If makers of good glitch levels like this one were upset about their levels getting axed, I don't think they would put so much time into them. They're meant for downloading quick before they get taken down, and for open course world or whatever that modded switch level importer thing is.

Basically, as I understand it, when the game lagged, that was because a bunch of stuff spawned in at the same time (1000 coins from blocks or something, via a whole 'nother contraption). It was designed so that the checkpoint would load in on the same frame, so the game just... never gets there, and it never loads in. So you'll note it's _also_ not there at 28:00... Until he goes far enough left that the spot goes offscreen at 28:10, at which point it loads properly when it scrolls back on screen. [I might have details wrong because that's from memory; I think it was Carl's video of the level that had a glitch explanation, so you can check there for more details]

i get that creative use of game mechanics allows for really different uses of things. i just can't admire and appreciate the unintended use of such things based on what the game is. Now if this was a rom hack, sure go nuts. if i'm in the mood i'll enjoy it. But this is MM2, another player is going to (maybe) get this level and be what ruins their run because literally anything can happen when the game was intended to be based on what you see there with the ONLY thing you wouldn't see being "hidden blocks" but this gives enough general awareness there are places you'd expect someone who uses hidden blocks heavily to not use them. Everything else is "apparent information" so you can think about how to best continue your journey through the level.
