Can you please test Citlali with Arlecchino? I find Arlecchino needs a shielder, so I am using Zhongli right now, but figured Citlali could be a improvement in damage while still giving me a shield. (with Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City)
@@NandatozZ I'm going for Arlecchino because no telling when she gets a re-run. Mavuika, being an Archon, will get a re-run in 4 patches if Genshin sticks to the pattern they use.
I kind of like how you can pull on Chronicled without it ruining any potential Guarantee or even Capturing Radiance for your limited banners, but It using the fate point system does feel very bad. Now, I already have guarantee saved up since not many characters has been in high demand for me since Furina's rerun. But a lot of people have difficulty saving due to the "Building pity" mentality.

Chronicle would be worth it if there was no 50/50. Like just, 80 pulls and you get what you want and you are done... either that or keep for multiple updates.
I was taking a break during the previous chronicled, and till today that's how I thought it worked. Was thinking about going for a guaranteed jade cutter for my first ever weapon wish, only to find out you can still lose, so that's a no.
@@imashadow699but there is a chance you could lose to Keqing or Qiqi. The fact that the guarantee doesn’t carry over is a huge con to this banner unless you already saved up for a guarantee

Genshin Impact has enough characters now that they should be doing a Chronicled Banner every patch, putting in the older/less popular characters in it. Then we would have to wait a year or more for characters to get a rerun (like Shenhe).
Xilonen and Chasca were definitely the best in a general sense, though. They are the only Natlan characters that are fantastic in most teams regardless of what characters you have
I think you've consumed too much content that overrate these characters lol. They're good, yeah, but Neuvilette came out a whole year ago and nothing dps wise has come close to him. Xiangling and Bennet still remain unmatched as well and they're 1.0 units

Started playing in 3.1 with the plans of getting Xiao, in 3.4 so I didn't pull for her on Wanderer's release because I was saving and I think I didn't get a single copy until the Free Faruzan we got, and then dished out way too many pulls on wanderer's next banner and Xianyun
Venti is still the most powerful Archon in the game. Any time he can SUCC, he completely trivializes content. The only reason he's perceived as not good is because they specifically design Spiral Abyss chambers so he cannot SUCC. And they have to do that because of how powerful he is.
@@RaynmanPlays this is so true, I got venti early on (his first rerun) in 1.4, and he legit trivialised the game without any artifact sets, he would kill everything before my DPSes could do anything, now hes just there for floor 9/10 if I haven't done it
I almost want to wish on Chronicled just to see who I could lose to, because the concept of losing a 50 to another limited seems lowkey fun. But I'd feel so bad for the people who actually end up still losing to Qiqi 💀
the fact that they added Qiqi AND keqing, shows how shitty of company hoyo is.. you already OFTEN lose 50/50 to those 2 specially for people who played from the start, they probably already have them C4 or even C6 in some cases. But yea, not that i expected anything less scam from hoyo.

Not to mention there are plenty of people who want Keqing who have never gotten her, just like the last chronicled it gave people the opportunity to pull for specific standards that they wanted or were missing should the chose to. And they should be allowed the opportunity no matter now Niche. There are even people who want Qiqi believe it or not. So no, it’s not reply shitty of them at all.

@@WastedTalent83first of all have you even seen the monstad chronicle wish and second yeah they have qiqi and kequing there for the players who haven't still goten them and both of them are pretty good kequing on dendro teams and qiqi who has become pretty good with furina and other healer teams people slept on them on lot but don't know how good they are and if u don't get the character u charted there's another chance for get a good character like u charted for child and instead getting him u lose the fifty fifty to either xiao or ganyu or even decent and good supports like shenhe and baizhu. In short form I am trying to say this is Better than the monstad one by a lot and yeah it's a liyue banner so they are gonna have them do u think qiqi monstad

I mean... It's called chronicled wish right? not liyue chronicled wish. Ofc there is a pattern and it is supposed to be lantern rite banner, but no special rules there. If there was a rule it would be a banner for niche characters devs don't want to make normal rerun for. Childe was the main character in liyue story tho so it could be banner for character associated with liyue
Lets now hope that chronicle is not a one time per year deal. Every big event for Monstadt Liyue and Inazuma and even Sumeru, put their respective banner.
I also wish that there was a free 4 star pull for each major region event, with that region's four stars. Like Lantern rite, but also for the other nations.
14:49 isn't that the point of chronicled wish though, to group the characters that are a skip for most peiple into 1 banner just so their fans get something
It's not great for them though if you think about it. Pity isn't shared between that and normal banners and if you run out of wishes, your pity could be in limbo for literally years.

They f-ed up the chronicled wish. I don't know why Keqing and Qiqi are there when you can get them from the 5 star selector or lose 50/50 to them, they should've replaced them with Yelan and Hu Tao

