[NoLimits 2] Gigasaur/Kings Island - B&M Giga

- In my eyes, Kings Island is due for a giga coaster, as they are the only major seasonal Cedar Fair park that does not contain a giga in their coaster line up (Canada's Wonderland, Carowinds, Cedar Point, Kings Dominion. I believe there will no longer be Dinosaurs Alive! and the new coaster will be themed to dinosaurs. Gigasaur will be Kings Island's tallest attraction standing 323 ft and will be the fastest coaster at the park traveling 94 mph along 5,792 ft of track. It will contain the first of its kind non-inverting Dive Loop on a giga roller coaster and relentless airtime. Gigasaur, statistically, is right between Leviathan and Fury 325. Some elements include: "The Claw"- 199 ft tall heavy overbank, highspeed tunnel dive, 160 ft camelback hill, Jurassic Dive, Positive G Helix, Carousel. Again....all this is just in my head, but Enjoy!
Side Note: On my last coaster Vulcan, there seemed to be a lot of comments, about the speed decreasing. I do not thing that will be an issue this time.

It would fit in next to Firehawk and Flight of Fear. BTW, King's Island is my home park and a Giga coaster would be great! I think if King's Island got a launched RMC like Lightning Rod, a Giga, an Intamin Strata, and an Intamin Blitz the park would almost be finished!
The best thing is they could add all of that and still have room to spare
I like the concept but I really want KI to get a terrain Giga, especially if the first drop is greater than the actual height of the coaster. It's rare when you get a drop that's bigger than the actual height if the coaster unless it's terrain

really good, but the layout feels too similar to Diamondback to me, could keep some airtime hills, but i'd like to see a more twisted layout

Personally straight airtime hills always offer more ejector airtime than twists....look at how beautiful el toro is
There's something oddly nice about the way you shape your coasters. They tend to be a bit on the pumpy side, but the shaping in general replicates the manufacturer very well. Your B&M coasters and Desperado show this off best.

Love the Giga! Kings Island does need to have a Giga built soon but see one over 6,000 feet considering the parks history of building long coasters and Cedar Fair's efforts to keep a parks long history of tradition!
Tyson Weems why don't they build the longest steel coaster in the world. breaking steel dragon 2000's record. What would be cool is they would have the longest steel and longest wooden coasters in the world in the same park

Really nice design and fantastic name because that location of the ride is right next to dinasaurs alive that is a great addition and theme and a great coaster to add to the collection

I think they should also put some flat rides back there so that Gigasaur isn't the only ride back there also they could put a coca cola freestyle stand back there and some food options and some games and expand paths from xbase to there and they could theme the area to Dinosaurs and it will be easy to get to that area

kings island is my home park and this is one of the best concepts for a b&M giga at kings island and i would really love to see this layout or something simular be made at the park
I don't know why, but I usually look at other concepts, but when I go back to this one, I just fall in love with it! This is the most realistic concept imo. I would rather it be taller and faster than Fury 325 though. I love the area (they removed Dino's alive in 2017) Even though it doesn't look like that area will be used next year, I think something big will go in that area sometime between 2020-2022. At Coasterstock, Ki's GM Mike Koontz stated that he told the CF Management team that he wants to have a giga over the next 3-4 years. 2021 is my guess. It also takes a few years to plan a coaster so it makes sense he asked for it so that they could maybe start making official plans. I'm sure the park has had giga discussions in the higher ups before and they've probably talked about it, but this would be the time they start really thinking about the future. At coasterstock last year, Don Helbig joked around saying they are getting a giga for 2080 which convinces me they have talked about it since after that comment, he said "hang tight, it might be coming." So it looks like they have had discussions in the park, but Mike Koontz then decided to turn that over to CF to get their thoughts. Even though nothing is confirmed, I do take it as a promising sign that the future is bright for KI and the area. Although, I see both 2019 and 2020 being focused on thrilling and family flats to help round out the park. I'm not a big fan of the Gigasaur name, but wouldn't complain if a giga was announced and that was the name. Actually, if they did announce a giga named Gigasaur, I would heavily congratulate you.
Hawaiian Coasters 325 Thank You! I just named it Gigasaur due to the area that it currently sits on (old Dinos Alive). And I'm sure they've had conversations about a Giga.

