I was sober for almost 18 years, then relapsed and it took me almost 3 years to get back to continuous sobriety...after a stroke. Which almost ended my life. Now I am 21 months sober, mobile, with my energy and mind and definitely a new lease on life. I live in a small town and although I don't ascribe to AA as the only way to get and stay sober, I still attend meetings because at this point I will do anything to stay sober. So thank you Jae for posting all these marvellous videos. Proud of this community 😍
WOWWWWWWWW!!! I'M PROUD OF YOU!! This is a GREAT comeback story! Thank you for spreading positivity our way today 😊
That's incredible! I hope you don't mind my asking, but were there any symptoms you felt days or hours prior to having a stroke?
@@cl3x18999about 3 months before the stroke I was falling asleep and of a sudden realized that if I did not stay sober something would happen, something bad. So I went into the hospital on Feb 4 for detox, and had the stroke, while in hospital! on Feb 22. I have no memory from Feb 4th to sometime in April but apparently I was talking with a nurse when the stroke started so she knew what to do. I was intubated for about 3 weeks and spent 3 months altogether rehabbing in hospital. I had very high blood pressure for months before from drinking, and smoking but otherwise no symptoms.
Way to not give up. You are awesome.
32M- Hi! first time commenting, I currently have 7 days under my belt! After a couple years of moderate to heavy drinking. I sobered up for 7 months in 2021, but then relapsed and fell back into the void for a couple years.... I lost a lot of friends, and haven't lived up to my potential because of alcohol, but I'm trying my best to change.
I tried to do sober october, but suffered an painful injury from a skateboarding accident, and also my dog died, so I handled the pain the way I knew how to... but now I'm back on the sober path.
That's EXACTLY how I felt! I absolutely support self improvement and you've made 7 huge steps in the right direction 💪💪💪
We are all imperfect. The important thing is the recovery not the detour from sobriety.
Congrats !! Keep moving forward you can do this ! I know exactly what you mean all it takes it's a stressful event to cause relapse. But you don't stay stuck you start over the very next day. Eventually 7 days turns into 7 months and we all want that to feel free from this addiction.
37 days here without a drink. Feeling better, doing better, getting better. Thanks for the encouragement from channels and groups such as these. Spent the last 30+ years in a drunken fog. Looking forward to the next 30+ years of clarity.
It's never too late to start right? You're on the right path. BEWARE of the detours that will lead you in the wrong direction!
54 days sober today. It has been a journey of ups and downs. I had an evening cocktail for 40 years. Or two. Or three. Noticed it was affecting my health. Didn’t go to bars, didn’t get in trouble. I feel so much better physically and mentally. Wish I had quit a long time ago.
I was the same! I had over 2 years back in 2018, then fell into the void again. I too didn’t go to bars, or get in trouble. I have 36 days today. I also feel so much better.
31 for me lets goooo
Nobody ever regretted waking up sober! Thanks for the great update! I'll be looking forward to your day 60 🎉

Just completed 31 days of sobriety thanks to Sober October and this channel. Thank you Jae!! Never thought I’d make it this far at 45 years old. I’ve been drinking since I was 17 and heavily since I was 21. Feels good!
YOU DESERVE TO FEEL YOUR BEST! Keep us updated and the comments flowing 😎
Have a good November. Keep up the good work. Keep striving to improve yourself.
Keep it going buddy
AWESOME!!! So AWESOME!!! I'm beyond happy for you! I wish you all the very best on this continued journey.
Congratulations !! I completely agree with you I have been drinking so long I can't remember when I started I believe I was 13 and I am now 48 way too long. But yes it does feel so good to wake up feeling so much better. Keep it going we can finally get free from that life and live to our potential !!
I have to agree, this is the BEST sobriety channel on all of RUclips ❤❤❤
I agree. 🙂

73 and 36 days! I’m done with alcohol! Thanks for your channel! It has really helped!

I will be committed to spending the rest of 2023 sober! Starting this morning Nov 1 with a pretty bad hangover from Halloween. I just need to be a better version of myself and kick this habit that I have had for too long! I’m excited to have community of support. Thank you 🙏🏻
Keep us updated everyday that you wake up sober! it's a great exercise to make as part of your daily sobriety routine 🥰
Yes I completely agree with you the support really does help. You got this for sure we all do. Just take one day and step at a time.

