What are your thoughts if in the 3 zone system only the front passenger gets heat while the driver and rear do not?
Joshua Miller just saw your comment. I would check the blend motors.
Does this fix still apply with Odyssey 2007 when only hot air comes out in front but all the rear still blows cold & hot air? Problem started with clicking sounds on the rear passenger side (trunk). Thank you for your smart, well thought ways of showing us.
Thanks it was the blower motor easy fix
Perfect Video... No terrible music or 15 minutes talking us to death before you do the work. Just plain, professional removal and replacement of the discussed items.
Thank You Very Much!

I agree..
I like how you put the same parts back. Shows you did the video to help without having to. Thanks 👍🏼
Agree 100% with "Perfect Video... No terrible music or 15 minutes talking us to death before you do the work. Just plain, professional removal and replacement of the discussed items." WELL DONE - GOOD JOB - THANK YOU !!!!!!!!
Dude, I realize your video is 2.5 years old, but your handy work just saved my ass!!!! Thanks! Great video!!
I like these videos. Thanks. No talking and just action.
It took me way too long to find this video, but so glad I did. Thanks for the help, dude! Keep up the good work. @ChrisFix vibes here.
Thank you soooooo much...i removed the panel and found that i didn't even have that transistor...the plug was there but no part. so i bought the transistor plugged it in and presto...i have rear a.c. I can now hang meat in that van it's so cold. Again...Thank you
letter1967 🤣😂🤣
Very professional. Superb video. Honda should pay you for these videos.
I don't think they'll do that haha #avoidstealerships
This worked GREAT! I simply disconnected the motor and no more clicking :)
I did the same lol
This solved the problem with our 2006 van. The back just suddenly stopped blowing air (hot or cold). We followed your steps to get the back panel off and replaced the back blower resister. It was super easy. $60 lifetime warranty part and less than 30 mins (we had a nine year old helping and I was vacuuming as we went, so it would have been quicker). THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!
Awesome! Glad I helped!
Ok question now. The fan in the back worked from Sunday afternoon until Friday afternoon. Blew both hot and cold. Friday it suddenly stopped again. We replaced the resistor and it immediately worked.....now what should we try next?
Just to clarify, we replaced the resistor on Sunday and it immediately worked - remained working for 5 days. Looking for direction on what to work on next.
@@littlemidge00 Did you replace it with an OEM resistor or aftermarket?
@@littlemidge00 sometimes you have to look at fuses before removing parts
How can you dislike this video?? Thank you for showing us this!
Unfortunately there are many people like this in the world.
Thank you so much! God bless you and your loved ones!
I had bought cheap fan on amz fail in 30 seconds so I return got 1 for twice price at local automotive store all good now. Tks again for great video.
Use oem parts only
You made that look so easy. Thanks
Awesome video! Subscribed! Looking forward to watching your other videos. Thank you!
Also with your video I’m able to get to that motor in seconds. 👍
I didn't want to bother buying a new or used actuator so I drilled a hole through the side panels so I can put a long device in there to turn the actuator for summer and winter. Even a socket would work using a long extension.
Thank you . Great helpful video.. Do you have a video that shows how to replace the front ac blower?
Yes in this video: ruclips.net/video/nYJl8R9lOYI/видео.html
I have to subscribe been looking for this.
i agree with all the comments, really great video.
In my 2015 Odyssey, the rear ac unit makes cranking type of noise whenever I start the car and then it goes away after few minutes and everything runs fine. Any idea which part of the motor might be problematic ?
Best to remove the interior panels (in your van it's on the driver side) and have someone start it up and check where the noise comes from.
I have the same problem, the dealer just told me that they have to change the rear motor $500 usd. I will try to changed by myself.
I’d like to say this video was phenomenal. I do have a quick question. Heat/AC works up front just fine. Rear controls was working last year. I turned it on the rear out my hand up to vents and felt nothing. Any idea on what I need to replace? 03’ Odyssey
Do you hear the rear blower blowing? If not change the transistor.
MrRangerZr1 thanks for the reply and yes I hear the blower in back. It worked for awhile blowing out of vents then I switched knob from hot to cold and it eventually stopped blowing.
Through the vents motor still on but a little lower
so just wondering ?no rear cabin air filter for a/c? you are AWESOME!
No surprisingly lol
Thank you in mines I can hear the blend motor actuator making a creaking crunching noise sound like a a roten back there or a mice but everything works back there so far nothing has conked out yet.
Yours is the best video pointing to what could be causing the clicking sound @ the rear, passenger side, of my Odyssey 2007. You made me aware of what was in there! But then my AC begun to blow only hot air, in front, both driver & passenger sides.
When controlled from the rear (2nd row, left side ceiling), AC can still blow cold & hot air, vents are working. Does this video still show the very same part to replace? Sorry, but I’m getting confused with L & R Main, Mode, & Main blender actuators. Does my Odyssey 2007 use the same part number? @MrRangerZr1, Thank you for your way of showing us!!
Very first thing I would do is check the freon level. For that, you have to take it to a shop and they hook up this $5k machine to the van. Don't ever use those recharge cans sold at autostores, they don't tell you the whole story.
My 2012 Honda odyssey not blowing ac in middle row and 3 rd row but everything works great at front row.what should I replace and your video for what year model
blend motor
Thank you for the video. Do you know if the rear motor and front motor are the same? I clicked on the link and it says that it doesn't fit my van.
front and rear are different. Front videos are on my channel. What year?
You are the best !!! Very nice videos detailed
My rear A/C makes a clicking noise upon start-up. When I change the orientation from face to face/feet the sounds goes away. What part could be the issue here? Thanks and great videos!

