Where are you going to take your TREAD?
Thanks for the video and great hint on rotating the bracket around!
Thanks a bunch. Hope it helps.
I really really appreciated this video! Based upon it I was able to copy the readjusting of the compressor orientation and mount it to the plate in about an hour and another 30 minutes to get it installed under the hood. The only thing that was different in my 2011 JK Rubicon was that I didn't need to relocate the horn (it wasn't there). I wouldn't have had the peace-of-mind to do it myself without this video. I still need to wire it in and so I'll be looking for your next video to follow those steps. Thank you again for making the effort - it really helped me to do it myself!
Just finished installing same air compressor in my 15 jku. I installed mine in back cargo area over drivers side wheel well. Installed a pillar gauge pod up front and can monitor pressure from drivers seat. Wired control into the apollointech 8 switch controller. I mounted the compressor to angle iron with flat stock and bolted it to hardtop bolts next to window. I totally love how it came out. I didn't go the route of the under the hood. Reviews of people who had troubles with their compressors had under hood. I suspect underhood heat or bad air is hard on the compressor. Make sure and keep us updated to how it works long term please.
I can see that, It gets really tight under the hood. Sounds like your setup is a really good fit. We don't air down too often but when we do we are generally down for a few days. Not much asphalt out west of us. So far it's been running really well. We will keep you posted for sure.
Thanks guys! I used your video as an install guide and extra peace of mind in wiring. I wired it through my switch bank and it works fine. Thanks again.
Your very welcome so glad it helped.
Hi Chris, just want to let you know I installed my ARB air compressor today,. Same one, same way you installed your. Can't tell you enough how helpfull your video was.Your right real tight fit. The hardest part was relocating the horn on the EVO mount, couldnt get my fingers under there to hold the nut. I used M6 for my ignition switch works fine. For some reason my switch dosen't light up.May be I'm using the wrong fuse spot. (m20) interior lights. I'll look and see if I could tap in somewhere else. Just thougt I'd share. Thanks again :)
SWEET, yeah we attached it to the source control system. I think the system is on m7 but I can check.
That made a nice clean look in a tight location. Way to go Bubba
Thanks brother. What a tight fit it was. WOW!
Nice job Chris. Space is always a premier under the hood. 😎
Thanks brother. It was a tight fit for sure. It's going to be nice having it on hand and not having to make a pit stop to air up ha.
Sweet! Pretty straightforward install!
Thanks a bunch brother!
Great Video Chris! Very detailed and informative!
Thanks a bunch Todd. Hope you are doing well sir!
Thank you for the informative installation video, extremely helpful.
Thanks Rick, hope it helps
@@BubbasgarageTv it absolutely did. Once I did a tight fit, I then went back and loosened the EVO bracket mounting points for ease of running my split loom and zip ties behind the compressor.
Two things I did to make for a clean installation, I removed the front and rear locker plugs and wires, by carefully using an exacto knife to cut and peel away the bundles tape. Once the tape was removed I got ride of the extra ground wires, re-crimped with heat shrink. I also ran the ARB’s rely to horn’s old location, the stud and nut made for a perfect fit.
Watching your video took the guess work out of the basic install, giving me the time and energy to work on the little details. Thanks again.
Sweet, so glad it helped :)
You hook it up to the battery like it says and then the two wires that go to their switch run it straight to your ox beam or whatever you go
Bingo!
Nice job Chris! I don't think you're going to be able to put much more under that hood! I like that it matches the color of your Jeep :)
haha didn't even think about the the color match, so neat. Oh I know right its getting really crowded fast. Hope I don't come up with something else that needs to be under their.
Hi Chris, Great video. I have a 2014 Jeep Rubicon, I'm getting ready to install the same arb air compressor next weekend so I've been watching your video this past week. I have the same evo mount so I'm setting it up the same way. The only thing is I don't have an s pod so I'm going to use the switch that it came with, going to mount it on a bracket under the hood. I'm still tring to figure out the two wires that tap into the fuse box for power and lights to the switch. not sure which fuses to tape into, I do have those fuse taps. Thank you, appreciate any help.
Hey thanks, depending on if you want the switch to come on with or with out a key check one of our apollo intech videos there is a fuse I want to say it's the m7 fuse but don't hold me to that. We use that for the main switch to the switch pod.
@@BubbasgarageTv Thank you Chris for the Fast response yeah I was looking at the fuse box sometimes it’s confusing but I saw a video it says long as you stay away from main fuses like airbags ABS anything critical for your system I think I will try that M7 thank you so much
Absolutely, Keep us posted how it goes for sure.
I really like the size of it, clean install for sure. I was wondering any updates on the 4runner
Thanks a bunch y'all. It was a tight fit. Well Shelby kinda decided to move on and spend more time focus on her art so we ended up donating the 4 runner back to its original owner.
Load up. I’ll be in Big Bend ranch state park on the 27th&28th. Then in Big Bend National Park on March 1st-4th. Christmas Mountain trail on March 3rd.
SWEET! we might cross paths ha. Headed North. Looking to plan a trip out west this winter after Texas Expo :) Hope you all are doing well. What a crazy last few weeks.
Nice video.. are you happy with the compressor so far?
Thanks, been really happy with it. Easy to get to and does what it needs to you know. :)