It’s true it’s never too late to get sober . I got sober at 39 years old and 4 years later I am still sober 🥳👯♀️
Happy 3 years sober yesterday Jae. I made a post in my community tab celebrating all you do for the sobriety community 🥳
You are an inspiration and a blessing to us all! Onward and Upward my friend 😇
Hi Jae, I like to check in with you now and then, this video is one of the best you’ve done. I have 30 years on you, yes I’m 72, and gave up alcohol just 6 months ago. It’s been an interesting journey, but I haven’t returned to alcohol. I’m about 2 weeks away from major surgery for a growth on my adrenal gland (I didn’t know I had an adrenal gland until this diagnosis). What I’m grateful for is if this should prove to be the end of me, I’m so pleased that I’ll face that end sober, and in a positive frame of mind. If it isn’t the end, and there is a chance of that, then I’ll go on to the next phase of my life without the awful crutch of alcohol. Thanks for all the cheerful encouragement and I’d like to offer encouragement to others trying to get of of the bad habit of alcohol consumption, if a stupid old man like me can do it anyone can. Good luck on your journey folks. 😁😁😁
IT'S NEVER TOO LATE!! Heaven is WITHIN ALL OF US, we just have to find it! You're on your way, THIS IS NOT THE END 🙏🙏🙏
Glad to hear and there is indeed something wonderful and honest about facing life's tough challenges sober. Wishing you the best.
Congrats on your long sober streak. Keep up the good work.
I have been sober for 5 years and I can tell you I’m so happy and feel proud and so much healthier. I do have a new problem and I’m going to start getting that under control it is sweets. I’ve always loved sweets and as a kid in the 60s I was a candy and soda addict, then I found alcohol and that was the big problem from 16 to 65. I was a binge drinker and even after having a family I still put alcohol first in my life , it took a divorce and constantly feeling horrible after a binge drinking episode I said I need to get rid of alcohol , so in October of 2018 I quit with some help from Craig Beck and listening to him and he made sense. I exercise everyday and I am cutting back drastically on sweets. Stop drinking alcohol it is never too late Mike

Today its my second month sober. I'm a bit proud of myself and very happy about how my body has begun to recover: better and clearer thinking, amazing skin, wonderful sleep. Even I started, at my age (I'm 53 yo), studying again!
And I'm member of A.A. and want to thank my community for being there for me.
I like what I'm reading of the NEW CHAPTER OF YOUR LIFE!
CONGRATULATIONS!!! I am more than just "a bit" proud of you!!! You're deep enough into this journey now to never un-learn how much better you feel without poison coursing through your veins. GOOD FOR YOU!!!

