I don't believe I've ever heard another band cover this Blind Faith song* (featuring Clapton's song & Stevie Winwood's vocals of course). Thank you Susan, Derek & the band, did complete justice to it. Thx to LTFP & Casey C for bringing it to the forefront. *I understand Billy Corgan (of Smashing Pumpkins) did a cover. Clapton said this was a "song of gratitude".
I remember listening to late night radio probably 25 years ago while driving in Minnesota. This kick ass voice from a woman came in a song that hit me up one side and down the other. Need I say more?
World’s greatest cover band…and that’s not a passive/agressive, backhanded compliment. This band has the chops, combined with passion and respect, to recreate classics on a musical level with the originals.
Okay, gotta get real here.I was in high school when Jimi and Janis were rockin' the world. Jimi must have bequeathed a lot of his spirit to Derek and obviously Janis bequeathed hers to Susan. So awesome!!!
I thought Steve Winwood wrote this. Now I don’t know. Saw him doing it in traffic long before I saw Eric doing it. Edit: had to look it up and you are correct. Eric wrote it too high for him to sing it himself because he wanted Steve to sing it. (Blind Faith).
@@davidpeightal4918 funny thing is how he credited Delaney Bramlett with bringing him to Christ and it was the crazy fighting between Delaney & Bonnie that broke their band up. Guess you can represent the Prince of Peace and still not be at peace. Hope he found his peace eventually. I know Eric did. Shalom
Just curious, where did you get this information? I don't question it. Just want to know so I can support it I've always wanted to believe that many musicians are Christians.I know that I am.
@ just google search. That’s what I did. I was adrift in 1970/71 and that song helped stabilize me before really going off the deep end. Just google Eric Clapton Christian? Some good stuff will come up. Get back to me if needed I can possibly go digging thru my bookmarks. The Lord called me at 9 and I ran the other way and became a drug dealing outlaw. At 42/43, I was looking at 4 years upstate NY in prison and found my way back to Him or maybe I should say He made His presence known. Steve Winwood supposedly came back to faith in the last ten years or so. Shalom
Best touring band out there, so glad I got to see them recently!
I’d have to second that and each time I’d seen them they just keep getting better and better ❤❤❤
Agreed, great live band. Also check out Allman Family Reunion if you can.
@@jeffbrassard1268 I saw The Allman Betts Band with Larkin Poe two years ago.
Great song, beautiful rendition by Susan beautiful voice 💞 great band, Derek playing just fantastic 💞💞 Love Clapton, love TTB ♥️
What a treat to hear Susan sing this-outrageously soulful as usual! Love her wah solo-yess!! Derek woah smokin'!!
One of my favorite songs from High School. It’s so beautiful and Trucks band does it justice.
The best of the best!! Those guitars, that voice, that DRESS! Tedeschi Trucks keeps getting greater.
Derek and Susan covering BF.
Awesome!
Very few bands can play this right . This beautiful lady and her rocking husband are fantastic at Clapton covers.
Beautiful I have heard this live by TTB ❤SWAMPETTE ❤
I was gonna say this rocking lady and her beautiful husband 😂
Well said.
YES❤
I'm in love! ❤
Susan is a class act.
Susan aging like a Napa Valley Cabernet. 😍

This entire show was pure 🔥🎶🎵💯 It's a shame I had to dance all night. Thanks as always for the post LTFP!
Susan killing it on guitar!
I used to play this in a band I had in the 90's.

Susan and Derek are awesome! What a band!
Great job on a classic song.
And we have Susan nailing it again.
Looks good . plays good . sings good . outstanding band and a nice voice.
One and only < couldn't attend but burner friend Dan did and he said it was awesome show
I just found out about this song recently. It is definitely a classic.
So respectful!!

Your videos are so good!
Thanks Eugene! We appreciate it.
And what people have learned from ancient mariners! Marvels
You certainly create a presence on stage
Tear it up Susan!

Susan on point.
Jesus, her voice though!
Clapton's great song! 👏👏🔥
👍 Susan
Blind faith. Is one of one. All of you think hard.
Damn
✌💀👍🎸🎼🎶🎵🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Beautiful woman !
Name a better guitarist than Derek Trucks
The singing is top notch. I feel that the solos are a bit mechanical and the rhythm too strict compared to Clapton's original. The final jam is good.
Eric wrote this after coming to faith in Christ. His life may have had some ups and downs but I’m pretty sure Jesus is still his Lord.

Drink and drugs is a great way to see an imaginary friend 🤡
Which album did Eric have this song on.
Blind Faith... with Steve Winwood, Ginger Baker and Rick Grech... awesome album... been listening to it since the '70's!!
Lord Vader?
I seen them on July 29 2024 it was the best show I went too and I saw Slash and Joe Bonamassa but this band was the best
