Ordered Dreme D9 and Roborock S4 max and tested. Dreame D9 is going back. D9 was $239 +tax and S4 max was 279 + tax. Tested both at highest setting to map 720 sq. feet of coverage. D9 was loud, not so much from the suction but rather from lidar. The noise was loud enough where I thought something was loose. S4 max had no noise from lidar at all. S4 max took 60 mins to clean 720 sq. of space and D9 took about the same. S4 max used 40% of battery and D9 used 60% of battery to finish the job. (regular run after mapping) D9 got somewhat stuck under the refrigerator and a furniture as it was persistent to dig under as S4 max did not have any issue. After the run, D9 had decent amount of hair rapped around the brush where S4 max had zero hair on the brush.(both units have identical brush as both are from Xiaomi) . App for both unit was easy to setup. Although D9 had a mopping capability, it wasn't effective at all just like any other models with the feature. it just drags a wet cloth as it runs.
Hello Alex, I'm using a similar model the Xiaomi, it looks the same including the parts. These robot cleaners are really worth buying, they save us time and keep the house floors clean. Thanks for the review of the Dreame D9

Despite having a saved map, this robot hits walls and obstructions every time. Is there any setting or way to get rid of this problem? I appreciate any help you can provide.

Hey, I would get a Dreame vacuum. They have been making vacuums for a long time. I personally use a Dreame vacuum as well

No...the only "solution" would be getting one that has obstacle avoidance...sadly they are still too expensive
