You have to repaste it more often and it will hold. it will be a problem in the long term if it's used in a place with high humidity. solder will oxidates because it's heated to 100c.
All good so far. I stopped using it as the workflow on my new 7950X3D PC is quicker. But it performed well for the last couple of months, even with the thermal throttling. I also found that repasting it improved temps slightly, but still hits 100C..

regarding Red Dead 2 at 720p: The main reason it is so pixelated is the lack of TAA in low settings. Try 720p, high textures with TAA and you basically get a movie-like experience. I would recommend to anyone trying 720p high settings, you would be surprised how good the picture looks, though blurry of course
Intel wants us to belive that 100c is normal but i feel very uncorfortable with any cpu passing 85 to 92c. Intel fix it. Put liquid metal in there or something.
Kryzzp should benchmark Warhammer Vermintide 2. Its a pretty Gpu and VERY Cpu intensive game from what I know of, and it would be nice to see it on the channel for future benchmarking videos.
Nice video, but i dont see the point of using mini pc and egpu setup since both of these combined almost have the same size to mini itx pc, egpu make more sense for laptops and handhelds device like rog ally, gpd, etc, in my opinion
Cost issues aside (sone will say you can build an XXX pc with a XXX GPU which’ll be waaay better for gaming 🤦♀🤦🙈….. well derrr!) but this mini PCs are designed for compactness and usually attached to the rear of a monitor in offices / library PCs etc. The performance on offer here means you can do some business work and gaming in the side for older titles and new e-esports games as well. You could undervolt that I9 since stock voltages are pretty high, that would reduce tempreture and you can keep the same clock speed. I did it with my ryzen 5 1600 AF and my temps plummeted. My cpu boost clock was 3.5GHz and default voltage was at 1.13700v so I kept the 3.5GHz and put my voltage at 1.11875v and now my cpu was at 55w 55-62 degrees on 25 degrees celcius room tempreture and after undervolting my cpu now runs at max 44w and 43-47 degrees celcius at the same room tempreture(that is on 100% cpu usage). By they way I love undervolting my cpu and gpu and cap my fps in rivia statistic tuner to get lower power draw and temps.
I have recently purchased a Geekom mini IT 11 i7 and decided to try testing it to process an identical video file and compare it with the time taken on my 2 year old i5 tower with dedicated Nvidia GTX 1050 ti graphics card. (no I am not a gamer, but the tower does have one of the top i5 processors in it for the time). The Mini Geekom destroyed the tower, processing the file in just 45 secs vs 1 minute 15 from the tower PC. I highly recommend these mini PCs and this will be the last tower, from now on it will be minis all the way.
iI bought one a couple of days ago, and it constanbtlky crashes and tries to repair its self, taking sometimes hours (if your lucky) to do so. Basically all you get is a black screen. . I have lost over £700 on this. Its a disaster. I can't recommend it at all.

you need a powerful encoder like NVENC that is with a dedicated GPU. You can with the CPU on x264 but with NVENC its got higher Bitrate that is higher quality.

Well how much could u expect from a iGpu ? Its still performs well. For it can run old titles in 1080p smoothly. Xbox360 era games and few tweaks , might run PS4 era games to like till 2016-18 kind of games.
I recently reviewed the 7840HS on a Beelink mini PC, the integrated radeon 780M was capable of 50 fps at 1080p Native, low settings in cyberpunk. Huge difference compared to Xe graphics! Given they've had Xe since 10th generation on Intel CPUs, I expected an improvement, but no, it's been the same.
Driving around that same area by V's apartment isn't such a great benchmark now, Dogtown in Phantom Liberty is the most demanding part of the game both CPU and GPU-wise (especially when driving), and vehicle combat in general tanks my FPS no matter where. Can't wait to see if FSR 3 frame generation makes any big difference there but I'll probably be done with the game long before it's out.
I think they should utilize space which reserved for 2.5 drive more visely to improve temperatures , for example they can fit decent piece of copper with fan on it so it can handle even more than 35w , it would be much more useful than drive ... cmon , u can use external drive in 2023...
Geekom caps the power it pulls from the BIOS, and that reduces the performance potential. If the power draw cap is removed, it gets too hot for that mini-PC's size. The Geekom IT 13 with i7 13700H CPU doesn't have the same power draw cap, so it actually performs better.
@AFIQOBBY Intel CPU is fine for the most part, and had better single core performance. Only until the Ryzen 7000s series has AMD surpassed Intel on a CPU & iGPU level. Single and multi-core performance. AMD has been far better for iGPU for years.

One day all high-end PCs will be like this. It will probably not happen in my lifetime, but I long for the day when performance doesn't matter anymore, we've maxed out what we can feed our nervous systems and all that matters is size, power efficiency and the nature of the experience i.t.o. story etc.
I'll use this for editing for a few months, curious to see how the 100C temps affect it.
