Great video Chad. Thanks! I hit a snag. After getting the castle nut 75% of the way off the bolt started to spin. Must have broken off inside the tie rod end. I ended up cutting it off with my sawsall. I did have to run out to get a new metal blade. My suggestion is to have a sawsall ready with some good metal cutting blades just in case you run into this issue. Also, don't forget to add the grease fitting and fill with grease. Repair took me 90 minutes. Without the issue would have been done in 45.

Good straight forward video. Completed as an unrehearsed project so it doesn't go smoothly as the way most of us will do it with unforeseen issues that almost always arise. I liked this video because I'm not a fan of rehearsed ones that shows everything going as planned as if the project had already been completed and redone for the video. Great video. Thank you.

Good video! One thing I noticed though was you forgot to wrap the cotter pin around the bolt but that is all. The adjusting nut came out easier than expected, but I would've used the correct size wrench if blow torching one time will not help break it loose.

When the tie rod is bad will it make a noise when reversing like a knock or a clunk?

its been awhile since you commented so idk if you still need to know, but lift the car up and try to wiggle the tire. If it has some play then the tie rod is most likely bad at the ball joint.

Try turning the right way, you were tightening it. Not unless you mirror immaged the screen.

Why didn't you grease it? You didn't attach the knipple and grease it up. Moog must be greased during install. I just put the same ones on and they come with small amount of packing grease but need filled up on install. Attach the knipple pump it full of grease, put on the vehicle and grease again just in case you lost some on install. You just installed an empty ball joint with no grease bud, that rubber boot should be inflated with grease.

GOOD LUCK WITH MOOG. even the greasable.:. Moog is now outsourced and made cheap as hell. Quality and durability has gone WAY downhill.

I use Moog all the time, drive works is worse. I always go with Moog when I can even if they are Chinese made now.