25 days sober and grateful for this community. Thank you ❤
You're on a ROLL!!!
@@GettingSoberAgain thank you, however, I am very nervous about the holidays but, as you said in your video, planning is key.
@@carolminick780 🗝️
@@carolminick780 You don't have to stay for every minute of the holiday party. You can probably get away with a token appearance of fifteen or twenty minutes.
At a certain point, the vision of the. drinker gets so blurry that they don't know if you are there in the room or not.
Keep it going! You are doing great!
I LOVE THIS COMMUNITY!!!!
IT'S NEVER TOO LATE TO START!
I am hopeful because on sober days I generally don't miss alcohol. It's really the demons that try and draw you back in.
Good morning! Shining a little light on the demons almost certainly casts them BACK into the darkness where they belong.
The secret is to continue working on letting your light shine, and the rest becomes history!
If you resist the demons firmly, they will vanish. They are looking for those who are pushovers.
My sober journey started 2 years ago. Lots of starts and stops. I wouldn't trade this journey for anything. Once i got sufficiently brainwashed, all my lil lapsey-poo's get shorter and shorter.
So long lapsey-poos!!! 😁😁😁
Congratulations on three years sober Jae ❤🎉👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
YAHOOOOOOOO!!!! You're officially the 3rd person to congratulate me on the big 3 🥰
I’m trying so hard to change my mindset. 10+ years of alcohol abuse, numerous attempts. Wish me luck.
Thank you for the video.
You WILL change your mindset. A little each day until you're confident enough to ask your FUTURE SELF out on a date 💅
We are all imperfect. If you fall down seven times, get up eight times.
Good luck, but I don't think you need it!!! You have already tackled the first big hurdle by even WANTING to be here and begin the journey!!! As a point of reference, I started weekend binge drinking when I was a teenager... that habit increased bit by bit until I spent 5 years from 53-58 drinking 3-4 STRONG drinks almost daily. At 58, I FINALLY got sober... again. I've been free of the bondage of booze for almost three years now and I'm a much healthier 60 year old.
Has been almost a year since I was in a rehab facility and began my sober journey. Unfortunately, I relapsed during the same month that many people are practicing sobriety ironically enough. Long story short, I’m presently on a medically prescribed taper and have an assessment today at an IOP center. Thank you for making me realize this will forever be a journey and not to give up.
Keep it going, please don't give up on yourself!
Just think of it like training wheels. Eventually, you'll be riding through life without them! The struggle will be replaced with productivity and BETTER HABITS. you won't even care or think about alcohol anymore.
but make that the goal, and reach the goal!
You are stronger then you even realize and as time goes by and you get healthier you will start to see how stronger you are becoming. And the process will be easier for you to avoid it , it just takes practice. Keep fighting like the rest of us we can never give up. You got this!
People really don’t like you? Nah man, you’ve saved me on some hard days. I’m grateful for you. 116 days sober
WHO?? lol 🕵️♂️
We can't control how other people feel about us, but WE can control how we feel about US!
Let's keep working on being our best, and let other people worry about the rest 😉

Great video. Now that we’ve made it through Sober October, let’s go for Remember November. (I don’t remember a lot of Novembers…so I’ll make the most if this one. 🦃 🙂)
Remember Remember, our 1st Sober November!
I really appreciate the things you said about getting practice in during October. I fell off a few days, but in the end, the entire month of October was still the least amount I've drank in over a year. Since I reduced my drinking so significantly, I can aim to not drink the entire month of November, and hopefully December too.
I already feel better and since I didn't wake up hungover nearly as often this month, I've been able to go to the gym much more often.
Thanks Jae!
That's the spirit!! I'm trying to see my abs by December! Nobody else can see them though 🤣

Congratulations on 3 years, Jae!!!! 🎉🎉🎉 That's awesome!
I now have 6 days of no alcohol under my belt. I went trick-or-treating with my kids last night and actually had fun for the first time in years. Normally I'd be stressed and grumpy and just not in the mood, but without the alcohol clouding my brain I was able to soak in the moment and make some great and happy memories. I'm sad over the time and good memories I lost with my kids due to my drinking in the past, but I can start being intentional now. And I'm looking forward to having a sober Thanksgiving and Christmas for the first time in decades!
Your kids deserve to get the BEST out of you. they will only be young and impressionable for so long. The sacrifice you're making now will pay dividends 🥳
It sounds like the alcohol-free life is working out good for you! Keep it going, I have kids too and thinking about what kind of example I am setting for them is a big part of why I am leaving booze behind.
Congrats on six days of sobriety. Feel that positive momentum and keep it going!

Hey Jae, just checking back in. Been a busy time, both my wife and I have had a change in career from start of October. Been a very busy time! I've had one or two drinks, however, and this is a big however..... I have not slipped back into old habits of drinking every night to excess. It's been rare occasions, and only when my wife has felt like a red wine after a busy day. It's been very limited, but it's a massive difference compared to pre-May this year when I started my big streak of soberness. I didn't think I'd ever be able to have this relationship with alcohol, but here it is. I wonder whether continued take it or leave it will just end up being me done with it. Just wanted to drop by and let you know. I haven't gone hard off the rails, I am a changed man and I have you to thank for it. Keep being awesome :D
I'm glad you got my brainmail!!! I've been meaning to reach out this week, but I'm glad you found me first.
You are certainly in a better place and you deserve to be free of this vice. Keep up the good work!

