I feel like on another team he could average around 14-20 if a team needed him to. He said in an interview he scores and is more agressive when a team needs him to be (which I've seen him do) hes originally a scorer but when you're on a team like the heat with several other offensive options he just tries to drop dimes (which is still good). Hes smart and mature and i personally think he could be a more contributing factor to some other team.
Bendjo Kahmaur I've noticed. And I agree, I feel like all this time on the bench isn't good for him. He barely got any exposure to the game yet as a pro. Plus, I thought he was going to end up being the starter until dragic came along. He was killin it in the Pre-Season. This is no way to treat a 2 time champion. Hes ready to do damage.
I really like his game. He reminds me of Mark Jackson. Just a smooth pure point guard with speed, quickness, moves and fluidity. If he can stay healthy and improve his outside jumper he can be a full-fledged starting point guard in the league for 8-10 years.
I've always admired this kids game since his days at Uconn, but I don't believe he is in the league anymore, but it doesn't really matter anyway, because he made his money anyways.
Smooth step-back. Great court vision. He plays like CP3 but as of now he's faster than him. I think he should be the backup PG in front of Chalmers. Cause Chalmers just loves to have turnovers and have many fouls. I hope spoelstra realizes that.
At 23 as a rookie, I see when he slows down the game and takes what the defense gives him, he plays like a veteran and scores and passes efficiently. As with any rookie he can take it to the hole, but I think once he learns to be a floor general like Paul, he won't even have to drive the lane to score. He has a lot of potential. I hope he's working on that mid range and defense as well as bulking up. Learning from Dragic will be good for him now, but as others pointed out his game is very similar to Paul, and I hope he's watching a lot of Clippers film.
Some naysayers keep saying that Napier won't be able to progress in the NBA cause his too small, look isiah thomas, he's about 4 to 5 inches taller than him, except that Napier is smaller and turned the ball over too damn much, that's the only problem i have with him, but other than that, he's gone be fine next year in my opinion, #goheat
Andy Miller don't you watch basketball now, you fucking pinhead, he plays for the Celtics non-basketball mind, you fucking stupid nigga, go watch some more basketball, before you come on here talking shit out your fucking mind...
I don't know why people think Shabazz will never amount to anything. His step back is filthy. There are plenty of starting PGs in the NBA can't make space like that. That kid is easily one of the top 5 guards UConn has ever had (and bear in mind that Kemba, Rip Hamilton and Ray Allen were UConn guards).
People hated on Napier for his rookie season. Yeah he didn't put up good numbers and his assist-TO ratio was terrible but you can clearly see the potential is there. I can't wait to see how he does in his second year, learning from Dragic.
When he comes back and works harder to improve he'll be better than dragic. He can shoot and pass. He's gonna be a star if heat give him time to improve.
Gotta love highlight reels cause you would think this rookie went on to have a great long career if you just saw this video 😂 He would unironically be the best PG on the Heat’s roster right now though
This is my first to watch this vid of NApier ..and wow. Don't hate me for this comment ..i can see curry.kemba.rondo. i just want to say what i noticed on him .too bad the Heat traded him
I don't get how a dude can lead his team to the NCAA national championship, win the title and get chosen 24th in the draft while bouncing around team to team. I hope he finds his place.
Napier is a good, crafty young Guard. If Miami gives him the opportunity, he WILL exceed what everybody thinks he is. He will be an amazing PG that could ride the bench and come in and score 13-15 a game with maybe a couple of assists. Give Napier time to mature.
I think the heat can actually be title contenders next season. Beacuase if shabazz can stay like this with these nice highlights they have a good of. Second, if d wade can stay healthy and be consistent, you have a good shooting guard. And third you just drafted Stanley Johnson who can stay healthy and is a great small forward. And then Chris Bosh who is returning from blood clot In his lungs, you have a great PF. And then you Hassan Whiteside at center who came alive as a starter for the heat.