2:19 As far as I remember the usual reward for Lantern Rite was always 13 pulls (10 Login, 3 via mail), so they actually give us 50% more wishes than the previous years

i saved 300 pulls, and i have shen he C1.. i know if i don't make C6 now, i will never do it. Thing is.. 5 copies with 300 pull is basically impossible unless i get aLL 50/50 right
I literally don't understand what people are talking about???? This is fantastic If you want any of these characters, you have the opportunity to lose the 50/50 to other limited characters on the banner, so it's quite literally just a strictly better banner. You can wish for Shenhe and get a Ganyu, or a Baizhu and get a Xiao. It's a fantastic opportunity to flesh out your account, and potentially get even more new limited characters or constellations at the same time.
As soon as I saw Shenhe, my pulling plans changed completely. I was gonna try to aim for Zhongli or Citlali after getting Neuvillette, but now I'm saving everything for her.
As a new player, I pulled Xianyun when she came out, then later managed to get C6 Farazun, and even pulled Xiao's weapon when I lost on a weapon banner, so the chance to get Xiao himself has got me excited, even if he is an older character - I don't have Furina, but whatever. Add in Lan Yan as the free 4-star, and it's looking like my Christmas will be spent in Liyue!
I also have Xianyun, C6 Faruzan, and Xiao! (No sig weapon tho😔). I don’t have Furina either but that Xiao team + any character for the scenario has served me very well!
You are in good hands really. Xianyun, Faruzan C6 help Xiao Be a Cracked Unit. Despite not having Furina you can have the 4th slop be a Flexible slot in for another Off Field character.
I am SO getting Shenhe!!! We will definitely be getting more Cryo characters in Snezhnaya and I bet there will be more characters who would like her as a support!
Same here! I'm fine with Xiao, Keqing cons, Childe, and Ganyu. Shenhe and Baizhu are neutral for me, and Qiqi is useless, but it's not like my luck will be that bad... right?
How dare they change the Chronicled Wish rules on me when I have an Archon, a mood, and a four-star all in this patch. I have been waiting for Shenhe since getting her outfit _last_ Lantern Rite, having passed her up on her -last- rerun for Ayaya. Here's hoping I ca get Childe, or even Xiao, if I must lose the Shenhe chase.
New Archon's have always rerun exactly 4 patches after their initial release, you can very safely skip her and know exactly when she's back. Oftentimes they've had significantly better 4stars on their second banner as well, so that's an additional insensitive to wait 4 banners. I'd go for Shenhe if you want her, the Chronicle Wish is a perfect opportunity to flesh your account considering the potential to lose 50/50 to other limited units instead of standard characters.
yeah, I agree with the other person. The Archon is the most skippable character on debut if you want to maximize your account enjoyment long term. Skipping Nahida's debut meant I had the wishes to get Polar Star on the only great banner it's been on(shared with Kagura's Verity). Skipping Furina meant I got Wriothesley and Navia. Ultimately, your primos, your account. The FOMO does kind of suck. But I'd 100% do it again because waiting meant I guaranteed both.
5:10 For all the people wondering, mavuika's flying/surfing/climbing modes have time limit restrictions of 5/5/3s respectively. So even if she has nightsoul or phlogiston bar she won't continuously do those. She is a great char to swap to in natlan but outside is quite awkward 🫤
like all natlan char, except maybe for Kinich, they are trash outside natlan for moving around compared to when in natlan. hoyo is just a scam company at this point

Clorinde and Arlecchino have very high anti-interupt and resist/defense when bond of life is active, which makes them my pick to onfield, not to mention the self-healing. I also like Clorinde's rushdown style of play and Arlecchino's cleave.
16:08 totally agree on that. I feel hoyo knows these are "low-worth" characters and that's why they even have a seperate banner, so making the pity even 10 lower would be fair. I mean this is basically the "throwing the trash out" banner, so why not throw the trash out at a discount.
Non of these beside Qiqi are even trash in the first place, outdated and powercrept, sure. But not outright terrible. Mondstadt's Chronicled was bad because all three limited in those banners has legit issues in their kits. The problem with this banner is really how infrequent it is. It's a perfect banner for filler patches and to alleviate the rerun issue, but Hoyo love FOMO so...
I...actually think every character on this banner is really good for f2p characters. Even Keqing and Qiqi. They all help your account. It's just a matter of personal preference. But all of them are usable. Like, I personally hate using Keqing, but I can't lie and say that she's not a bad character for Hyperbloom teams (I have no other good Electro characters unless Sethos counts). This is a very good banner for people with fewer characters (new players, casual players, old players with absolutely terrible luck, etc.)
Chronicled wish only even exists to run out of meta or unpopular units, I don't know why people are shocked that the units on it are mostly not strong.
I was suspecting as much. When they did a Hu Tao banner i thought "they will also not put Yelan into chronicled" and they did not. Those two weapons are hella good and both characters are great. There is no profit for Hoyo to put them into chronicled. And hoyo is all about profit.
I disagree on your Baizhu recommendation. It seems to me you think every player goes for the same 2 meta teams. Everyone plays Neuvillette or Arlechino to care about synergy with them specifically. Xilonen doesn’t work at all with Dendro, Cryo or Anemo teams. So Baizhu still has a use case worthy enough of wanting to pull for him. His much more comfortable to use than 4 star replacements. I think Shenhe is a good pull because we soon will enter the Cryo region and who knows when she will re run again. The other characters on the banner aren’t that great in my opinion. (Xiao is fine) I also think Baizhu’s constellation are strong because it removes his high energy recharge needs. And the second one makes it so you have infinite duration of Dendro application even without switching to him. I play Dendro and Anemo teams and completely skipped Xilonen as she does nothing for my account. Maybe most players do care for her because everyone plays Neuvillette
Fr! Even with meta characters he is a really good support for any non-burning dendro team. Interuption resis, decent application that doesn't need to be reapplied every wave (Nahida >_>), healing so he works with Furnina, and he also buff dendro reactions for the on-fielder
Totally. Baizhu is dentro, is not dps, and is not played on field, so I don't get the comparison at all. Is like he's trying to sell xilonen at all cost
Baizhu (C0) will stay in my Neuvillette team, no matter what, I do have Xilonen (C0) and tried replacing Baizhu with her, it was worse (probably because I didn't get Xilonen cons) and now Xilonen is collecting dust in my roster. Xilonen was a pulling mistake (for me) since she is seeing no use at all. I can do all content without using her. I don't understand why Jello is trying to sell her so much, it's getting incredibly annoying.
Tbh whether people say these characters are horrible or not. I am always a subscriber to the idea of if its fun for you pull. Even if they dont add anything to your account (statistically/meta) you can still have fun. I love Furina's NA, so i run prototype rancour on her even in Abyss , Theater and other content. I am hoping if we ever get another free 5☆ that i can choose Eula, Big Sword hit hardd
as a reccomandation if you feel like using furina on field you can try using Candace to give furina hydro infusion I do that sometimes but my Candace isn't invested enough
I never give a damn about the meta anyways. If I like their personality and look I'm pulling. And besides I always pull for Archons. People whining about Mavuika having a bike, but it's perfectly ok to have a flying pillow?
Yeah, it's a fantastic opportunity for anyone who wants any featured character! Now you might get additional limited characters if you lose 50/50, and that is hardly a loss in my opinion! While wishing for Shenhe you could lose 50/50 and get Ganyu, how fantastic would that be! Or any other featured character! I'll be going for Xiao and Baizhu myself, and definitely curious how my pulls will go! I'm someone who would NEVER pull for constellations, but this is an opportunity to get constellations for Childe/Ganyu/Shenhe while going for Xiao and Baizhu!