Been watching your channel for a week now and really needing to hang up the booze. Pretty worried about the first 3 days so I need to muster up the courage to just do it. Never seems to be a good time so I need to commit at some point. I know I can do it, I was sober for three months, six months ago. Now I’m trying to… Get sober again. The first week is quite hard. The second week is easier than the first week.
One week sober...cravings receding. Lot's of sparkling water. I learned that it was a habit I had facing some situations. Substitute those cravings with sparkling water and orange juice or lime juice...it helps to control cravings. Also keeping myself busy and walk...walk a lot. My body is craving sweets, I'm giving this to my body for now...but next week will start reducing it.

BEWARE OF BOONS FARM! lol
I learned about the being alone thing yesterday. Since I feel my change in perspective I actually enjoyed being by myself. I took myself on a lunch date to get some falafel. In the past eating at a restaurant by myself felt negative. I felt self conscious. I felt that whole no one wants to do anything with me thing. Yesterday I was content. I had a whole amazing day. I was even finally able to stumble across the full house house while walking around! If I was still in that negative mindset I wouldn't have had the motivation to just go out and walk around.
Be the person who you actually want to hang out with 😉
Everyone is on their own journey, just keep it going, These feelings will pass.
19 days sober. This is the longest i’ve been sober barring dry January, which I’ve done a few times. This time is different. I’ll be 50 next year, and been drinking daily since i was 18!
It is never too late I am 46 days sober and I am 57.

When I was in alcohol detox in hospital, the ward was full of people who left it too late. Cirrhosis, and jaundice, was horrific. One guy had to get his stomach drained of 10 litres of liquid every single day. Sober, it is the best!
10 litres????? OMG 👀👀👀
32 days sober today after years of binging. First time I've gone this long without a drink for a while. Definitely enjoying the clarity, the better sleep (understanding that alcohol actually made me more tired in the long run was key), the lower blood pressure (feeling much more calm) and the ability to troubleshoot problems that used to stump me. Appreciate this community and the encouragement. Be well y'all.
If those benefits came in a bottle, we'd all be on it! Good thing sobriety is doing it for us right?

@@GettingSoberAgainjust about to upload my vlog for today! And you get a mention again as well!
I have f'n up kinda. I have reduced the amount significantly, improved my diet, and conscious of what's happening. But I have not stopped.
I've been f'n up, but I ain't giving up. Khab Khun Krub to everyone for being there❤
Hi. It's my first time commenting.
It's so nice to have this positivity to listen to when the world makes you feel like an outcast and not normal if you do not drink...
That's what it's all about. Most people here are doing sobriety on their own. When are all strong enough, it's important to let our light shine to help others see through the darkness! 🕯️
i'm in my 50's,have been a big drinker for years,i do take a break from drinking here and there,2,3 weeks maybe a month off just to prove to myself i could if i wanted to,but the moment i started drinking again,JEEZ....i was ON IT...big style,it would be ages till i would take another break...i had a crossroads moment the other week,i knew i was in serious trouble drink wise,i've never thought about giving up the drink permanently...thats now changed, watching you Jae has really helped,im 11 days sober,i find the night hard going but ive now been to two AA meetings this week and will continue to go to more, its really early days but im feeling hopeful and a little scared ,i know its daft but when i get scared i just think of the Rocky training montage music and its another thing i cling to which helps me get thru it.Good luck everyone, hang tough xx
Thanks again ! Still in and going to continue.
ONWARD AND UPWARD! Your best self is up ahead!
63 days sober! I’ve been going to the gym a lot and I’m working on getting back into hobbies I love.
Keep up that positive momentum! Hooray for sixty three days.
63 days wooooooooo!!!! I'm a bit of a hobby collector myself. What are you into?
You’re so awesome! Congratulations on THREE YEARS!! Wonderful accomplishment for a guy who so generously shares!! Being free from alcohol has changed my life and I love the way you open the door for this beautiful change for so many people.
Be the change that you wish to see in the world, right? 🕵️♂️
This is my way of trying to leave the world a better place than I found it, thank you 🥰
Feel that positive momentum and keep it going!
My first solid week of this sobriety journey is in the books. I have tried to stop or even cut down my drinking a few times before but each time I quickly went back to drinking. Things are different this time and, besides my determination, the only difference is my daily dose of these videos. I’ve made it through little to no sleep the first 4 days, incredible cravings, a very emotional day, Christmas with the family which has always included alcohol before. Things are different this time. I don’t want to feel like I did while drinking daily anymore. That wasn’t living. That was existing and, perhaps, I am fortunate to say that because things could have been very different. I’m formulating a plan for 2024 to catch up on projects and organizing that has been neglected the past few years. Things feel fresh and d positive. And I like that. Much appreciation as always, Jae. You’re the best.
Thank you for having me here on my 2nd day sober😊
Thanks for being here! you picked the best community on RUclips in my expert opinion 🤫

