    It looks awesome. It is a cheap setup compared to "all carbon"/dura ace builds but it looks way better than some of those.
    Almost slammed and long stem, deep sections wheels, complete groupset and consistent cable routing (all external no half this & half that) ... really satisfying.
    I need to give kind of the same treatment to my AL 2 :D

    The local bike salesmen looked at me weirdly when I pronounced it the way you did (“domain”). Took me awhile to get into the habit of pronouncing it as “doe-mon-knee”

    Did you upgrade your hubs? The rear hubs seems to be 5x130mm. Can i use 9x130mm if i want to upgrade to a 11 speed?

    High mister shanmac77. How is your Trek Domane at this point? Still satisfactory? I'm planning to buy my first roadbike, the Domane Al3 2021 this winter. I ordered the 61 cm frame version (I think it's 24 inches), of which the seat tube length is 57.8 cm (23 inches). My total body length is 203 cm, about 6 foot 8'. Inner leg length is 3 foot 2.68'. Could you give any hints as to wether the domane Al 3 is fit for me? I know a saddle pin of 40 cm (instead of 33 cm) is available and I asked for it at the dealer. And of course I'm planning on fiitting the bike first.
    If you have any idea I would be grateful for your input. Thanks in advance.

    purchased this bike two months ago - so happy so far, good bike, but i had to change the brakes, the original ones were not decent enough and i could not brake safely downhill!

      I find the brakes fine although I did change the brake blocks and pads to Swissstop which gives it a luxury feel now.

    I can’t tell if you’re pronouncing Domane and Shimano wrong on accident or because of an accent. Either way...dang good looking bike!!

    I know it's a year later but how much better was the switch too carbon wheels in terms if weight and ride?

    • @geolocate
      @geolocate  4 года назад

      If you are riding 30km/hr and under you really don't need carbon wheels. I think they look nice though and I like the sound they make on the road.

    Hi, great looking machine! I am actually thinking of buying the same model. Could you please let me know what kind/type of bottom bracket does it have? Is it pressfit? Cheers!

    • @geolocate
      @geolocate  5 лет назад

      I think it is a Shimano Hollowtech II threaded bottom bracket but don't hold me to it. It doesn't creak and that's all I care about.

    How does the bike compare to the Emonda and which one would you chose if you could only have one?

    • @geolocate
      @geolocate  5 лет назад +4

      The Emonda. Lighter and better components. This Domane is a better value for your money though. Some people only have a set amount of money they have saved. Bikes are super expensive now-days and I understand when people stick to a budget.

  • @EuroRSN

    How are the wheels holding up?

    • @geolocate
      @geolocate  4 года назад

      Good. I've had a spoke break a couple times on the rear wheel but I owe that to the fact that I am a 94kg rider on some rough pavement sometimes. They give you a couple of spare spokes per wheel so it is not a problem to change it out, maybe 5 min. No cracks on the carbon and brake lines holding up well. Cheers.
