    I love this video, thank you so much! I made one and the size came out 2-3T..I used the same size yarn and crochet hook, I don't' crochet tight or loose (I'm in between). So I don't' know what happened..I still love it and going to get Girl Leggings to match. Thank you for the video.

      Eileen Decowskiviens I’m about half way through this and yeah mine is easily big enough of a 12-18month or bigger haha no idea how when all the stitches are correct, used standard Dk and a 5.5hook doesn’t really matter tho still looks good

    I am using this as a guide. I am using number 3 yarn aka DK in the UK. I'm planning to crochet the yoke of a cardigan and knit the body and sleeves. Using the same number of stitches as you in this video with a 4.5mm crochet hook, it's the perfect size for a Newborn. Using DK to make this a 0-3 months, I would use a 5mm hook. Thank you for this tutorial x

    Very easy to follow except the sizing was a little misleading. The title says 0-3 months but the description says 5.5 mm. If you use 5.5 mm your sweater will be for 6-12 months. The pattern says to use a 4.5 mm hook for 0-3 months. just a heads up!

      Crochet For Baby tension. Everyone has a different tension. Providing a gauge swatch measurement is helpful so that anyone who wants they’re project to come out the right size can match your gauge.

      Hi! Thank you for your support 🤗 that’s just how I learned to crochet and after many comments telling me it was wrong I learned the “right way”. In my opinion the old way makes for a tidier stitch which is often used in amigurumi. Just dc however way you know how and the end result is the same. I hope this helps 😊

      Akanksha Bhaje I suggest getting a 5t shirt at a thrift store or even bigger and taking measurements from
      That for the sweater.

    Can i use a 3 mm hook to make the same size. ? And how many foundation chain ?

    • @CrochetForBaby
      @CrochetForBaby  6 лет назад

      Will you be using baby yarn #3? If you do you can chain 55. If you use thinner than 3-ply yarn the size will be different.

      Just use a slightly bigger hook. If you read the comments some say it’s bigger than 0-3M because the tension might be a little more loose than mine. I hope this helps 😊

    I have a question, I used 4 (medium weight yarn) and a 5.5 mm hook just like the video instructs... mine came out closer to fitting a 1 year old, I haven’t measured it yet.... has anyone else had this issue ??

    • @mariasavini5939
      @mariasavini5939 5 лет назад

      Yes, mine was much bigger also! I used acrylic yarn however which is a hefty 4, it looks like she's using mercerized cotton, which is barely a 4, almost 3...mine is for a teddy bear so it shouldn't matter : )

    I have total of 136sts,do i divide by 4 equally or how many sts do i keep for sleeves

    • @CrochetForBaby
      @CrochetForBaby  6 лет назад +3

      No. You divide by 3. You’re going to chain 3, this counts as 1 dc, make 22 dc, skip 22 dc for first arm, make 46 dc, skip 22 dc, make 23 dc and join to beginning with slip stitch. Under the arms do the same number of chains as mine when you’re diving the arms. Hope this helps.