If I do end up pulling her she's gonna be exclusively off field which is tradgic cause I love her design and especially hair. For me, the chronicle banner is a saving grace, I've been waiting for Ganyu eversince I started playing Genshitt, now I can finally pull her. I can save upto 200 pulls before her banner so it's pretty much guaranteed.❤
You only need a max of 180 pulls for a 100% gaurantee, and you need to be pretty unlucky to need that many even. I'm in the same boat though, I've wanted ganyu for years and missed every single rerun cause I didn't understand how the pity system worked back then as a noob, but now I barely have any primos after pulling c2 nahida not realising ganyu was right around the corner. The pain of being lowspend/f2p

5:19 I agree. All other Archons' elemental skill/burst are related to their characters or nations, and yet Mavuika just pulls out a motorcycle that has nothing to do with Natlan or Teyvat.
The chronicled wish banner should remain a permanent banner until the next regional banner reset. Unless paired with premium characters, most of the characters on the chronicled wish are not meta, so it would be reasonable to make the banners permanent.
The difference there is she’s actually using a shamisen in universe. The electric guitar angle always felt like non diegetic music for style. The motorbike is just a motorbike. I don’t get why people are defending it. It clashes with everything we know about the world and especially natlan. The fact we got a motorbike before a horse is just ridiculous and it creates plot holes (if we have that technology why werent the couriers using them to deliver messages and why were we forced to use a slow ass balloon to reinforce) and if your answer is it’s just a power Mavuika has then that makes her look like an asshole for not using her power for something less frivolous. The electric guitar is a fun style choice, not a walking plot hole
@@GravenAshes Because it ain't that deep. The actual lore is that Xilonen can engineer these random phlogiston powered things that a few playable characters have, the bike is just one of them but for whatever reason people don't like how it looks I guess.
@@GravenAshes It’s likely not mass producible due to very few people actually having the skill set to create constructs of this nature. It’s been made clear you have to have VERY extensive knowledge to forge ancient names or constructs utilizing Phlogiston. Both Chascas gun and the bike were custom made by Xilonen herself, so trying to create enough for a whole army when you’re the only one who can do it is pretty unrealistic.
@ then why didn’t she make them for the war effort to spare needless deaths? You see how its mere existence begs more questions? Even then, if the motorbike is too hard to mass produce she clearly has the means to create electrical devices using a combustion engine which also could have solved the communication issues that were a major plot point in 5.1. Also we were previously told Fontaine was the most advanced civilization in the world so they are actively contradicting their own lore. It’s one thing to put steampunk technology in a fantasy setting but modern coded technology has a lot of baggage surrounding it so if you drop it into the world with no prior explanation people are going to have questions. Personally I’m more irritated at the lack of explanation for the pixel dragon
This is why I prefer genshin so much more than HSR. Yes none of the Chronicled wish units are OMG AMAZING TOP TIER. But EVERY SINGLE ONE is still good and has a place.
@ In physical clorinde and as a double hydro driver with furina. OBVIOUSLY not the best but the fact that it still clears is honestly impressive. (Even in this abyss, the Monster wants constant attacks which double hydro with qiqi does so)

The other thing that killed the Chronicle Wish banner is why pair it with a new Archon banner? If this had been a 5.4 or 5.2 option I might have tried going for some constellation's. Like if it was an off hype patch, I would even considering spending a bit, but on a stacked Archon banner, if I decide to spend it will go into the weapon or secondary Character banner.
Weirdly enough... I'm more excited to pull on the Chronicled than Mauvika since multiple characters in it I wouldn't mind getting. That said, yeah. It does kind of feel like they are intentionally setting this banner up for failure with it's placement.
I'm tempted to pull on Chronicled. I'd love a constellation for Tartaglia, Xiao, or Baizhu. I don't pull for female characters (when I FINALLY get Wriothesley and have all the men in the game, perhaps, but that will apparently be 5 years from now when we get a chronicled wish for Fontaine). I'll have to decide if it's worth it and if I have enough pulls. I love the concept of chronicled wish, because I love being able to get a unit I would never pull for but would benefit from having (like Shenhe or Ganyu). I just need to be sure there's not any sneaky boy characters upcoming before I go in for it.
@liana5671 I'm beginning to think we won't get Wrio until Fontaine's chronicled wish banner, sigh. I'm definitely gonna think about pulling for either Tartaglia or Xiao's C1 though. Both are so good for QoL.

