de hot sale en mi país 🇦🇷🫡
Sold of one my 3090 FE from my tiny 7 gpu rig. Now much less hashrate but much lower power consumption. Electricity costs in France are killing me :( but i love mining and i won’t stop!
Electricity rates in my area are $.30-.32kwh. It cost me approximately $90 a month to run my rig. It's making 0.1 Eth in about 40 days. So it's barely profitable right now.
In my case, i mine for the long term for sure, but I mine directly to my pay wallet on binance, so if i gotta buy some food in the stores or something, sure i'll swipe my binance card 'n sell like what, 5$ worth of ETH each time? (also, i get 2% cashback :D)
I've got to replace the air filters in my mining shed. Here in the next week or so as part of annual maintenance. Probably going to upgrade all of my miners onto PDU and start over clocking and undervolting. Since I'm running stock settings. Probably gonna break down two of my 12 card mining rigs into eight card mining rigs for better stability. Alot of people need to rethink their mining strategies. But now is the time to buy and invest in new graphics cards.
Have you noticed that the 3070Fe run a little hotter as compared to the non FE. I dont see a whole lot of performance diff but def much better for really cold weather lol
yes. FE's all run hotter than any board partner card, applies to the entire 30-series lineup 3070 FE's in particular are bad when you line them up in front of each other- 3060 ti isn't quite as bad with temps, but 3070's get the couple extra megahash
There are those who think we are still not through this "everything bubble" which includes crypto. Could be some pain ahead, although not without light at the end eventually.

an easy way to do a life change thing is dont buy drinks. use that money for a GPU. and use mining money to buy another gpu, and so on. its not a lot but i got my two gpu pay off in a year.
Your a champion RPM, good chat mate, your on song as far as I'm concerned, thanks for helping me and others go about mining today and tomorrow. Kudos bruz, the bear market is prime for acquiring stock, I missed buying early 2020. I don't regret it though, I've used the time to watch you lads, Vosky and now TPS and Mining King as well. Now I know the the whole cycle, I'm happily ALL IN for the long run 🍻
Only have 2 cards 1080ti and 3070 and make about $1.5 or less daily after electric. But once eth dies mining is dead if your paying 10 cents or more. Its better tp spend that 6 card rig money and buying eth or somethinh else that will go back up 80% in the next bull market
I'm mining for the next bull run,
I just got into mining during this last bull run, and saw the people that had mined through the bear market making alot of profits.

Wouldn’t it make more sense to just buy the coins at the Lows if you believe in a recovery? Covid really confused you people. The demand for gpus and that inflation will not occur again. It’s a very very very slim chance.

Yep, true

3070 FE was my first new card ever, got it at launch for gaming. That card started this whole mining adventure for me.
Same! Very glad it happened
same here
I thought your sponsor was gonna be Nvidia the way you were pointing the camera when you said that 🤣😂
Ya same
That was a pretty good bait and switch. 😂

Yip you have to play a long term game. Mining isn't for the get rich quick crowd.

This is great news for the GPU Market. It becomes affordable to everyone and not just the people who want to mine internet chucky cheese tokens with them.👍

an easy way to do a life change thing is dont buy drinks. use that money for a GPU. and use mining money to buy another gpu, and so on. its not a lot but i got my two gpu pay off in a year.
Did you start out on you tube from nothing or what was your starting point?
Your a champion RPM, good chat mate, your on song as far as I'm concerned, thanks for helping me and others go about mining today and tomorrow. Kudos bruz, the bear market is prime for acquiring stock, I missed buying early 2020. I don't regret it though, I've used the time to watch you lads, Vosky and now TPS and Mining King as well. Now I know the the whole cycle, I'm happily ALL IN for the long run 🍻
Lets go!!! Love this!
i have got 12 of them :D all off them kicking out 62-63 mh/s at 119 Watts
Do you have a LLC mining?
Only have 2 cards 1080ti and 3070 and make about $1.5 or less daily after electric. But once eth dies mining is dead if your paying 10 cents or more. Its better tp spend that 6 card rig money and buying eth or somethinh else that will go back up 80% in the next bull market
why 3070 over 3060ti ?? asking for a friend...