Day 30 sober of alcohol, 25 on nicotine; the sleep has been bad with only 4 hours a night the last few nights after one full week of no sleep (alcoholic insomnia) found out that phones, tablets ,computer laptops all have led lights emitting blue light bad, stay hydrated so the mountain dew I got was bad, keep habits of bed time. Stools had improved until the mountain dew yesterday making me go to liquid. They suggest getting going early so just finished my workout and about to go walking to get blood flowing. Not giving up this time; I want to sleep normal again is my main goal.
Yes sir, make sure to perfect your "sleep hygiene" and have a good bedtime routine. I tend to sleep worse if I'm looking at my phone before bed or watch TV. a book always helps me to have a better night of rest with a low powered lamp that has a yellowish bulb
Yes those blue lights tell your brain to stay awake. Avoid screens an hour before you get under the bedcovers.
28 days tomorrow! Longest I’ve ever been sober for 20 years! Thanks to self determination and stumbling across your videos has helped me tremendously. I still have that itch here and there but it’s true, I feel great and my mind feels so clear! Mahalo for the positivity 🙏
That's how it's done my friend! 👏👏👏
Congrats on your long sobriety streak. Keep up the good work.
Your message is the exact one that I would provide to people if I had this channel. I've checked out a few and this is by far the best. You get it and it's clear you're genuinely helping people.
Oh man I really appreciate that! I'm not trying to knock anyone's hustle, but when you want help others, it needs to come from the heart 💗
Thanks for all the support
It's great habit if I had to say 😉
Hey everyone, I drank 2 16oz beers Oct 3rd and decided the next day I don't want to drink no longer. Today will be 36 days sober. My life been crazy deaths family beefs break up.... Hanging with people that mean me no good. I got a 21 year old and a seven yo . I just want to be a strong man for the both of em and remove myself from misery. I appreciate the videos, they really help
Anyone can be a dad, but the world needs more STRONG FATHERS!!! You're doing it! Be the change that you wish to see in the world!
A true friend wants the best of health and happiness for you. Sober friends are the best.
Congrats on your 3 years , I’m now in month 3 and feel great , no cravings no wanting to drink . Just went to a hollow ween party , lots of drinks and my wife makes Jell-O shots and I stayed away from any alcohol and had a great time .
People are going to be how they are going to be. The last thing that's going to make them open up to the possibility of sobriety is a sober someone being a downer.
Excellent work putting on a masterclass of awesomeness!
First time comment on your channel, it's a fantastic channel by theway, just one of many of my embarrassing situations when i was drinking, i was ones stayed in Cardiff overnight for work, i got a room where there was other people stayed so it was a shared room(tried to keep cost down but never counted for the alcohol in that manner) anyway, i must have had about 12 pints of beer and went to sleep, woke up in the middle of the night waiting to pee, i just went across the room and started peeing down the side of another person's bed head and started only in the middle of it i realised this wasn't the toilet! I went back to bed feeling like shit and so ashamed of myself. This was just one out of probably 100 embarrassing times.
lol I had a similar situation when I was with an EX in a hotel room. woke up in the middle of the night and decided the nightstand was the toilet until I heard "THATS NOT THE TOILET" 🤣🤣🤣
@GettingSoberAgain amazing what this poison make people to be!
I love these raw real talks. It's what drew me in the first place. I appreciate you bro. God bless you always. 🙏🏼💙🙏🏼💙
How'd you know it was raw lol...I didn't think anyone would notice 😎
It's been awhile since I sat down and did a freestyle, some people were complaining that they were "too long"
It's that sincerity breaking out all over the place! Thanks to Jae for showing us his vulnerabilities
I have been trying to get sober for the last two years, I go a couple of days and feel a little better. So I drank again. I drink almost every day
Please don't stop trying! You can make a change if you stick with it!
You've identified the toxic brain loop. The secret is to KEEP GOING!
