Anyways, good for y'all out there - while in my country, Hungary, in the schools, teachers and kids are not allowed even to talk about or just to mention such questions of life, and I can't even imagine how many kids suffer with the problems of similar gender self-identity that seriously conflicts their biological body - and/or from their "unusual" sexual orientation, which is a tabu, too -, and how they can manage their lives, being left completely alone with that kind of incredibly stressing - and, in the end, literally depressing - problems; and how many of those teens who have committed (successful) suicide had been struggled with such stuff before that, finally, caused their dark decisions and, in fact, the tragic loss of the future of the entire "wise" society that, a month ago, has just prolonged the legitimation of the selfish political power that openly uses the Christian churches as its ideological base - actually, they go hand in hand and do everything for their own sake -, and so, morally and mentally, Hungary stands now just like hundreds of years ago... Lately, a Hungarian "father" told me that he would rather kill his son if he would turn out being gay or trans - so, this is where we are now... But okay, this is not the page of complaints; thank you very much indeed for sharing this moving masterpiece.

This is a good PSA type episode but not all trans persons are suicidal. Ironically if this remains the major narrative the general public will not take action unless they hear the "trigger word" 'suicide.'

When I was very young watching this episode I used to be one of those bigoted *homophobic* religious guy but as a I got older and leaned more about my religion, rewatching this I sympathise more with him *and anyone else going through the same experience as him* now. It must be super hard going through gender dysphoria *which I think that’s what he’s going through* and wanting to be another gender because it kills him he’s in the wrong body.

I am from Nigeria and over here people hate stuffs like that but I do not have issues with Gay and lesbians or bisexuals.... I just can't accept transgender woman or man. You should be the way God created you. If my male child wishes to be a female, I will disown him at that moment and nothing will change my mind.

But you just said that one simple choice would make you not respect the fact that god gave you a child. I think that is easily far worse than a person who cannot change the gender they feel themselves to be. It's sad to think that you would use a love of god as an excuse to stop showing love to a human. Especially a child that God gave you. Science has shown that there is more to physical sex than the chromosomes we thought. Psychology has shown that there is more to gender than physical sex. But being a parent is as simple as that. There may be a misunderstanding of what gender is and "how god made" a child. But there is no misunderstanding about throwing out the gift that god gave you because you were unwilling to accept it. If "nothing will change you mind" that also excludes god changing your mind. in which case you have no right to claim god as an excuse for your prejudice, anymore than you have a right to consider yourself a parent when a simple mental condition could cause you to turn on your own child. I'm glad that my parents believed me when I told them that I was trans and that I felt like it was part of how god made me. I am glad that they overcame their qualms in order to be there for me. because I nearly killed myself trying to change for them. I nearly died and even I coulnd't figure out why at first because I didnt know what being trans was. don't worry, Kenneth. with a parent like you, a trans child wouldn't survive, and you will never have to go to the trouble of disowning them.
Your child regardless of whatever you decide will grow up become independent and make their own decisions. Also in Nigeria gays are killed still. Your false equivalence is nonsensical but if that is how you decide to live it's your life
