This scene is just amazing. The movie was absolutely marvelous. My mother watched it as a child and remembered this scene decades later and together we found the movie a few days ago and watched it. I'm very impressed. The actors were phenomenal.
This scene is incredible. I saw this film as a child and and it affected me greatly. All my life wanted to make a difference, but it wasn't until I was in my 50s though that I landed a job as a one-to-one special needs teaching assistant. I literally waited my whole life for that job! ❤
My grandma named me after this film she called me Mandy miller my whole life and always told me about this. First time seeing it today at 29 years old🩵

It’s Mandy Miller. Not Jane Asher
Jane Asher is the blonde girl, Miller is the main character.

That’s not Jane Asher
She is the light haired girl sitting next to the teacher at the beginning, and asked to show "what she had written" at the end.