I know how you feel. I have been going through the same. We just need to remember how much better we felt after those days without. I didn't realize how bad I was actually feeling because I never gave my body a chance to recover.
I didn’t make it but I’m starting over and determined to kick the booze completely.
We are all imperfect. Keep striving to improve.
2nd day of no drinking. I gotta monitor my BP as I think my meds may be a little strong. Keeping busy. Cleaning out the fridge laundry etc. I work in a hospital so I see the ravages of what alcohol does to people's lives. So I want to encourage everyone that they're doing the right thing...Myself included. I should know better than to drink. Time for a nap. Very good site here! Thanks for sharing Jay. 😊
Keep it going! Please don't give up on yourself!
I'm Happy to hear that you're taking the first few necessary steps in the right direction! A lot of people find that they're able to come off of some or even all medications after getting sober for some time. some people are able to do that and as little as a few months or after a year or so!
small price to pay for the rest of your life healthy!
I've been a heavy drinker for over 40 years. Started the sober journey in 2019. Lot's of relapses but I'll get there. This channel is a lifesaver. ❤
First of all, I want to say Hi! To everyone and thanks for the future support, day one for me after 35 years of alcohol abuse . Feeling strong and courageous enough to start this magnificent journey. Prey for me. ❤
🐅 Preying on the way!
Stick with it buddy, I am 57 years old and today I am 102 days alcohol-free. Don't give up on yourself!
9 days!. I've been staying busy with exercise and home projects. Sleep isn't quite there, but that should work itself out. Thanks for the content.
Keep up the good work molly. Keep going to fifteen days. You can do it.
You're on your way to everything that has been out of reach. You deserve to feel your best!
First time commenting, and it won’t be the last. 15 days sober today 41 without marijuana. Hope you guys are having a great day. I’m finding it feels really good to strike the days off the calendar every day I’m sober let’s all keep up the great work.
Keep that positive momentum going!!
Staying productive is a great way to build your confidence and keeping your mind off booze!
Day 1 of getting sober in November: I had A LOT of practice in Sober October and the longest I made it was a week. But that’s a WHOLE week that was mine! I am excited to start this month. On All Saints Day too.
BEAT THE STREAK!!! Practice makes progress right?? Keep us updated on your success, I can't wait to hear from you on day 8!
134 days alcohol free today, this RUclips channel has made a huge difference in my life and my journey towards a sober life. I am grateful to have these videos to inspire me everyday!
We are grateful to have you here with us 🫂
Love aa program but also open to other support also. It all helps me to stay sober . We are imperfect humans
Didn’t register that today is there last day of October! Wow.. this month flew by…I was grocery shopping and wanted to just go ahead and buy alcohol, remembering your comment about how we may or will eventually have a hiccup. Probably not exact words, that’s what my brain told me! But I’m happy to say, I didn’t buy any alcohol! 🙏🏼
And how do you FEEL now with this ACCOMPLISHMENT under your wings! Keep flying high!
Started my journey October 15th and got to 46 days. Felt the best I did in years and started drinking again in moderation, which then led to me going back to my old habits. Starting up again and going to be sober for 1 more day each day. Thank you!
Thank you for your content. My story is a lot like yours, even down to the years I spent drinking and drugging. This channel helps me a lot and will donate when i finally get a new job soon. I was 2 years sober before a huge relapse in 21' (because I knew I wasn't taking care of business and didn't ask for help) and I have grown exponentially in my recovery since then. Thank you for keeping me motivated because I never want to be a part of that alcoholic world again. Enough is enough. Thanks again.
Enough IS enough. we deserve better! I dig your story, feel free to tell us more when you get more time 🗣️
Jae you're doing so amazing!!!! I'm still struggling with getting sober but you have helped me ALOT with these videos!!!!! And I cannot wait to tell you my journey once I'm at full sobriety. Thank you for you ❤❤
🥰🥰🥰We all can't wait to hear your SUCCESS story!!!🥳🥳🥳