@@artis-ry4hp Dude that's incredible for you! If you have c6 money then instead of getting 7 Tartaglia and up to 7 random standard units, you will get up to 7 other limited units! You could end up with C6 Xiao AND C6 Tartaglia for the same price of 1 C6 Tartaglia. Chronicled Wish isn't as good if you spend less than 90-180 pulls, but if you're already ready for multiple constellations it's directly better.

Why is no one talking about how mavuika is useless without other 5 star natlan characters? If you only like mavuika but not interested in others or dont have them she cant even use her ult.
i wouldn’t say she’s USELESS depending on the dps you use. if your dps uses normal attacks you can slowly charge her burst, yea it may take two rotations, but it doesn’t make her too useless just.. a bit annoying. she’s a bit more useful in the abyss only in the first chamber, as you immediately get all your bursts including hers.. but she’s still definitely limited.
I got Baizhu as an early pull when I did a hail mary pull looking for Kuki. I'll forever love him. Shenhe I don't know. Obviously she's a great Cryo support for Freeze teams....but Mihoyo HATES letting players use Freeze and most endgame enemies/bosses are immune to it.
Finally, Shenhe rerun. I hope Lanyan is rated up on the Chronicled wish too. She probably will since the last Chronicled wish was Mond focused for the 4 stars.
I rly hope not to crush your dreams but outside of Chasca she is just useless. I waited 1 y to pull her then I got her and bench her 1m later just cos she is ... well useless even in overworld. ofc the goofy natlan chars that are like from ZZZ have 10 time better kits instead of one of the pretiest and coolest char in the game. to compare I used Dehya much more.
@@ixirion Bro, I really do not care. I pull characters because I like them and the Abyss isn’t hard enough to justify skipping a character I like when I can already clear. I pulled Chiori despite not having a single other Geo character built, and I’m gonna pull Shenhe despite not having a single DPS that works with her.
I can promise you that I will not have any primos by the end of the patch. Citlali is guaranteed. After her, I'm pulling for Mavuika. And then I'll have to make a choice of whether to try for a 50/50 to pull a Ganyu con or a Clorinde con (both currently c3).
Weird take, but I feel they could make more money by giving discounts for crystals for just this patch. More people would buy and then consider buying in the future; or this is cope because I want 4 characters this patch and I don't think 230 saved wishes will be enough.
I would agree that Baizhu is still an awesome pull, especially if you have no other powerful Dendro characters and are new to the game. He is just crazy flexible.
Okay but in what world would you use him over xilonen in phec+geo teams , Bennett in atk scaler teams . Like bro is slight a yao yao upgrade who in thier right mind pulls for this in 2025
No Yelan equals no Aqua simlacra in the Cronicled wish. I am so mad after waiting for Aqua in such a banner for so long where a possible loss is not that bad.
I believe yelan's next rerun would take longer than a year or so. same treatment with kokomi at first, then childe. if you get my drift. childe's last rerun was with zhongli on 4.0 almost equal to yelan's at 5.0. so yeah. sorry for that mate
Jello, I am watching most of your videos and appreciate your work, but I do have an idea for you: people usually play who they like and it would be sooo great if you would include not only their best teams but also a great option for the secend half of the abyss to give those characters a little more time, bc many characters are in high demand for many teams
the liyue banner specifically for characters seems really good, even while the characters arent that meta anymore they are still limited so its way better to pull now than on a rerun
Disagree completely on Mavuika having better pull value than Arlecchino. Yes, she has off field application, but her DPS is restricted by nightsoul gimmicks - and I think it's important to mention that she relies on Natlan characters (especially Xilonen, mostly Xilonen actually) to really max out her kit. That makes her overall pull value go down imo, as you're looking at a situation where you'll always need to reserve a slot for another Natlan character in her team. Arlecchino has no kit restrictions of any kind (not being able to receive healing doesn't mean she can't be healed - she self heals - and also doesn't make a shielder obligatory with her, it's only a comfort choice at C0), and like you mentioned she's more versatile in terms of team comps.
It isn't as restricted as u would think. To consistently burst with mavuika, u just need to do 14 normal attks, which isn't a tall order. This is also just assuming mavuika and 0 other natlan charas
@@lolidemon3163 no, you needed around 57 normal attacks last time I checked, which is a ridiculous requirement. You also need Xilonen's skill twice to fill up her fighting spirit without any other Natlan support in the team (Citlali alone can't do it).
@@zatglitzshe generates 80 fighting spirit herself leaving only 15 to burst and 1 hit= 1.5 fighting spirit so she only needs 10 normal attacks. It's VERY doable. She only needs xilonen if you want the max fighting spirit but if you don't care about it she's consistent
But she doesnt need Xilonen to act as Xiangling replacement with better buff from scroll set and without energy issues. So she isnt all that useless without Xilonen. Her support capability are pretty cozy for any team that doesnt require high pyro uptime. In the long term, she’ll become more valuable, but it’s upto you. Pull for whoever you like more
I am going all in for Shenhe. For a long time she has been one of my favorite characters (my favorite female character) and 5.3 is finally my time to get her.
As a day 1 Baizhu user, I must say he is a good choice, if you play dendro teams and I would still recommend him for people with C0 Neuvillette. He remains a good support for him, and provides extra survivability for the whole team without taking any on-field time from them. Bonus points for his f2p friendly build, because he works amazing with prototype amber. Baizhu is not a must pull, but he's definitely a comfort pick, and one of those characters I personally, don't regret getting. Also with content like imaginarium theater more supports = easier clear.
Yeah but these units are horrible😅 only Xiao and Childe are any value and thats a big if because their playstyles are not for everyone. Also Baizhu as a healer
The issue is the guarantee doesnt carry over to the next banner, because it uses the same fate system as the weapon banner. You cant really plan your pulls, and you have to go all in. So no, its not objectively better.

