• Yeti Cup Cleaning, DON...
I never knew how to put my gasket back on the correct way. Thank you so much now I can remember how to put it back on.
genius! I've had one for about 8 months and didn't realize it had a magnet! thanks a lot
Glad this helped!!
Another way to remove the rubber gasket, without using something that could add scratches; Press with one finger and go in a circle, it will bunch up and pop up, grab it and pull it off.
Thank you for the tip!
Dude! I’ve been looking at all the grimy coffee crap building up under the lid for weeks, I had no idea that damn thing was magnetic! Thank you!
Glad it helped. Pretty easy to clean once you pop it off.
its literally in the name, lol.
Knew there had to be a reason for that magnet. Didn't even know it was there until it stuck to my silverware.
Now I know why. Thanks for the video.
Holy shit, I've had mine for 6+ months. It was getting pretty gross under that slider. I looked up how to clean it and your video came up. I've dropped this cup and that slider hasn't came off. Thank you for this.
Glad I could help.
Thank you! Great info. I just got my first magslide and had no idea how to clean under the slide part. Thanks.
Glad I could help
Wow!!
Had my Yeti for months now, and never knew the slider was a magnet!
And I don’t think I would’ve figured it out!
Thanks for sharing your valuable knowledge with the rest of us
Great video!
Awesome magnet I didn’t know!
Good tidbit of information! Thank you! 😊
Your welcome!
Just pinch gasket it comes right out too. I clean every use
Thanks !👍💪
Really helpful video - thank you!
Glad it helped
Thank you SO much!!!! 👍🏼👍🏼😘
Thanks for your video. That seems like a huge hassle to clean the lid! I guess I won't be buying Yeti cups for Christmas gifts.
Thanks for the thorough explanations and demos.
I guess im asking randomly but does someone know a trick to log back into an instagram account?
I stupidly forgot the account password. I would love any tricks you can offer me
@Joaquin Josue instablaster =)
@Mathias Hunter thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now.
Seems to take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Mathias Hunter it did the trick and I actually got access to my account again. Im so happy!
Thanks so much you really help me out :D
@Joaquin Josue Glad I could help =)
This exact same cup is my first Yeti product. I was wondering why there was a magnet on the lid. And then I dropped it and the slider came off. And that’s when I found the real Genius of this cup! I wanted to know more and found your video here. There was a Lot of thought that went into the making of this cup. Including the Handle I opted for, now I know why it cost me upwards of $35 🤔 Thanks for the video. It’ll help a lot of people.
I legit have no idea the magnet come off lol
@@ling199508 do you hear yourself? You're literally advocating and expressing a Devotion to a product that falls apart by your own words and has no intuitive functionality even though it's nothing more than a overpriced coffee mug. Seriously? Do you realize what you're saying it's just a stupid coffee mug that you're willing pay more money for the coffee itself has the world gone mad
I knew about the magnet but what's an easy way to clean between the groves in the rubber seal? Like milk crust gets in there and I scrape it off and clean but it never feels clean it it doesn't go thru the dishwasher.
Gracias! El único video que encontré sobre esto 🫶🏼
Thanks. Didn't want to break anything and that was stupidly easy
This lid fits a 40 oz beast?
Thank you very much for showing that I was wondering about those mugs love you more program videos
My plastic sliding lid just broke, I think I am going to get one of these to replace it
Omg people need to do this with all cups not just yeti i started doing this will all my cups and helps from getting sick
Thanks, great video! Do you want to do comparison to stanley cup ?
Great suggestion!
THIS is what I love about YT… “Honey, can you…?” Hello YT search!
How do you keep the cover plastic clear? Mine are washed daily but have become cloudy over time. Thanks
I hand wash with a non abrasive sponge. I did buy a a new lid for my tumbler 20 about 2 years after I got the cup.
I want to see you put the gasket back on, please. Thanks!
thank you, was not thinking a magnet
Your welcome! Glad I could help!
Do most people not completely take their lids apart when cleaning the cup? I sometimes go a day or two of use only rinsing but that's if drinking tea or juice, if coffee, smoothie, or any sediment drink I thoroughly clean to avoid buildup and bacteria.
They definitely need cleaned well and on a regular basis
Can you buy a replacement rubber gasket or do you have to buy the entire cap?
Yes you can buy the gasket Amazon has them in a two pack for $8.00. Thanks for watching
Thank you!
can someone tell which size is the lid? there are too many on their web page
There should be an option to choose the size based on the cup size.
*Can you do a video on cleaning Toilets?*
It's magnetic?!?! Been wondering how to clean this stupid lid for months!!
The slider part on the top of the lid does come off.
Read the manual next time.
It literally took me 4 years to know that the lid was magnet and comes off!!
My lid gets stuck. I can close it but I cant open it again unless I do it from underneath. Any suggestions?
The slider won't slide open
I press on the side of the gasket and slid it forward to take of my gasket. I'm just afraid of damaging the gasket.
Not a bad idea. Thanks for the input
Does a plastic straw fit in the drink hole ok? Don't wanna buy the extra lid.