@@MrRangerZr1 hello just wondering what I should replace?no Cold air in the rear but still blows air . thanks for your advice.
@@julioicelo3448 Check your freon level, take it to a shop and they'll hook up a refrigerant machine to it.
@@MrRangerZr1 just checked the rear no air blows out
My front AC working fine, getting real cool air bur from rear Ac just air blow.. What could be wrong? And your video is excellent man..
Check freon level and fans operation
Wow!! All this just to show us how to do this. Honda should pay or sponsor you. I am having my motor making sound and seems to be working but no air coming in from the two back rows. What is the issue and what part should I buy?
check the blend motor actuator, common on these vans.
Nice video! My issue is there is no air blowing from the rear ceiling vents, but the rear floor vents work fine. Any idea what should be replaced? Maybe the Motor Assembly, Mode (79240-SHJ-A01)?
The blend motor actuator. All is listed in the description.
Honda names their parts differently. They call the ignition coil "coil, plug hole" no one will ever figure out what that means without a diagram lol
Before you spend 200 bucks on the actuator, try to fix it. The unit comes with electric grease, in my case this was shorting it causing the motor not to move. I cleaned it and and now is working again.
Here is a guy explaining : ruclips.net/video/3aYitN8lX_c/видео.html
My Odyssey when I set the heater just blow air and no heat on the rear vent, so what is the part responsable for make heat at the back. Is the resistor ?
Blend motor actuator. Resistor controls the blower motor.
2016 Honda odyssey rear motor making a clicking noise and rear heat is blowing out cold air and air isn’t as cold as it was before the clicking started. What part do I need to replace?
check the blend door actuator
Hi do you ahave video if the ac blowing hot air in the front driver side and leaking freon overtime
You have a leak somewhere. Put some dye into the system and check where it's leaking from.
Thanks for the video, can you tell me the year of the van in this video?
2010
@@MrRangerZr1 thanks!
2008 Odyssey. Replaced the rear actuator like you did and the transistor. Blower Motor was and is working. However the blend actuator still does not work? Any ideas?
Check the connections. Have someone control the floor/face vent mode on the climate control and watch if the arms move.
Can you please tell me why am I hearing the motor but no air coming down from in the back vets? What part do I need?
check the blend motor actuator, common on these vans.

blend motor actuator
Thank you!
We finally replaced the blend door actuator and it’s still making the noise and not blowing warm air in the back. What else could it be?
Hello how are you doing? I want to ask you a question, do you know where it is located the rear blend motor actuador for a 2011 Honda odyssey?
Geovani Barreno driver’s side of the van. You have to partially move the blower unit to access it.
I have a Honda Odyssey 2006. My rear ac turns on for 5 secs. Then goes off. What part is bad? What should I replace? Thanks
Could be the resistor or blower
Hello MrRangerZr1. Love your videos. I appreciate the work you have put into them for others. I am not getting power to my rear fan motor. Replaced the resistor, checked the 30 Amp fuse on passenger side fuse box, fan motor checks out good when supplied with 12 volts from a battery source. No power to the plug to rear fan motor. Any ideas? Many thanks
Did you use a OEM resistor? Any water leaks in that corner of the van? Roof leaks are common in these vans.
@@MrRangerZr1 I used the replacement sold at autozone so it was not OEM but was the more expensive one they offered. I have had a leaking issue but have not been able to determine the location of the leak
@@doyleredwine1683 definitely swap that crap out and never buy parts from auto parts stores
In the rear section, i can hear the ac only when its on defrost. But it wont blow through the vents on any setting. What part is needed for this?
Check the blend motor actuator.
Hello
When sitting at the last row , i hear a hissing sound coming from the blower area. My front aircon blows colder air as compared to the aircon on the middle and last row on my 2012 Odyssey on the same degree settings on the thermostat.
Would replacing these parts solve this ? What could be the cause of the hissing sound
The blend motor may be sticking, I would take the panels apart and check its operation.
When would something like this be required? I have the same van, front a/c works perfectly, but whenever I add the rear, after about 10 min, the whole car starts to blow warm air. Went to 2 mechanics, they couldn't figure it out. The front a/c actually blows cold enough by itself to cool the whole van, but I can only imagine the vehicle would cool faster if the rear worked properly.
Check the freon level by a shop and check fan operation. Could be your expansion valves, videos are on the channel.
@@MrRangerZr1 My mechanic just refilled the freon a few days ago. The fan blows. I'll check the expansion valves. Thank you!
Hey I just sat in the rear seat of my 09 odyssey exl and on my right where the two cupholders and a storage thingy is very hot when I touched it. I was listening to the radio and relaxing thats when I happened to put my hand and felt the heat. I took the key out of the ignition and it has cooled down. Is there something overheating or is that normal?
The coolant lines are right underneath the cup holders but the heat shouldn't radiate to the plastic, there is insulation. Check my rear expansion valve video, you'll see the a/c and coolant lines.
Hello sir how do you find out it’s bad my Honda Odyssey rear motor work but no air comes In back thank you
If you hear the fan blowing, then check your blend door actuator, it may be stuck on the foot setting or something.
@@MrRangerZr1 yes sir I fixed thank you for your help god bless you
Location of blend door actuator and foot setting?