If you already have all the standard characters like many people do then it's more interesting getting something new as a freebie. I remember when she first came out people were saying how weak and boring she was because "all she does is infuse her weapon" and then both her reruns became the most popular banners at their times, still holding record high can't wait to read hundreds of comments about how bad this character is, and how they don't fit into Genshin - just for them to magically become everyones favourite character with the rerun

I'm skipping the main banners.. Ive been trying to get tartaglia since he came out and my previous primo savings have been awful. Finally I have enough to get him and his weapon. HE WILL COME HOME 😢
Compared to how epic her cutscenes are, the bike looks so bad. Like we could have had epic attack animations, but nope. She just does a flip and hits you with a tire.
One of the few cases where I would be fine with either weapon (I have both Arlecchino and Clorinde, and have previously tried and failed to get both their weapons)
I'm going for Arle cons (C3 hopefully) but if the weapon banner gives me Clorinde's as well, I'll pull C2 instead and use the rest for C0 Clorinde. This is truly our gambling impact 😂
8:32 Hey Jello! I'm not sure if you've tried it, but the 5.2 event weapon, Calamity of Eshu, seems to potentially be her best 4 star option! Which is very exciting. And I may be wrong since it's still relatively new, but I hear that it's often better than other 5 star stat stick weapons, and almost as good as her signature! I will say that if you have C2 Clorinde it does make having to run a shielder a little redundant, but this weapon is a FTP option anyway, so not many are going to have C2 Clorinde without her signature. I would LOVE it if you'd test out the event weapon, and let Clorinde pullers know if it's actually a good weapon or not (since I might be wrong if it's a good weapon or not)
Yeah, the problem with the bike is that it just feels too modern, and numerous other things like Xilonen's Roller Blades and Mixing Table just feel out of place to me a break my immersion. But I'll just have to get over it.

This Chronicled wish is just really appealing to me. I want Shenhe because I love her, I want Childe for the Harbinger collection, I want to get Xiao eventually but I told myself I’d wait until I got C6 Faruzan, but I wouldn’t mind getting him early, and would also like Baizhu for Alhaitham Hyperbloom with Furina (I just don’t like Nahida). Keqing and Ganyu are really pretty too. Qiqi is really the only dud here from my personal tastes.
C6 faruzan is amazing for xiao, but he is pretty amazing without it too. My tema is xiao, faruzan, bennet and furina. I have c6 faruzan and xiao does around 100k per plunge with this team, but a c0 faruzan already makes the plunges do around 70k, wich is still pretty good. Only const id say is mandatory is the one that extends faruzan burst field time, that one is necessary so it will last the whole xiao burst
Honestly I think Jello Impact definitely undersold this banner. I started Genshin around Faruzan release and saved a lot to eventually get C6 Xiao. Faruzan was never once on a banner with Xiao. The only thing with higher value was the Xianyun release banner which had Faruzan on it. (Since Xiao wants both of these characters) It's a great banner if you want any of these limited characters. (except the standard ones)
Would love if they changed around the pity here too. Whichever character you choose is guaranteed, and you get them in 60 pulls. That would be infinitely better. And then implement it more and have the banner be more recurring. Since the pity counts are separate to the normal limited banner, it means that any pulls that people do aren’t wasted. There’s so much potential and so many improvements they can make, but they just haven’t.

Now, I already have guarantee saved up since not many characters has been in high demand for me since Furina's rerun. But a lot of people have difficulty saving due to the "Building pity" mentality.

I honestly thought they would do it this way. These older characters should be given away on a selector or a guaranteed pull (like in Honkai Impact).
I was taking a break during the previous chronicled, and till today that's how I thought it worked. Was thinking about going for a guaranteed jade cutter for my first ever weapon wish, only to find out you can still lose, so that's a no.

This is a perfect time to flesh out an account more, because while losing 50/50 you can get limited characters, which is fantastic. I am an individual who would NEVER pull for a duplicate character, and therefore never get limited cons, this is a fantastic opportunity to potentially get cons for my limited Characters while picking up some new characters!

Genshin Impact has enough characters now that they should be doing a Chronicled Banner every patch, putting in the older/less popular characters in it. Then we would have to wait a year or more for characters to get a rerun (like Shenhe).
That would definitely be necessary to cycle older 5 stars faster like ganyu or eula

Venti is still the most powerful Archon in the game. Any time he can SUCC, he completely trivializes content. The only reason he's perceived as not good is because they specifically design Spiral Abyss chambers so he cannot SUCC. And they have to do that because of how powerful he is.

