It's Andy's favourite day of the year - Goose Fair 2017 in Nottingham. You'd normally expect someone with autism to hate all of the loud noises, bright lights and crowds of people (and he does hate all of those things anywhere else!) but as this vlog shows, he's never happier than when he's at Goose Fair!

What a fun great night! It was nice to see Andy get on a couple rides. There was a lot going on there and tons of people. You did a good job filming. :)

I think you should take Andy to the space centre in Leicester as there’s load of buttons to press and things to do
He went there a few years ago and really enjoyed it. We'll go back at some point.
I think I'd discretely give up my seat ( like I stood up for another reason )so that he wouldn't make the connection between his behaviour and me standing up. In that case he'd hopefully not be distressed but also not think I'd moved for him. As a psychology student I hope I haven't got this drastically wrong

You should share with us some of the footage that Andy gets on his dS.
+Rebecca Jane he always deletes it before he goes to sleep! We’ve been trying for months to get him to start using an iPhone or GoPro to record with so it’s easier for me to get the footage, but he insists on using his DS and then deleting it!
Would he let you plug it in to the computer to download it for him??
Explain that he can watch it forever.

+TheTangerine One I was vlogging before he started to appear on it, so it was a very gradual introduction. It was something he saw me doing so it was normal for him when we started to include him too. I certainly think he’d miss being able to watch his days on RUclips afterwards, although he doesn’t do it anywhere near as often as used to

I absolutely hate goose fair. I live like 15 minuets away and I only been once. Because I’m very claustrophobic.Just the cheap food and the little space sickens me.😂

lollujo Vlogs suppose I just see it as common decency to move for Children, elderly or disabled.
I agree with you, I'd like to think I'd have given up my seat, but I've had a similar situation on a train before and the kid's mum made it pretty clear that me giving up my seat was the least thing she wanted. I'm not sure why but obviously there was more to the situation than I knew so I didn't question it
+MrWillyMrBrightside it’s all about social training. If he learns that be screaming and shouting people will get up so he can sit down, then he’ll scream and shout even more next time.

I think with that he has a fixation on fairs and everything he hates goes out the window. Im not sure though. With my autism i hate loud noises and crowds but im completely fine in a airport and flying a plane (Real plane, Ikarus C42 G-DASS) and i think its because i love aviation too bits. I am currently in the process of getting my pilots licence and nothing is getting in my way but if it was something i wasn't interested in things would get in my way. I dont know if its that though. I try to help as best as i can. Great videos just to say. I helps me understand autism more and helps me understand that im not the only one.

Aside from caravan holidays (as long as the park has an entertainment complex), fairgrounds and amusement parks make me happy and excited. I visit any fair that has a Miami, and I even keep a record of all the different ones I've been on since it's my favourite ride type. I was on a ride and it broke and i was inside and the person who controlled the ride ran away it was a moment were i laugh in a serious moment
