    Excellent ideas for a mental/physical warm up to efficient air and tension-free fingers, all around the horn! Creative and helpful - thanks!

    New sub here. Glad to see a new way to explore a classic in a useful way. I’ll be adding this to my routine. Thanks!

    I have been doing things like this recently. I also do a lot of soft to loud and vice versa. Herbert says soft and so I do. But the loud and soft is a winner. Nice vid, you get the sub Simon, and thanks.

      Hey! Thanks for the sub. Much appreciated. The thing about Clarke #1 is that it is so versatile. I'm currenrtly refining my double tonguing with it. BTW Next video dropping this weekend!! 🎺

      I bl**dy love Clarke #1. That, along with Adam long tones and a few Schlossbergs helped rebuild my embouchure after getting smacked in the mouth in 2019

      @@TrumpetTNT Yes I do the Schlossberg as well but mostly Clarke 1 this last week. You sound great Simon.

    Nice Simon. As a horn player of course I’d like to know what horn you’re playing - looks nice 😊

      Hi Ian.Thanks for watching! It's an Eclipse Enigma with a nickel Celeste leadpipe, designed and built my Leigh McKinney. It has a 'large red' bell and is brushed, laquered with polished accents. www.eclipseinstruments.com

      @ISuperTed Год назад +2

      @@TrumpetTNTThought so! (I play an older Enigma - great horn). Looks quite different with the Nick leadpipe and bracing. Been thinking about getting a new one and would probably go large red. Only problem is I know the lead times on Eclipse horns are huge now and particularly the lacquering time.