I mean... It's called chronicled wish right? not liyue chronicled wish. Ofc there is a pattern and it is supposed to be lantern rite banner, but no special rules there. If there was a rule it would be a banner for niche characters devs don't want to make normal rerun for. Childe was the main character in liyue story tho so it could be banner for character associated with liyue
Lets now hope that chronicle is not a one time per year deal. Every big event for Monstadt Liyue and Inazuma and even Sumeru, put their respective banner.

This is fantastic If you want any of these characters, you have the opportunity to lose the 50/50 to other limited characters on the banner, so it's quite literally just a strictly better banner. You can wish for Shenhe and get a Ganyu, or a Baizhu and get a Xiao. It's a fantastic opportunity to flesh out your account, and potentially get even more new limited characters or constellations at the same time.
As soon as I saw Shenhe, my pulling plans changed completely. I was gonna try to aim for Zhongli or Citlali after getting Neuvillette, but now I'm saving everything for her.

As a new player, I pulled Xianyun when she came out, then later managed to get C6 Farazun, and even pulled Xiao's weapon when I lost on a weapon banner, so the chance to get Xiao himself has got me excited, even if he is an older character - I don't have Furina, but whatever. Add in Lan Yan as the free 4-star, and it's looking like my Christmas will be spent in Liyue!
I also have Xianyun, C6 Faruzan, and Xiao! (No sig weapon tho😔). I don’t have Furina either but that Xiao team + any character for the scenario has served me very well!
I would love to have a swirl team with Xianyun and Farazun, right now I'm mainly rocking Vape and Aggravate teams.
You are in good hands really. Xianyun, Faruzan C6 help Xiao Be a Cracked Unit. Despite not having Furina you can have the 4th slop be a Flexible slot in for another Off Field character.

New Archon's have always rerun exactly 4 patches after their initial release, you can very safely skip her and know exactly when she's back. Oftentimes they've had significantly better 4stars on their second banner as well, so that's an additional insensitive to wait 4 banners.
I'd go for Shenhe if you want her, the Chronicle Wish is a perfect opportunity to flesh your account considering the potential to lose 50/50 to other limited units instead of standard characters.
yeah, I agree with the other person. The Archon is the most skippable character on debut if you want to maximize your account enjoyment long term. Skipping Nahida's debut meant I had the wishes to get Polar Star on the only great banner it's been on(shared with Kagura's Verity). Skipping Furina meant I got Wriothesley and Navia.
Ultimately, your primos, your account. The FOMO does kind of suck. But I'd 100% do it again because waiting meant I guaranteed both.

5:10 For all the people wondering, mavuika's flying/surfing/climbing modes have time limit restrictions of 5/5/3s respectively. So even if she has nightsoul or phlogiston bar she won't continuously do those. She is a great char to swap to in natlan but outside is quite awkward 🫤

Clorinde and Arlecchino have very high anti-interupt and resist/defense when bond of life is active, which makes them my pick to onfield, not to mention the self-healing. I also like Clorinde's rushdown style of play and Arlecchino's cleave.
16:08 totally agree on that. I feel hoyo knows these are "low-worth" characters and that's why they even have a seperate banner, so making the pity even 10 lower would be fair. I mean this is basically the "throwing the trash out" banner, so why not throw the trash out at a discount.
Non of these beside Qiqi are even trash in the first place, outdated and powercrept, sure. But not outright terrible. Mondstadt's Chronicled was bad because all three limited in those banners has legit issues in their kits.
The problem with this banner is really how infrequent it is. It's a perfect banner for filler patches and to alleviate the rerun issue, but Hoyo love FOMO so...

I...actually think every character on this banner is really good for f2p characters. Even Keqing and Qiqi. They all help your account. It's just a matter of personal preference. But all of them are usable. Like, I personally hate using Keqing, but I can't lie and say that she's not a bad character for Hyperbloom teams (I have no other good Electro characters unless Sethos counts). This is a very good banner for people with fewer characters (new players, casual players, old players with absolutely terrible luck, etc.)
Ganyu, Xiao and Childe are still meta. Just cause there are people who don’t use them anymore, they will always be strong af.
Chronicled wish only even exists to run out of meta or unpopular units, I don't know why people are shocked that the units on it are mostly not strong.
I was suspecting as much. When they did a Hu Tao banner i thought "they will also not put Yelan into chronicled" and they did not. Those two weapons are hella good and both characters are great. There is no profit for Hoyo to put them into chronicled. And hoyo is all about profit.

