    Not sure if someone already mentioned this, but for the last question you can use special right triangles as a faster alternative to the Pythagorean Theorem. Since both AC and BC must be equal by definition of a circle (both sides are the radius; therefore, they are equal), it means we are dealing with a 45-45-90 triangle. Once we figure out that one side = sqrt 103, we can just multiply by sqrt 2, which gives us sqrt 206.

    These questions are actually so easy once you explain them, they just sound complicated and difficult. Thank you for going over these and helping us to understand these questions. When I see these types of questions I feel so stupid (and tbf maybe I am bc I can't understand what the question wants by myself) but when you go over them it makes me feel a tad bit better

    For the first problem just enter a table into desmos with two points: (27,-72), and (-9,0) which you get from the fact that f(x)=(x+3)*g(x) and the table given. Then just use regression by typing y1~m*x1+b and the answer b=36 will show up in your parameters. Much easier, much faster, and much less risk making a calculation error by hand.

    @surya.kasibhatla 2 месяца назад +3

    First one can be done by doing a regression (give the table to desmos and enter y1 ~ (mx1+b)/(x+3)). It gives you values for m & b which = f(x) & you can test x values. though plugging in -27 gives 2.4, other 2 x values give the exact y value. This method is way faster. And then check manually if you have time. You can thank me later☺

  • @PrakashPrakash-vm4mv
    @PrakashPrakash-vm4mv 9 месяцев назад +7

    For the last problem, notice that, relative positions of points A,B,C do not change if origin of the coordinate system is changed. So, we can shift the origin of the coordinate system to (0, 0). So, C=(0, 0) is the center and A=(1, sqrt(102) ). Since OA =radius = r, we have AB = hypotenuse, which can be easily found using Pythagoras.

    dont use algebra for first question use desmos saves you time
    use the table function to recreate the table they gave you, and write down the questions in desmos but you replace g(x) with y1, the = sign with ~, and all the x's with x1. replace f(x) with the slope intercept formula y=mx+b. desmos will solve and give you m and b and it will only take you like 30 seconds. since it is a linear equation your y-int is the b value which desmos gave you