I have a proposal for a B&M giga layout:
General Height: 330-335 feet
First Drop: 321-328 feet
Top speed: 95-98 mph
Major elements: Large diving turn around, Barrel turn, Stengel dive, bunny hop, Ampersand helix, double camelbacks, wrap-around helix, camelback hills, splashdown, final camelback.
The layout would begin with the first drop in the 320s range, dropping down and reaching it's top speed. It would climb up to the diving turn around, which would twist similar to barrel turn at first, but then twist underneath itself, in somewhat of the same direction as before, either slightly to the left, or right of it's entry direction. It would then enter a barrel turn, which would turn it further to either the left or right, possibly beyond 90 degrees of the direction of the lift hill. It would then enter a Stengel dive, lightly turning it in the opposite direction, before it flies over a Leviathan-Shambhala inspired bunny hop, producing a burst of ejector air, before it turns into the Ampersand Helix turnaround. It would then climb up into a rising S-bend Stengel dive mix, which aligns it to the return route. This would follow with two consecutive camelback hills, producing a good quantity of floater airtime. It would then reach the wrap around helix, which wraps around the base of the first drop, which is followed by two twisting camelback hills, one weaving underneath the lift hill to the right or left, the other in the opposite direction of the previous, lining up with the finale artificial(Shambhala style) or scoop(Diamondback style) splashdown elements, before a final camelback into the brakes.
I know a lot of people do t like the colors but I actually do I think they fit the coaster well!

I have a suggestion for you to work on soon if you are willing to. Can you make a concept design of a Premier Rides Launch Coaster called Apocalypse for Six Flags Great America, that could fit the plot of land that currently is taken by the 2 log flumes, Logger's Run and Yankee Clipper, and the Wilderness Theater behind it with the entrance to the ride in the Yukon Territory. It should be something somewhat similar to Full Throttle at Six Flags Magic Mountain, with a giant loop and 1 or 2 extra inversions. Single or multi launch is up to you, but preferably no backwards launch. Thanks so much if you do it!

Hey!! By the way, I absolutely LOVE this coaster!! But, I wanted to say that the colors aren't very Kings Island-Esq. The coaster is very B&M-like and would fit great in KI!! Also, the fact that they complimented your coaster is AMAZING!! You don't know hoe much I want to be in your shoes right now!! Anyways, kudos to you, as always!!
Hey! Thank you a lot for this comment. When I first started designing this ride. I had a vision of it being blue like Fury 325, but then it would look redundant, and the name would have been Strix 320. But, I thought about the location of this ride and figured that that theme would not fit. I've actually been wanting to use the name "Gigasaur" for a couple years now, but never really had the right motivation to use it until building this Giga. As for the colors, I was just testing out some different combinations. I was going to go with an orange track with brown supports (kind of like Thunderbird @Holiday World). Again, thanks a lot and I'm excited as to what the future holds for my home park, Kings Island.

Liked it a lot but the first turn after the drop should have been bigger and more drawn out. It’s too fast and jolty. Would have love to see like a 100 degree over banked and a steeper exit, so instead of banking out as much have the turn around more up top so it’s not banking so much when it’s leaving.
The passengers are slightly amused by the un-survivable G-forces

This is a great layout but I think the real one would be more like Fury 325. Just take out some airtime hills and replace them with Fury like turns! Make it more like Vulcan!

I created a coaster for kings island on rct3 unfortunately I don't know how to make videos but here are the stats
Name: Tyrannosaur 365
Height: 365 feet
Speed: 101MPH
Length: 6,355 feet
The only problem is the name I would speculate something like centurion 365

Personally, I'd make at least 330 or even 340 so it beats out Fury, and maybe slightly faster so at least 96 or 97 mph

GT4SGM that's likely what he meant. It could look like a coaster has an inversion but you could twist the track up and if you do correctly you will never be fully inverted

Phantom GD Cedar Fair doesn't work with Intamin because of the problems they have been having with Intamin.
