    I have way more expensive watches than the gshock 5610 but there are some days I can't wear anything but that it's just such a no nonsense watch

    Why don't you see if you could fit a combo bracelet. The screen is not plastic, it is glass. The Edifice bracelets are jangley shit. I had two and put them on good aftermarket rubber straps. The 6900 is great but sadly you chose the wrong one :) Just teasing. I have 181.

    • @WatchWatch-ck6xl
      @WatchWatch-ck6xl  Месяц назад

      Hahhah yeah, I would expect the bracelets to be bad… and I knew that negative display casios are not the most legible, but just didn’t know how bad it was 😂 have you tried the Oceanus as well? I am super interested in that line…. P.s. the glass is acrylic - which is a plastic in my mind - it is way to easy to scratch if you try it on purpose… tried on the 6900 😂

    I bought the negative display DW5600 a couple of years ago. Yes it’s a tad hard to read, but I bought it purely because of the red backlight!🤤 I re cased it in a Casio polished stainless steel case & bracelet. It’s called my TERMINATOR!😈😎🤣

      😳😳😳 where did you get the case??? Now I want my terminator, too 😂

    There are different G-Shock or even Casio has something unique (features) to offer.
    I had G-Shocks with triple sensors, regardless ana-digi or fully digital display.
    In the past months, I come to discover and appreciate others that fit into my lifestyle.
    You may try G-Shock GD350. Large 'square' for your large wrist. Large easy to read displays. 5s super bright light not interrupted by pressing any button (perfect to use features in total darkness).
    Killer features: vibration alram, mode changes, countdown timer.
    I call it the 'operator ' watch. 😅
    Happy weekend.

      That one sounds really good… and looks good! I think I will give a go to the Operator watch 😂 thanks!!!

    Nailed it with this review. This exact 5600 is the one you have to have.
    You start at this model, you may get others after this if you wish
    Or you can stop at this one and rock it forever

      Thank you, Hombre!!! I wonder if there is really someone who stops and never gets another model 😁

    I've had so many watches throughout the years, got bored of them and their look sooner or later. The 5610 is something else. Have one for nearly 3 years and I still can't get bored of it even thought I wear it every single day.

      It somehow comes to me in waves to be honest- I have a period of time when I wouldn’t take it of my wrist and then I don’t feel it at all… but I don’t think I can ever get rid off it… its just something else compared to anything else I’ve got

    I own a Gshock square radio-controlled solar with the option for a day/month display and I think it’s a truly great, iconic, immensely practical and really good looking watch. So I agree wholeheartedly with this episode and wish Karel all the best. Držím palce, přeju úspěch v anglofonní sféře a těším se na další videa.

    👍👍Being old I had a DW5000-C in the mid 80s and I am now rocking a W217H as I watch this on a Vario leather strap -- it's square enough for me, has big digits (as I said, I'm old) and is an Illuminator. It's the only Casio I own and I'm fine with that.

    I know this is completely unrelated to this video, but I have a potential suggestion for another video.
    You are Czech, right? I was in Prague in early 2023 and stumbled upon this store that sold vintage cold war era watches, predominately a Czech brand called Prim. As intrigued as I was I knew so little about the brand, the quality and the fair price of these watches, I did not pull the trigger. But Ive been intrigued ever since.

    • @WatchWatch-ck6xl
      @WatchWatch-ck6xl  Месяц назад +1

      I actually own one Vintage Prim from 1956… the history is pretty “interesting” as everything that came to life in in deep communism 😂 I had to pull the trigger on one as yes, indeed I am Czech, and I just had to… they actually still produce watches- there two brands called Prim ( copyright issues after communism fell) one producing pretty overpriced Invicta like designs with Chinese movements, the other is actually more interesting and something you could call independent brand, having some inhouse movements and pretty interesting models - pulling designs from their old catalogue… still pretty pricey though

    I believe the Casio Fw91 is as tough as any G Shock. I've been wearing one every day for 2 years now and the thing is immensely strong. I just don't know how you could break it and if you did, you're arm would be the same texture as porridge.

    • @WatchWatch-ck6xl
      @WatchWatch-ck6xl  Месяц назад

      😂I’d rather not try that… Have you tried swimming or diving with it? I saw videos people taking pretty damn deep, but I never dared myself…

    • @FalseTeeth-o4y
      @FalseTeeth-o4y Месяц назад

      @@WatchWatch-ck6xl I don't go swimming but I've seen videos of people who do and their F91w is fine. There are videos of people putting them in glasses of water, freezing them and then thawing them out and the watch works perfectly. The other thing is the F91w is so slim you just don't catch it on anything and being less prone to being hit is the best defence against damage. I like G Shocks but I think marketing their toughness is what sells them. For a fraction of the price an F91w is just as robust. I accidentally dropped mine onto a concrete patio from an upstairs window and nothing happened. Not even a scratch. You'd have to place one on a hard surface and hit it with a hammer to damage it. The things are marvels of engineering.

    It’s has been a while.. great to have you back 🤙🏻.
    I own 4 G Shocks, all tough solar and BT. Them and my DW260 are my go to work watches.
    You’re right about the fit of the straps- I have the same exact problem, and my wrist is 7.25 inches..

      ❤️thank you, hombre!!! Good to be back indeed! Is it even possible to own just one? 😂
      And that fit? Its weird - its almost like casio does it on purpose 😂 talked to a few friends and all have the same problem- they should make the holes closer to each other 🤷‍♂️

    Picked this one after speaking with you separately on another video, after learning that you use it for workout. It's been great since and I just love how accurate it is. I use it as a point of reference for all my mechanical watches to measure accuracy because of the atomic time syncing.

      ❤️ glad you are happy with it!For me, it is an Icon, when you say G-shock I see the square… and I use it completely the same - to set and measure my mechanical watches 😁
