The hunt was great, but the comments you made toward the end of your video were priceless.
You've made me realize how short life is. And that time continues to escape us, no matter our best intentions.

I agree, make it happen. Take the time to make the hunt. My hunting buddy was diagnosed with cancer 14 weeks later, she was gone. We never got to shoot pigs in Texas, or hunt elk in Colorado, because we were too busy. We planned to do it ‘later’, well later never came. Freaking go for it, before it’s too late.

      @ Papa Romes Outd
It's not like I'm a stranger to hunting or shooting, but it truly saddens me to see these guys go for the rack and leave the animal - no meat. If you're going to kill, kill for the meat, also. That's something I couldn't do. I couldn't kill for the rack alone. It's an unwritten law and it is sinful to solely kill for the majesty of the beast, alone.
This is one lost reason why the white man is held in such low esteem. Not a thank you to God. Not an apology for taking the majesty as a trophy. Nothing and that is truly, sad.

@@lizziesangi1602 In Alaska there is a Wonton Waste law. Everything has to come out and if it does not, the guides license is in play and there can be huge fines. Not the case in Canada. While the regulations do say you have to bring the meat out, it is not always done. There is nobody who checks on the meat as there is in Alaska. Canada is pretty much a head hunter’s money making operation and that is sad.

If you can kill something as large as this with a "sharp stick", you can kill it with nearly any rifle caliber. The key is to have a well trained shooter, a good bullet out of a rifle you have trained with at a reasonable distance for the caliber.

@@kuiuultralight Hey Kuiu, this comment and the others while wrong on their presumption that the meat is not taken are only responding to what is in the video. You should edit the video to show meat being taken out, and perhaps Brendan enjoying some of it with his friends, or with family at home. When you neglect to celebrate the food you miss the entire moral justification for the death. Please consider that.
