Potchatino was never the right fit in the first place.
      And from what
      The Media was saying
I think Potchatino know for a long time what was coming.
Personally think the players have know for a leat two months & that is why the form picked up because they want to make sure they are in the new mangers plans how ever it will have been watching the games some how
      I honestly dont think
the dramatic up turn in form had anything to do with Potchatino.
      If uou remember back to
      The League Cup Final
agent Liverpool he was absolutely clueless how to change it tactically against Liverpool I believe that was the hame that got the ownership thinking if Potchatino was truly the man for the job
I am not saying they made up there minds then just at that was the first seed of doubt planted & it grew from there.

As a Chelsea fan for over a decade, I'm sad that Poch is leaving, but I think this just shows how fickle alot of the fans are, I can remember as recent as the Arsenal game, so many fans were calling for Poch's head. Everybody is annoyed because Chelsea won their last game, but had they ended the season on a loss, there would be a different mood to Poch leaving. As a fan I'm unhappy that Poch is leaving because he brought stability to the club which hasn't been there since mid 2022, but at the same time, games like the Arsenal game, Carabao Cup final, FA Cup semi final showed that maybe Poch is not the manager for big games. Whether thats more on the players or Poch only time will tell. Just my 2 cents.

This was clearly decided weeks ago which is why Chelsea have been in contact with Amorim, De Zerbi Tuchel and McKenna. The way Poch talked about how managers can also be unhappy and leave, and his body language whilst talking about his "nice private meal with Todd Boehly", were clear signs he wan unhappy about not being backed with a contract. Boehly and Co are still making the same mistakes. What Poch did last season with that squad was remarkable and he leaves with his own reputation strengthened.

@@thokozanidubazana527 How many of those players could play for City, Arsenal or Liverpool which is who Chelsea owners wanted to compete with? Disasi, Badiahsile, Jackson as the only striker, Noni, Challobah, Petrovic as only keeper, Chukwuemeka, Ugochukwu, Casedei, Washington as the only backup striker? Also with struggling to adapt players like Mudryk, Caicedo and Enzo with the whole squad being bloated and immature with no experience in the dressing room? And whilst there take out James, Chilwell, Nkunku, Lavia which is the equivalent of losing TAA Walker White, Robertson, Gvardiol Zinchenko, and whatever you consider to be the best forward and one of the best young midfielders at all clubs. Tuchel and Lampard's first season did well at Chelsea because he had James and Chilwell fit and able to play regularly with both full backs at their best, and Chelsea are never the same team without them under every manager since.