Yep and just like that almost every single person patting him on the back now hate him and are going to come out and say he sucks. This kid was horrible last season. He showed some skill at times, especially when playing against guys that have to play in the pre-season. Anyway this isn't really his highlights, I actually think this might be every single play he made during the regular and pre-season. He could be a decent pro but he needs a TON of work. He's way too sloppy and he needs to stick to his strengths instead of jacking up bad shots.
Charles S You're just a hater. First you say he could be a great player, then you say hes horrible and needs a TON of work.I think you're just pissed the Heat traded away their first round selection after just one year, because they dont have Lebron James's talent on the team.
Hope it works out for Shabazz in Orlando. Even though he may have turned out to be a bad investment for Miami after they even paid money to give him away for nothing to Orlando, the Miami Heat are still winners in this situation when you consider they gave up nothing to get Hassan Whiteside, Justine Winlsow, and Josh Richardson. The Heat made the right decision.
4 minutes and 52 seconds into Shabazz Napier 2015 Season Highlights and chill and he gives you this look
Smooth skillset. Nice lethal step back.
he took step back lessons from kemba
+ThànH GB (Bộ Xương Di Động) chill
I love the way he plays in this video. Fast and got real nice handles
This is a player that the heat could use
I feel like on another team he could average around 14-20 if a team needed him to. Yeah i could def see him averaging 17-22...minutes
plays just like steve nash with his rhythm, flow , and his indirect approach to the rim followed by smart shooting and ridiculous vision
This young man have game superstar in the making.
Sucks he got injured. Give him some time to mature and I think he'll be a really good piece.
***** where did you hear that? There haven't been any rumors about him being on the trade block
Marcel West-Bailey He's 24 already
He was traded bro
I really like his game. He reminds me of Mark Jackson. Just a smooth pure point guard with speed, quickness, moves and fluidity. If he can stay healthy and improve his outside jumper he can be a full-fledged starting point guard in the league for 8-10 years.
My boy Shabazz MVP

He said plays like him not he is cp3
I agree. He has skills but CP3 like, is getting a bit carried away.. CP3 is an elite player. Shabazz got sent back to D League several times
At 23 as a rookie, I see when he slows down the game and takes what the defense gives him, he plays like a veteran and scores and passes efficiently. Napier has that special touch an intelligent pointguard has. too bad he was injured though. we'll get it next year
Welcome to Portland
Some naysayers keep saying that Napier won't be able to progress in the NBA cause his too small, look isiah thomas, he's about 4 to 5 inches taller than him, except that Napier is smaller and turned the ball over too damn much, that's the only problem i have with him, but other than that, he's gone be fine next year in my opinion, #goheat
Gerwich Saint-Hilaire I don't know how the fuck you can compare Isiah Thomas, one of the 50 greatest players of ALL TIME, to Shabazz Napier.
Andy Miller don't you watch basketball now, you fucking pinhead, he plays for the Celtics non-basketball mind, you fucking stupid nigga, go watch some more basketball, before you come on here talking shit out your fucking mind...
Shabazz Got game he crafty to be small jus like Cp3 he like 5'10 jus like Napier He gon be good when he get it all down
And point B?
Huhh
Great pg in Shabazz, good player to watch and help out my game and iq on the floor.
This guy need to be starting somewhere
Shabazz is an absolute beast. He slipped in the draft and was a steal for the Heat. I think he will be a good STARTING point guard someday.
Mad Respect
He'll learn from a top 3 point guard now
He helped uconn. (My favorite collage)
I don't know why people think Shabazz will never amount to anything. His step back is filthy. There are plenty of starting PGs in the NBA can't make space like that. +Sayros never happened. I wonder what will happen with him? Overseas, playing euroleague?
+Ninjak signed with Portland I'm honestly happy for him
I see rookie/sophomore Steph Curry. He just needs to be consistent.
i loved that 2015 team ngl
He has so much potential in the NBA...stupid move by the heat to trade him away. Best of luck to shabazz in Orlando
D Will got caught in the spin cycle lol
Wouldn't be surprised if Shabazz has Williams ankles hanging over his fireplace
Dude had talent reminds me of Kemba and curry
SHA-BOOM
watch this on twitter got to save this to have something new in the bag
When he comes back and works harder to improve he'll be better than dragic. He can shoot and pass. He's gonna be a star if heat give him time to improve.
