    Needs a reprint and can’t come quick enough. Prices will keep pumping until it comes and new players/collectors will eventually be priced out.

    They announced already that SoR will be reprinted. What's the point of this video?

    Anything less than a full and comprehensive reprint of Spark of Rebellion would be insane. I know the statement didn't express that intent directly, but it's absolutely going to just be a normal reprint. My read on the statement was that they don't have, or want to share planned numbers, hence the "It will be reprinted in some way" style statement.
    Unless there's been a statement directly exclaiming their dedication to "collectors" there's no reason to expect an altered reprint.

    Unfortunately, this doesn't depend on desire, but rather on production imperatives.
    Remember that 6 months ago, 1000 of us were talking about the game and impatiently waiting for it. Gamers weren't talking about it (which seems to be your case, if I'm not mistaken - I couldn't find a video about the game until March), and stores didn't want it. The hype grew as the release arrived, and gamers invested massively in the game at that point.
    It's important to keep in mind that, at the time of production, FFG had to make a choice to ensure that production was in line with public expectations and stock levels, so as not to end up with too much product.
    And you know what? it exceeded expectations. So much the better, let's enjoy the game, there are dozens of opportunities to play.
    As for the future, no one knows what's going to happen, but once again, production schedules are planned well in advance, and there aren't many factories that can make a quality TCG.
    It's hard to imagine that FFG won't do their utmost to get as many products as possible after the success of Set 1... but it won't depend solely on their good will.

    A sizable reprint will mean longevity.
    A mediocre reprint makes me look at other games.

    Isn't the point of unlimited that they reprint to relative demand for a few years?

      Yes this is the whole point of naming it Unlimited as they have said

    Not saying it couldn’t happen but I just don’t see the incentive for FFG to make the reprint inferior. The other games that did this kind of thing already preplanned the product split so they could increase FOMO for the first edition. FFG has already sold all their boxes without that carrot stick, so at least in my opinion it makes no sense to cut showcases or hyperfoils when that will help them sell more of the reprint boxes.

    Yeah, the reprint of spark of rebellion need to be the same as the first run in my opignon... if they do something fishy like a white border...I'll be very pissed... But so far, I'm very impressed with people running this game and for now, I trust that they will do the right thing... can't wait for set 2 and the reprints :)

    They should reprint it without the hyperspace foil. Showcase should be non-foil. Reward the people who buy the original print amidst the negativity surrounding FFG. When everyone else are doubting, the early buyers still supported and believed in them.

    yes.. as so many dident get enough or even any cards.

  • @michaelc6817
    @michaelc6817 9 месяцев назад

    The only thing they should do different with a "reprint" of the first set is possibly identify on the boxes and cards that they are the "reprint" version. All other aspects, such as showcase, hyperspace, foils, etc. should remain the same. I suppose there is the possibility that they would fix errata and/or adjust "broken" cards.

    I haven t watched the video yet and will but this is really an idiotic question coming from you when you HAVE to know that it is called Star Wars UNLIMITED because they said the sets would be printed to oblivion to keep booster boxes prices low and provide constant availability to LGSes. So why are you asking the question? I hope the video answers that otherwise...this is clikbait

      @@dlvalhalla9255 What do you think Unlimited means? This is how they managed to get large booster boxes at $100 MSRP on launch because distros and stores thought this would be printed a lot a demand would come. That set had the highest number or boosters and cards for a BB

    Please for the love of everything do NOT do the "first edition" + "unlimited" edition model. That crap is awful. Make the reprints EXACTLY the same.

      @@taptorwa nothing. People just are haters and don’t want collectors to be happy too. First wave should be for collectors. Second wave they can print lots and be for players and have a difference.

  • @le_med
    @le_med 9 месяцев назад

    As a collector I have to get all 4 versions of each cards and that means more than 1000 cards for that first set. If they don t reprint it to oblivion like they said before release I ll sell all my cards and not bother buying anything from this company forever as they are as incompetent as they lie.

    It will not hurt the game with a reprint. The pullrate on this one is so hard and the Showcases will in the long turn hold value, also some hyperspace foil versions.
    It is smart now to let Lg:s have a storage of packs for tournaments etc.
    This will be a good game and looking forward to the new mechanics and The Mandalorian.
    Hope they do a Set later on the Acolyte.
    Nice Clickbait dude! 😁

    As a person who loves to collect, I will lose interest if the reprint tanks values and populations of rare cards go way up - if that happens then I’m good on buying more. I want this game to be expensive like sorcery for set 1. Set two they can print it to the ground. Or do an unlimited version. Don’t reprint set 1 with the same box art. Make the cards the same but print 2nd wave on the boxes. And print some damn cards without print lines please FantasyFlight, that’s the main goal of the reprint for me personally. Don’t worry - make set 2 good and leave set 1 alone. ❤

      I like Sorcery better, they don’t have 4 different versions of the same card. Makes keeping track of the market value harder and what cards can you choose to play and what store into a binder, it’s a mess.
