Excellent. But I have another problem: I have 3-5 text variables that I am looking for in a long text... How can I extract those variables to a separate column? Of course, I could do exactly THIS exercise, but isn't there a workaround? Would FIND/SEARCH etc functions do any good?

Is it possible to find multiple strings of data with the MID function in the same cell? I have data with buried email addresses in it, but there's a lot of garbage data in between. I am able to use the MID function to extract the first instance of the email, but none of the subsequent emails in the same cell.
So, we don't have to introduce in speaking test? Will the test start directly with the images as you shown above?

What if there are multiple occurances of charactors and I want to extract nth charactor between nth charactor combination.
Hello! What if i have a column with different products and i need to extract only the brand of the products? So basically the number of characters i eant to extract is different. What formula do i use so excel can calculate automatically for the rest if i use drag down after i use the formula for the first product?
Is the brand separated by a space? If it is, then I guess you could still do the same formula in the video but your FIND/SEARCH text string will be " "

You can combine multiple functions within one formula to get what you need.

Ok. So after extracting what is needed, how do I combine the extractions into a different cell? Example; I extract “ABC” from one cell, then I extract “BobbyJoe” from another cell, and what I want for result in a different cell is “ABC BobbyJoe” How do I do that?
Textjoin , concat , concatenate, these formulas is perfect for you need , i recommend the first one
How do I deduct letters, example: Alameda, I want to cut everything except A, from Alameda it will be A, so when I merge the data, the Directory in word will show Drop Cap as A, next line Alameda, and so forth, if I don't have this in excel extra column this deduction, the word document will show A(the drop cap) and repeat alameda. I don't want this repetition. I want the drop cap exclusively alone first line, and 2nd paragraph the Alameda County etc. If I have the data in Access, I would not have this problem that has a feature to deduct the Heading letters to make the Drop Cap. How do I avoid repetition from excel data when I merging in word. Example: Alameda has many depts, etc. If Alameda has 5 depts, it will repeat in the word document 5 times the Alameda heading. How it can display only one time Alameda and it's depts, and next county like Alpino should do same no repetition.
yeah but what if the cell contains numbers instead of text?
These functions work with both number and text strings, you just need to adjust your formulas (which character to find/search or character length) to accommodate what your data set and what you are trying to extract from it.
The easy way to do all these is to switch to Google Sheets and use the SPLIT() function 😉.