I disagree on your Baizhu recommendation. It seems to me you think every player goes for the same 2 meta teams. Everyone plays Neuvillette or Arlechino to care about synergy with them specifically.
Xilonen doesn’t work at all with
Dendro, Cryo or Anemo teams. So Baizhu still has a use case worthy enough of wanting to pull for him. His much more comfortable to use than 4 star replacements.
I think Shenhe is a good pull because we soon will enter the Cryo region and who knows when she will re run again. The other characters on the banner aren’t that great in my opinion. (Xiao is fine)
I also think Baizhu’s constellation are strong because it removes his high energy recharge needs. And the second one makes it so you have infinite duration of Dendro application even without switching to him.
I play Dendro and Anemo teams and completely skipped Xilonen as she does nothing for my account. Maybe most players do care for her because everyone plays Neuvillette
Fr! Even with meta characters he is a really good support for any non-burning dendro team. Interuption resis, decent application that doesn't need to be reapplied every wave (Nahida >_>), healing so he works with Furnina, and he also buff dendro reactions for the on-fielder

the importance of meta in Genshin is about the same as the importance of meta in Magia Record. which means the meta is least important.
Baizhu (C0) will stay in my Neuvillette team, no matter what, I do have Xilonen (C0) and tried replacing Baizhu with her, it was worse (probably because I didn't get Xilonen cons) and now Xilonen is collecting dust in my roster.
Xilonen was a pulling mistake (for me) since she is seeing no use at all. I can do all content without using her.

For me, the chronicle banner is a saving grace, I've been waiting for Ganyu eversince I started playing Genshitt, now I can finally pull her. I can save upto 200 pulls before her banner so it's pretty much guaranteed.❤
She is a fun character to play. She may not be the best, but I find her playstyle enjoyable and I like her design. I hope you get her early. Enjoy!

You only need a max of 180 pulls for a 100% gaurantee, and you need to be pretty unlucky to need that many even. I'm in the same boat though, I've wanted ganyu for years and missed every single rerun cause I didn't understand how the pity system worked back then as a noob, but now I barely have any primos after pulling c2 nahida not realising ganyu was right around the corner. The pain of being lowspend/f2p

5:19 I agree. All other Archons' elemental skill/burst are related to their characters or nations, and yet Mavuika just pulls out a motorcycle that has nothing to do with Natlan or Teyvat.
The chronicled wish banner should remain a permanent banner until the next regional banner reset. Unless paired with premium characters, most of the characters on the chronicled wish are not meta, so it would be reasonable to make the banners permanent.

The difference there is she’s actually using a shamisen in universe. The electric guitar angle always felt like non diegetic music for style. The motorbike is just a motorbike. I don’t get why people are defending it. It clashes with everything we know about the world and especially natlan. The fact we got a motorbike before a horse is just ridiculous and it creates plot holes (if we have that technology why werent the couriers using them to deliver messages and why were we forced to use a slow ass balloon to reinforce) and if your answer is it’s just a power Mavuika has then that makes her look like an asshole for not using her power for something less frivolous. The electric guitar is a fun style choice, not a walking plot hole
@@GravenAshes Because it ain't that deep. The actual lore is that Xilonen can engineer these random phlogiston powered things that a few playable characters have, the bike is just one of them but for whatever reason people don't like how it looks I guess.
@@GravenAshes It’s likely not mass producible due to very few people actually having the skill set to create constructs of this nature. It’s been made clear you have to have VERY extensive knowledge to forge ancient names or constructs utilizing Phlogiston. Both Chascas gun and the bike were custom made by Xilonen herself, so trying to create enough for a whole army when you’re the only one who can do it is pretty unrealistic.

Even then, if the motorbike is too hard to mass produce she clearly has the means to create electrical devices using a combustion engine which also could have solved the communication issues that were a major plot point in 5.1. Also we were previously told Fontaine was the most advanced civilization in the world so they are actively contradicting their own lore. It’s one thing to put steampunk technology in a fantasy setting but modern coded technology has a lot of baggage surrounding it so if you drop it into the world with no prior explanation people are going to have questions. Personally I’m more irritated at the lack of explanation for the pixel dragon

The other thing that killed the Chronicle Wish banner is why pair it with a new Archon banner? If this had been a 5.4 or 5.2 option I might have tried going for some constellation's. Like if it was an off hype patch, I would even considering spending a bit, but on a stacked Archon banner, if I decide to spend it will go into the weapon or secondary Character banner.
Weirdly enough... I'm more excited to pull on the Chronicled than Mauvika since multiple characters in it I wouldn't mind getting. That said, yeah. It does kind of feel like they are intentionally setting this banner up for failure with it's placement.
I'm tempted to pull on Chronicled. I'd love a constellation for Tartaglia, Xiao, or Baizhu. I don't pull for female characters (when I FINALLY get Wriothesley and have all the men in the game, perhaps, but that will apparently be 5 years from now when we get a chronicled wish for Fontaine). I'll have to decide if it's worth it and if I have enough pulls. I love the concept of chronicled wish, because I love being able to get a unit I would never pull for but would benefit from having (like Shenhe or Ganyu). I just need to be sure there's not any sneaky boy characters upcoming before I go in for it.

@@artis-ry4hp Dude that's incredible for you! If you have c6 money then instead of getting 7 Tartaglia and up to 7 random standard units, you will get up to 7 other limited units! You could end up with C6 Xiao AND C6 Tartaglia for the same price of 1 C6 Tartaglia. Chronicled Wish isn't as good if you spend less than 90-180 pulls, but if you're already ready for multiple constellations it's directly better.

i wouldn’t say she’s USELESS depending on the dps you use. if your dps uses normal attacks you can slowly charge her burst, yea it may take two rotations, but it doesn’t make her too useless just.. a bit annoying.
she’s a bit more useful in the abyss only in the first chamber, as you immediately get all your bursts including hers.. but she’s still definitely limited.