If it was flexible like a fast food straw should be no issue getting it in there. Some of the commercial straws that are hard and ridged may not fit.
Fuck I dropped my cup and the little piece came of and I thought the cup was just cheap so I got mad and just left the little piece on the floor didn't know it was magnet
I feel so dumb right now.... is a magnet bro... a fuking MAGNEEEEEEEEET...
Take the rubber off the slide it get grime build up under there too.
Does anyone feel incredibly stupid? 🤔🤔 i hope its not just me
Hope the video helped! Thanks for watching
I love this lid, I use it on a 30 oz Yeti and a 30 oz Ozark Trail tumbler. I always wash it thoroughly with dish soap and an antibacterial sponge. I had it put away for a while, and recently got it back out to use. The strange thing is the magnetic slide part smells funky even after rewashing. Just the little part that comes off, not the lid. Why is that? And what can I do to fix it?
Sorry to hear that. I’m not sure what would cause this unless water is getting into the magnetic slide somehow. Someone suggested soaking it in a mild bleach and water solution then clean and dry well. Not sure if this would do the trick but might be worth a shot. Good luck. Let us know if it helps or if you find s better solution.
Soak in vinegar. Same thing with the gasket and rest of the lid after removing the gasket.
@@cfrost87 The mag slider seems to be made of a porous plastic that harbors mildew. I ruined my first one by soaking it in vinegar - it penetrated the plastic and corroded the magnet within, causing it to swell up and no longer seal. I boil it now, like you would with baby bottle nipples.
builds up film of bacteria inside if not washed regularly. Hard to see the stuff inside. same similar color. hot water and liquid detergent with a type of bottle brush. hard to get it all out of cup... scrub briskly.
Yeti's black gaskets doesn't show the black mold that builds up and can't be removed with a simple cloth, soapy water or chlorine bleach. Looking at one under a microscope will show you some serious nasties. I've switched to other brand cups with transparent silicone seals that show the buildup, allowing you to clean and eventually replace the seal. Never buy a cup which hides or doesn't allow you to clean the contaminates.
btw. Sweetened drinks (tea, sodas) will build up the black mold much more quickly on the seals.
Doesn’t matter if it’s black or transparent they’ll still get equally clean in a dishwasher
Shouldn't use carbonated drinks per the manual.
Please make some more videoso please keep doing these kinds of videos Apple some camping equipment to
Will do more to come shortly. Thank you
The lid on my Yeti Rambler is hard to remove; this is hard on my finger tips, It has only been used about five times. Is anyone else having this problem?
They do fit very securely. Especially the newer they are. With continued use it should get easier. That being said take a look at the black rubber gasket and make sure it is installed correctly. The larger protruding rib on the gasket should be on top. This helps the gasket fit the contour of the cup. Hope this helped. Thanks for watching!!
@@JarvisOutdoors Thank you!
I hope I can get that 0 ring back on lol!
It was actually very easy!
Just take lid and seal off soak in vinegar once a week
Thanks for the tip. Will try this
Mine is NOT spill proof
It's SPLASH PROOF not spill proof.
You idiots should learn how to read it clearly says splash proof. there’s a difference.
Wtf didn't know the slider came off I have dropped it several times and it has never came off.
It’s definitely a strong magnet!
It's a damn shame this lid doesn't come with the 24oz mug. I'd have to buy it separately after buying the mug.
I think lids are important ,no lid. No purchase for me
I had to buy my lids separately on the 20 ounce
How do you properly put back on the gasket to the lid to where it doesn’t leak?!?!? Make it Simple Stupid please!
Take a look at the gasket the bigger of the two ribs goes on top. Gasket is tapered to fit the contour of the cup.
All this for a cup of coffee thats gone in 15 mins. Really?.
😂 Yes! you will NOT need or appreciate a Yeti. Some of us sip our coffee for an hour or more. Some of us take a cup to go and won't be drinking it for a good while. I would never have purchased one, but received it as a gift and I really enjoy it every day. Blessings! 😁
@@carolschedler3832 I see, you actually drank the Koolaid from your mug.
@@c.r.1823 😂 I love my mug! Never wanted one but was a great gift. ♥️ So glad you have other options. Interesting you were watching a Yeti tutorial! Love your diversity. Blessed!
@@carolschedler3832 I find your obsession entertaining I really don't care about the mug or coffee and for me this is just an exercise .I and don't have such a lackluster life that I need affirmation by a contrived social media platform that boasts loyality over reality. All this over a overpriced coffee mug seriously you're going to have to sharpen your skills to be an influencer no matter how hard you try any percieved kick back from Yeti is nothing but irony. I just finished my warm coffee from my generic reliable stainless steel coffee mug as well as this tete a tete ...back to the real world now.
A 6 minute video on how to wash a lid ..lol
you're stumbling all over yourself
New to doing videos at that point. Thank you for the constructive criticism!
If your cup isn't stained with a coffee ring on the inside it don't taste the same
can someone tell which size is the lid? there are too many on their web page
This lid is on the Yeti Rambler 30 cup.
Looking at the site this lid will fit the 14oz mug or the 30 oz cup