Keep striving to improve yourself. The gradual little victories are just as important as the big mountaintop experience you have have a long struggle.
Hi Jae, I want to thank you for what you do on this channel. I found you last week and although I’m starting my sobriety journey today, you have been incredibly helpful in pushing me to make this positive decision for myself. Looking forward to getting sober with you and this amazing community you have created. Much love
I'm looking forward to hearing your updates! Don't be a stranger 👻
Congrats on embracing sobriety. Keep that momentum going
First comment. 46 days. I feel better in my thinking, but think about getting liquor everyday. I quit smoking cigs almost 2 years ago too and since stopping drinking been craving that too. It's tough!
It will get easier, but you have to stack up some sober days to get a solid foundation under your feet. Please don't give up, I know you can do this.
One of the key signs that sobriety is sticking is that the thoughts of getting alcohol become little to none!
Make it your goal to get there and the rest will be a breeze ☺️
Count your blessings. Think about all the nasty, cringe worthy stuff you are not doing any more. Think about the positives of sobriety.
Everything you said Jae, relates to me and the reasons why I'm choosing to stay sober, I get so much done and yes the bank account definitely looks better, great video thanks.
Nice work Dave! Got any big ticket items in your shopping cart? If nothing else, make sure you spread the generosity during the holidays!
Lumps of coal for everyone! lol jk
@GettingSoberAgain haha your funny Jae, no big ticket items yet , maybe a nice steak dinner, since I've been making healthier eating habits.
I have a little cooler already packed with Non-alcoholic drinks and my favorite snacks, I am ready for Holiday Party season this year!!!
Awwwe all these people’s sobriety journey has me legit crying.
How exciting for everyone to be their own heroes cause it’s SUPER tough
What if one of the Avengers just quit mid movie? The difference is not giving up, pushing through the difficulties, finding new strength and courage, and overcoming what used to get the best of you.
We have all dealt with the tough parts, and some people keep giving in, not getting past 3 days, or not getting past a month.
Keep us updated on your success, because EVERYONE loves a great comeback story!
I’m really greatful for this channel.
With enough support, we will be able to continue making content for years to come! Slowly but surely
Medical issues. Pain involved. The pandemic and being laid up most of this year put me over the top with alcohol.
2 Months sober and going strong 💪 still have urges but not as hectic like in the beginning. This channel helps a lot! 🙌
Stick with it, you can do this!
Congrats on two months sober. Keep up the good work
First time commenting. Good content and thanks for being non judgmental and not preachy. 💪
I wouldn't have it any other way! thanks for practicing positivity here in the comments. now that you've got the first comment down, we look forward to hearing more from you 😊
My first time commenting. I've been watching your videos for a couple of months. I relate so much to everything you said in this video. I got tired of being tired. Today makes 5 weeks sober. Thank you so very much for your content. I really appreciate you so very much for your time and effort making these videos.
5 weeks!! I LOVE THIS!!! You must be feeling super motivated, but what took you so long to say hello??? lol
It's never too late to make better decisions right? I'll be looking forward to more of your comments as you watch more of our videos! Don't forget to show support for others in the comment section too. it's a big job and I can't do it alone 🫡
Awesome, please stick with it, you can do this!
@@jeffreyjohnmann Thank you so very much I am doing my best. I feel so much better now I can't even believe how good. I am worried about the holidays coming but it was refreshing to have found this awesome community to help keep me motivated. I consider you guys my greatest blessing !
@@GettingSoberAgain Thank you so very much Jae I feel so motivated and encouraged to keep going thanks to your content. Hi, first time commenting; Christmas day here in New Zealand, I've bn a home alone drinker hiding my loneliness after a divorce; on a journey towards sobriety coz I want to be my best self and role model for my children
