There was 1:33 on the clock at the time of the interception.
Even if the Bucs called their last time out after the first kneel down (let's say with 1:30 or 90 seconds left), the Lions still have 40 seconds to run off between plays.
2nd down, they take a few seconds off the clock before kneeling. The ball is reset and the whistle starts for the 3rd down snap. 87 seconds left, ball snapped at 47 seconds with a couple more seconds taken off before kneeling. Ball handed to refs, is respotted and the whistle blows for 4th down - under 40 seconds left. Everybody shakes hands.
The reason it looked like so much time was left is that, after snap one, they realised Tampa wasn't calling the time out and there were 14 or more seconds left when they snapped the ball.
They game was over unless a bad snap happened. Not calling the time out was simply good sportsmanship. Period.
    No "conspiracy".

My opinion of Baker Mayfield improved and I liked him already. Not only did the dude play his ass off, he showed so much class. His praising the coaching, players and fans of Detroit, taking a selfie immediately after the game with the guy that he was (sorta) beefing with online, hearing the respect Dan Campbell has for him......I really hope that guy is in the league for a long time. What a fantastic opponent he was.

They haven't won enough or long enough to be considered bullies. They haven't won a championship since 1957. The fact that most of the country is probably rooting for them is partially out of sympathy over their extremely long exercise in futility. Seeing them finally turn things around and playing exciting football has deservedly gotten a lot of people's attention.

My humble take is this: I understand you play to win the game, but these coaches coach in a shared universe: they know each other, worked together, come from the same tree, etc. the lions took the first kneeling and Bowles didn’t call a timeout, the subtext in that moment is that Bowles knew the game is mathematically over and instead of wasting 30 seconds of everyone’s life by calling a timeout he chose to let the game end, he knew the game was mathematically over and took the loss professionally and as a man… if he takes the timeout after the second kneel or later, yes he can get the ball back, but then he’s a snake, a rat, a coward for resorting to those tactics just to get the ball back (and still likely lose). He chose to respect the moment and knew his team lost

So let's say Jamaal wanted and was looking for 10 mil right??.. he was getting like 5 mil in Detroit his previous contract.. Holmes said something like "ok we can do you like 7.5.." well because he waited so long Holmes pulled the trigger on Monty.. then that left Jamaal in no man's land and desperate for a team and at the end of the day signed for the same amount Holmes was gonna give him anyways.. lol🤷 🤦‍♂️.. he got greedy..
Detroit figured "yea you had a nice record breaking season but most of your TDs was like from the 5 yard line or less, shii we can easily find another back to to that but better!" ..

Look at the score, 23-31. It's statistically improbable for the Bucs to win that. Force a 4th down field goal, assume the Lions make it and it's stystically impossible to win. Assume the Lions miss it, the Bucs then need to go downfield with 36 seconds on the clock and with no timeouts, score a TD AND convert a 2 point conversation, just to TIE the game. And then most likely lose in OT anyways. Now for what really would've happened. Bucs call a timeout forcing 4th down. What the Lions would do is snap the ball and run all the way back to their own endzone burning as much time off the clock as they can and take an intentional safety. Bucs get 2 points, Lions kick the ball off and force the Bucs to go downfield with at most 20 seconds left on the clock and zero timeouts. They're not doing that against Detroits defense. If he didn't quit on the team, he conceited the win because he knew it was absolutely pointless to even try and possibly risk injury to any his players.
