Just bought from eBay (gen 1) for a very reasonable price ($1225) .. really looking forward to having this.

Yet another super informative video from the best watch reviewer on the 'tube. I've desired an X-33 for so long it isn't funny. This only adds to my appreciation, what an incredibly cool watch from Omega.

Govberg Jewelers do these quartz omegas age well? Are they reliable?

They are quite reliable. As long as you take care of the watch (like any automatic or manual) quartz Omega's will last. There is the chance that after quite a while the circuit will need to be replaced (similar in theory to a movement replaced in a automatic) but regular maintenance and care will help avoid this.

Quartz movements can last for decades, just as mechanical ones. You can find examples of Omega, TAGHeuer, Seiko, Casio, even Rolex OysterQuartz, just to name a few, dating back to the 70's !

Govberg Jewelers thank you for your reply and great vid. Ive always had affordable watches, quartz and mechanical (swatch, seiko, tissot, vostok) and all of them were reliable. But they had simple movements and were inexpensive, so i was never worried about reliability. Im considering buying a higher end watch, being the speedy pro my favorite. Hand wind chrono, solid caseback, plastic crystal, great history, great brand, the works. But a good one in second hand approaches, usd 3 grand... Out of my league. So now im looking for 90s mechanical tudors or a high end swiss quartz. Ive found nice x33 gen 1 for around 1700 usd and I am tempted but also a bit cautious, because i probably wont be able to service it outside omega and ive heard horror stories about the gen 1 (which might not be true) . Cheers, keep those vids flowing.

Finally. A watch with an alarm you can actually hear. Let’s see Citizen, Seiko and Casio catch up. Are you listing guys?

Hi there. How do I turn the alarm off? How do I set the analog and the digital for the same time ?

Is there any way to cut off the battery usage if the watch were to be stored away?

Are all the generations, 3, the exact same case size?
Its been a bit hard to find information about this.
