    So much valuable information provided by both doctors. My cardiologist didn't see me just prescribed medication after Echo. Amazing doctors here saving lives.

    Thank you to both of these Drs : I have been encouraged by your information and I’m feeling less “a victim” and more of “a survivor’ …..attitude makes a huge difference no mater what our limitations are ! Again, thank you and God bless !

    They also didn't mention a bad heart attack can cost you muscle. In my case about 25%. So they tell me I now have congestive heart failure. EF in the 33% range. Low salt and expensive meds and exercise.. I was holding my own for ten years. When EF would get into the 20's I'd ask to do three months of rehab. All was good until doctors took me off pain meds for back. Now I can no longer exercise. I am now slowly slipping away. I am really pissed off at the medical profession that is now trying to just kill me off. I feel helpless.

      Have you switched doctors? Look at getting an interventionalist cardiologist. They have more training than a cardiologist

    I have congestive heart failure for 6 months now. Major problems breathing if I don’t take my Lasix. But I can only take 10 mg a day even on potassium 2 tabs and magnesium 2 tabs daily I’m still cramping.

  • @boraborabob1
    @boraborabob1 2 года назад +4

    Your missing the big question. Do the diet and exercise thing. At what rate does it goes it get worse. Or can you stop deterioration by lack of salt, diet and exercise. How long do you have?

    • @lucario2188
      @lucario2188 2 года назад +1

      Some people less than a year, half of people with heart failure will live 5 years and 30% 10 years some lucky people have been able to live 20 years, but keep in mind that appart from taking medication lots of them had to go to surgeries. And no it will never stop deteriorating, but you can try to slow the progression by doing th diet and exercise thing. Maybe in another 20 years would there be a cure, like right now there is ongoing research into stem cells and how to make the heart regenarate itselft, but keep in mind that after that they need to figure out how to introduce the thing that could regenerate your heart into your heart, i hope you could get it through a injection but more it is more likely they would do a surgery. Another thing is that the only solution is a heart transplant, but even then that isn't a cure since it reduces your life span.

    I see this is 10 yrs ago. But my failure has been diagnosed a month ago. I just shocked to know I can never have ant pizza again. I barely eat a thing and weigh everyday, but talk about no pizza……….sheer pain! I have cut out the salt and weigh at the same time.
    Exercise, I can’t get all the way to the mailbox. But boy I take my meds on time!!!
    I’m so discouraged, my PT only comes twice a week. We just seem to not get anywhere.
    To stop your pills because they are a different color!! Oy vey!
    There are times I truly wonder. But yes, of course I have bad nerves! Who in the hell wouldn’t?????
    LEAVE IT TO MEN FACING DEATH TO WORRY ABOUT ERECTILE DISFUNCTION, give me a break!!!! This is simply beyond anything I can think of right now! Of all the things………a stiffy???. WHEN YOU ARE GOING TO DIE.?? Sweet mother of heaven!
