The Toyota Mega Cruiser is a Hummer H1 lookalike. Today I'm reviewing this 1996 Toyota Mega Cruiser BXD10 to explain what exactly it is and what makes it such a good off-roader. I'm going to show you the features of this Mega Cruiser, and then I'll drive the Mega Cruiser BXD10 and let you know what it's like on the road, and what the Mega Cruiser is like off-road.

It's the same engine used in the Toyota Landcruiser and coaster buses here in the Caribbean. Very slow acellaration but when they get going, it can go. Nice you featured the Engine break, cuz that's a real staple on the Coaster buses that are used for public transport. Awesome review though, as I only recently heard about these Trucks from Doug's channel. Toyota really a global vehicle manufacturer.
Wrong. 15BF nor 15BFTE never came in ANY Land Cruiser . Coaster comes with 1HZ at least the model that comes where I live (Caribbean).
@@enterBJ40 it was a proto LC , never got in production ( wished it was into a 80 series esp portal axles and a 4WS, but not coaster engine
No Land Cruiser uses 15BFTE. This military vehicle does. Eventually MEGACRUISER used 15BFTE
I've known about these for years and been waiting for them to be imported i to America. Im a huge jdm fan and not if the typical skyline and supra. I like wierd stuff like the Nissan March and kei cars. Reason I drive what I drive. And in the future will be importing a jdm version.
Check for Nissan Pao. Will fit your car as wierd and is a Kei car. Really nice retro design.

A company in California is importing them. Look on internet..there's a video in RUclips somewhere about the importer.
The japanese are small people, the middle seat is adequate for 2 of them

This vehicle is NOT a Megacruser. It is a vehicle exclusively for the Japan Self-Defense Forces(JSDF) and is called a "High Mobility Vehicle(高機動車、Koukidousha )."
Your ownership of this vehicle is in violation of Japanese law. The JSDF have instructed a dismantling company to scrap this vehicle. The JSDF does not permit the vehicle to be used for civilian purposes.
The dismantler exported the vehicle without scrapping it, in violation of its contract with the JSDF.
Looks like a Jerry can on wheels.

Because is cheaper. This is a lot more advanced technically than a H1.
@@enterBJ40 aside 4WS, its not. engine is truck/bus. definitely easier to source than a H1 ( better swap engin e in a H1)
This vehicle has ALL the features that distinguish an H1 with less weight and better turning radius. So is more technically advanced
H1 engine is from 80 chevy trucks. Is the 6.2 V8 . Same as CUCV. So get your facts straight before posting no sense