I got Baizhu as an early pull when I did a hail mary pull looking for Kuki. I'll forever love him.
Shenhe I don't know. Obviously she's a great Cryo support for Freeze teams....but Mihoyo HATES letting players use Freeze and most endgame enemies/bosses are immune to it.
This is the first patch I am extremely excited for since Natlan released. Really haven’t been particularly enthusiastic about Natlan before 5.3
Finally, Shenhe rerun. I hope Lanyan is rated up on the Chronicled wish too. She probably will since the last Chronicled wish was Mond focused for the 4 stars.

Jello, I am watching most of your videos and appreciate your work, but I do have an idea for you: people usually play who they like and it would be sooo great if you would include not only their best teams but also a great option for the secend half of the abyss to give those characters a little more time, bc many characters are in high demand for many teams

the liyue banner specifically for characters seems really good, even while the characters arent that meta anymore they are still limited so its way better to pull now than on a rerun
Disagree completely on Mavuika having better pull value than Arlecchino. Yes, she has off field application, but her DPS is restricted by nightsoul gimmicks - and I think it's important to mention that she relies on Natlan characters (especially Xilonen, mostly Xilonen actually) to really max out her kit. That makes her overall pull value go down imo, as you're looking at a situation where you'll always need to reserve a slot for another Natlan character in her team. Arlecchino has no kit restrictions of any kind (not being able to receive healing doesn't mean she can't be healed - she self heals - and also doesn't make a shielder obligatory with her, it's only a comfort choice at C0), and like you mentioned she's more versatile in terms of team comps.
Xilonen and Citlali is her best team member..
It isn't as restricted as u would think. To consistently burst with mavuika, u just need to do 14 normal attks, which isn't a tall order. This is also just assuming mavuika and 0 other natlan charas
@@lolidemon3163 no, you needed around 57 normal attacks last time I checked, which is a ridiculous requirement. You also need Xilonen's skill twice to fill up her fighting spirit without any other Natlan support in the team (Citlali alone can't do it).
@@zatglitzshe generates 80 fighting spirit herself leaving only 15 to burst and 1 hit= 1.5 fighting spirit so she only needs 10 normal attacks. It's VERY doable. She only needs xilonen if you want the max fighting spirit but if you don't care about it she's consistent
But she doesnt need Xilonen to act as Xiangling replacement with better buff from scroll set and without energy issues. So she isnt all that useless without Xilonen. Her support capability are pretty cozy for any team that doesnt require high pyro uptime. In the long term, she’ll become more valuable, but it’s upto you.

As a day 1 Baizhu user, I must say he is a good choice, if you play dendro teams and I would still recommend him for people with C0 Neuvillette. He remains a good support for him, and provides extra survivability for the whole team without taking any on-field time from them. Bonus points for his f2p friendly build, because he works amazing with prototype amber.
Baizhu is not a must pull, but he's definitely a comfort pick, and one of those characters I personally, don't regret getting. Also with content like imaginarium theater more supports = easier clear.

Eh subjective truth be told "Strength" doesn't mean all to much. You go for X character get Y and maybe there your new favorite or Constellations
The issue is the guarantee doesnt carry over to the next banner, because it uses the same fate system as the weapon banner. You cant really plan your pulls, and you have to go all in. So no, its not objectively better.

8:32 Hey Jello! I'm not sure if you've tried it, but the 5.2 event weapon, Calamity of Eshu, seems to potentially be her best 4 star option! Which is very exciting.
And I may be wrong since it's still relatively new, but I hear that it's often better than other 5 star stat stick weapons, and almost as good as her signature!
I will say that if you have C2 Clorinde it does make having to run a shielder a little redundant, but this weapon is a FTP option anyway, so not many are going to have C2 Clorinde without her signature.
I would LOVE it if you'd test out the event weapon, and let Clorinde pullers know if it's actually a good weapon or not (since I might be wrong if it's a good weapon or not)

This Chronicled wish is just really appealing to me. I want Shenhe because I love her, I want Childe for the Harbinger collection, I want to get Xiao eventually but I told myself I’d wait until I got C6 Faruzan, but I wouldn’t mind getting him early, and would also like Baizhu for Alhaitham Hyperbloom with Furina (I just don’t like Nahida). Keqing and Ganyu are really pretty too. Qiqi is really the only dud here from my personal tastes.
C6 faruzan is amazing for xiao, but he is pretty amazing without it too. My tema is xiao, faruzan, bennet and furina. I have c6 faruzan and xiao does around 100k per plunge with this team, but a c0 faruzan already makes the plunges do around 70k, wich is still pretty good. Only const id say is mandatory is the one that extends faruzan burst field time, that one is necessary so it will last the whole xiao burst
Honestly I think Jello Impact definitely undersold this banner. I started Genshin around Faruzan release and saved a lot to eventually get C6 Xiao. Faruzan was never once on a banner with Xiao. The only thing with higher value was the Xianyun release banner which had Faruzan on it. (Since Xiao wants both of these characters) It's a great banner if you want any of these limited characters. (except the standard ones)
I've been waiting for Ganyu for so long, pretty sad timing because I want Citlali and Mavuika, but their reruns will come a lot faster than Ganyu lol
Would love an updated Shenhe guide, with inclusions for C1, C2 and possibly C6
Would love if they changed around the pity here too.
Whichever character you choose is guaranteed, and you get them in 60 pulls. That would be infinitely better.
And then implement it more and have the banner be more recurring. Since the pity counts are separate to the normal limited banner, it means that any pulls that people do aren’t wasted.
There’s so much potential and so many improvements they can make, but they just haven’t.