Ur right that's why i want miami heat the keep him !
Lmao delusional Heat fans. Better than Goran are u on crack? This video should have been 1 minute long
We traded him for a 2nd
Gotta love highlight reels cause you would think this rookie went on to have a great long career if you just saw this video 😂
He would unironically be the best PG on the Heat’s roster right now though
Wow bro this guy fell hard dam
How did this team not make playoffs?
That is a great question...they are definitely a playoff team next year with the addition of Justis Winslow...
To much injuries
Karitta Warren Especially in the weaker Eastern Conference. The Heat should be rising next season.
We had a lot of injuries
David Farmer Because Bosh was out for the season thats why
He got Kemba blueprint with a little bit of his own flavor sprinkled in
This is my first to watch this vid of NApier ..and wow.
He is undersized and fairly inefficient, admittedly he hasn't had a real chance, he has shown flashes but little else.
Him and Winslow! That's nice
Do you do college players?
Napier is a good, crafty young Guard. If Miami gives him the opportunity, he WILL exceed what everybody thinks he is. He will be an amazing PG that could ride the bench and come in and score 13-15 a game with maybe a couple of assists. Give Napier time to mature.
Lol amazing riiight
Re upload the Arron Afflalo video from Orlando
prettiest step back in the nba
I love that ! 😂😂😂 Sha-Boom ! 😂😂
Oh it's so lit we got this dude for nothing
Just like Harkless, Olshey keeps finding young talent and steal them from Orlando haha #RipCity
I'm still mad the heat didn't let charlotte get him in the draft
I think the heat can actually be title contenders next season. Beacuase if shabazz can stay like this with these nice highlights they have a good of. monaf ahmed We got Justise Winslow not Johnson
Oh yeah I was thinking of espns mock draft but still justice can be a great small forward
ha, yo... @ 0:50 - the way the commentator says his name...
At 0:00 after the dribble moves cris Anderson missed the shot
Welcome to Orlando!!!
The heat are stupid for trading this guy. Magic looking like they have a really strong core group now
How are we stupid for trading him? TJ was still better and Richardson played good
Monta ellis please sir
He shouldve start at PG before Dragic came smh but he's going to have a nice come back next year with Justise Winslow can't wait
A promise young piece for the Magic, not sure he is trade to Magic yet.
Yea
welcome to the magics my boy 😈
Pretty good passer for a rookie. I'll take him as a 3rd string PG any day. Good insurance for Payton and Watson.
Give him some time to polish and perfect... and I promise you, he will be the next cp3
welcome to magic boii
Going to Orlando
Wow, he was worth more than a 2nd rd pick. Magic got a steal.
I Wanna see James Ennis
Step back game vicious
i forgot he played with chris bosh
I wish he didn't leave. :'(
Welcome to the magic
Welcome to the Orlando Magic Bazz!
SHHHHHHAAAAAAABOOOOM
I think if Jameer Nelson can survive in the NBA Shabazz shoudl be able to.
Still wondering why the heat traded him
Injuries

Welcome to Orlando Shabazz.

We better not trade him
Welcome to the Orlando Magic!!!
His game looks like Brandon Roy a little bit
next Steph Curry :) I hope the Heat will keep him :)
Nah
Good bench player but man this take was cold
SHABOOM, SHABOOM, SHABOOM!!
how can they not re-sign this guy and take chalmers instead?
He needs to go to the hornets and team with kemba walker
Reminds me of dj Augustin
Finally an ACTUAL realistic comparison
Lebron drafted shabazz from one tweet
WHY woul you trade him...smh
He wasn't all that
1:41- 1:46- Shabazz is a baby kaboomer... And the other rooks
shaboom
So this the heat ain't trip
he kinda remidns me of a more modern Jason Williams
So the Heat traded him for a top 55 protected draft pick. o.O
Hope it works out for Shabazz in Orlando.