I have only cold air at the back and when I set the heat at the back I do not have air at all!!! it looks that I have heat air close to the back door on passenger side but it does not go to the top vents!!! what would be the problem???

Is there a air filter in the rear?
No
My Odessey (2010) has AC blowing at bottom vents but not the tp vents? What is the problem? Thanks.

@@MrRangerZr1 I have problem removing the side panel (at 1:20 min of the video) to access the motor assembly. How to remove it? What year is your Odessey?

Hi, how do I reset the fan blow mode settings (computer reset or battery or fuse disconnect type reset) after installing the Blend motor actuator? Blend motor works on temperature settings for mixing air but responds too little or (sometimes) no response to the manual fan blowing modes after installation. Hence, even after blower is working on all speeds, airflow only comes from floor vents. Thanks!
Did you use a OEM actuator?
@@MrRangerZr1 no and I repaired it. However, I found that front vents (all 4) are controlled by the actuator arm located behind glove box. That's also faulty and I was able to unstuck it to face venting position and driving since! Problem was that both actuators went bad the same time or nearly so. I plan to repair that one also, very easy too. Thanks!
2016 Ody. I had a fan/compressor like noise from right rear cargo area. Air worked fine. The noise started when I started the car and lasted about 20 seconds. Then it went away until I started the car again. Honda quoted me $914 to replace the rear air mix motor. I had it replaced by my mechanic. It worked fine for about 2 weeks, now its worse, it will start up when I start the car, then stop and then start making noise again while I'm driving. I'm wondering if the new part could be bad. What else could it be???
Jerry Lindmeyer can you post a video of it?
@@MrRangerZr1 I don't have the panels off. My mechanic will have to do that. I can send a video showing the part he replaced and start the car so you can hear the noise.
Jerry Lindmeyer yes do that you can also send me on twitter too @MrRangerZr1
@@MrRangerZr1 2016 Odyssey se I have the same issues did you guys find a fix. Thanx in advance.
After replacing my blend motor actuator because it was making some ticking noise in the first few secs after starting the engine, then it went off. The issue is after replacing it, there's no more hot air blowing except cold air. What seems to be the issue?
Did you use an aftermarket part or OEM?
I ordered the original Honda part-Denso. Replaced exactly what you have, but it doesn't seem the hinges are not moving at all; the hinges I mean the white piece,. At it seems the hinge has problem linking to the piece on the vehicle. The hinge that came with part is not aligned to the attached part of the vehicle. Is it normal?
On the motor the hinge is not going to move without power, don't force it. The hinges on the car should move freely once you have the motor off.
Do they have to be oem parts?
Preferable yes

Hey that works lol
Your blower motor may need replacing soon.
hello, once again thanks for the excellent videos, I have this electric code: B1 222 permanent DTC (A short in the rear mode control motor circuit), any idea what part I have to replace? , Thank you
Is your A/C working?
everything works fine, the air conditioning in the front and back (2010 odyssey), I have seen this code only in summer when I use the a / c, last year I deleted it and I didn't see it any more because winter was coming, this year came out again and I could not erase it until with the foxwel nt510 I made a diagnosis of a / c and let me erase it, but I think it will come out again because it does not replace any parts, the only thing I noticed when it is very hot outside and the car stopped the air does not come out very cold, but once the suber of revolutions engine is very cold, do you want to have no relation?
Check the refrigerant level and check if both fans are running with the A/C on.
This won’t work for a 2016
Hello! Im experiencing an issue where my 2013 Honda Accord EX-L is blowing cool AC air on the driver and passenger vents, but the center two cents and the rear center vents are blowing warmer air. Not really an issue when the temp setting is at the lowest, but you can tell the difference still. I read through forums and all about the AC actuator might be the problem. But when I look at the actuator while the car is on and i switch air vent settings...it seems to be working fine.
The freon level is normal and not an issue. Someone told me a “flap” needs to be changed? Im kind of at a loss here. An tips would be great!
There are multiple actuators. Check all of them. Look through the glove box area and under steering wheel.
MrRangerZr1 thank you! Do you know which actuator on the 2013 model accord controls the center vents?
Looked at the shop manual, I think there are two motors behind the glove box and one on the driver's side, underneath the near column area. I would remove the glove box so you can see the motors, then switch the ac with the controls and watch the motor's arm to see if it stops, sticks, or doesn't do anything at all. It should move when commanded by the ac controls.
MrRangerZr1 much obliged!
2.25 what is the part name? please some one can tell me?
It's called the CPU assembly. Basically a control unit for the auto A/C.
