I bought this little thing a few weeks ago and I really like it. I don’t need it but it’s fun just to have it with me as I go around the house if I wanna listen to a local radio show I haven’t figured out the short wave yet but it comes with an external antenna and a lot of extra goodies. I also love the fact that it’s got a Bluetooth connection and a phone app so you can control the radio from the phone and even record broadcasts.
I like these Raddy radios by the way they look...sort of 80's retro.

5850-5950,KHz are WRMI-in Florida 5935KHZ is WWCR , the screamer on WRMI is the late Brother Stair or as I call him BS. I you listen to either 5850 or 5950 KHZ before 0200 UTC they usually have interesting programs.
I would jump on this receiver even $30 more if they would have enabled SSB.

I am for sure going to buy this radio but the one I can get is HRD-A320 same radio just different band although it shows a green dial light. I would imagine this sounds even better than my HRD-701 similar to the little Raddy that you reviewed a while ago.
will this radio work while plugged in, while charging?
I Like this Radio the only cons is this radio should have side band and a more heavy duty antena. As well as a external antena port. Other then that it is a great radio. Maybe in the future they will up frade this radio with the features this radio is lacking in.
Seems a bit of a gimmicky radio but its got that old military style look, with a modern twist, which might appeal to some. A pity no SSB and that its off frequency on VHF. They might have the scope to re-calibrate it on a future release of the app. Good to see Raddy coming up with new, fun looking radios though. Thanks for sharing.

That’s awesome! Can you listen to HAM radio frequencies, such as my Baofeng UV5R? I should have waited until the end of the video to comment. I think you answered my question. I’m a beginner, and don’t know the difference between vhf, uhf, and shortwave.
He tells about that it does not have Side Band, so you can not listen to amateur ham radio operators. I hope this helps:

Great review thanks ! Here is a tip ! The RADDY has what the ROCAM does not have and visa versa. The charging these possibilities are necessary if you have no grid ! ROCAM has DAB+ but not so good sound as RADDY...etz ! So if you have both connect them with audio USB and you got the best of both worlds!

100% Agree maybe they will have a up graded Model of this unit in the future with SSB and maybe a better antenna and external antenna port. Why the people at Raddy did not install SSB on this really Bugs me. They would of knocked it out of the Ball park on they did.
