Triumph & Disaster is a post-apocalyptic view on the collapse of the world told like a children’s story and illustrated through the eyes of a mother and her son as they spend one last day on Earth. The music is the narrative for the destruction and tragedy. The words tell the story of love, loss and letting go.
We’re beyond proud, excited and exhausted to present you the first track from it ’Towers’ which summarizes all of those emotions in one song. Representing the beginning and the end of everything, it is about giant oppressive forces and feelings, the towering juggernaut of power, failure, history and death.
Produced by We Lost The Sea and Greg Norman
Recorded by Greg Norman at the Grove Studios, Somersby NSW in March 2019
Mixed by Greg Norman at Electrical Audio, Chicago
Mastered by Joe Lambert
Mellotron on ‘Towers’ by Ron Pollard
Artwork concept, illustration, design and animation by Matt Harvey Видеоклипы
a 15 minute song to open an album?...Yes!
Yes, please!
Whatever
I realize I'm pretty randomly asking but do anybody know of a good place to watch new movies online ?

I always thought you could never reach Departure Songs levels again... I was wrong O_O
Can't wait for the entire album!
Thought the same!!!!
doesn't reach those heights for me unfortunately, still a good album though.
well, they didn't. but it's decent
These guys aren't musicians, they're storytellers! 😁
Well I think it's safe to say that we have a post-rock album of the year contender. Thank you boys!
Post rock? This Is rock its a god Song but this Is rock not post rock im a Little disapointed by the change honestly
@@lupoallupato3305 learn what post rock defines.
The beginning stroke me a bit. It's quite high-paced as compared to the melancholic feeling of Departure songs. But by the end.... OMG, this is a massive song with so many twists. Have to have the album right now!
I like this stoner rock vibes from the first riff :)
I'm getting some MASSIVE Godspeed vibes off this. Hell yes guys, do it again! So excited!
they’re better than godspeed at this point ngl
no u
@@ryank8182 No me
@@lyramsr LOL, no one is better than Godspeed 😊 they're the greatest!
I really like We Lost the Sea but have never been able to really get into Godspeed ... Any good album or songs to make me change my mind ?
Meticulously crafted, literally breathtaking. Cousin Mose loves this as well.
No wonder dwight loves Post Rock
Given what their music did for me, i blindly ordered the album. Then I listened to this song....and had s nice confirmation of what I hoped it would be like. 😁
How great the concept is. Eagerly waiting for full album
best thing about "We Lost The Sea" is how music goes exactly as you want it to, as if they asked for your opinion before producing it.
Existential despair never sounded more alluring. Loving this so much.
I've been listening to Departure Songs on repeat over the years. It helped me get through tough times. A little late, but I'm happy to see another album has been put out. :)
The first track is as long as some EPs... I strongly approve. :D
Guys, we need an European tour with a stop in Poland!!!
bielend agreed!
Add Czech Republic to that list as well! God, what a great opener for an album..
@@symptomcp i know the band. they are performing in europe this year!
Unbelievable follow up to Departure Songs! I really didn't think you could top the previous album, but this song may be one of your best works yet!
This is epic and fucking glorious. Can't wait for the album to drop.
A black marble stone. Absolutely incredible.
The strenght, the power in this.
You did it again. This goes beyond words of how amazing it sounds. Can't wait to hear more.
Come to France 😢
Please ! 😁
We’re working on it 😉
@@viddywelllittlebrother5401 _squeeeeeeee!!!_
Gotta wait till covid done ;(
Too bad the last time they were in france, the sound system where they played was too bad, I left 5 mins in, otherwise i LOVE the band!
Man, this was something else. You guys continue to produce some powerful pieces of music that are all unique in tone and style. I love it! I hope I get to see yall live someday!
Crushing beauty.
Am fost la mare și m-am pierdut.
Vad ce ai facut acolo :))
Pre-ordered because THIS is music !
Hearing this, can you formulate and express a full imaginative scenario with this music?
The album is about climate change and the end of the wold ,the water drops in the song are the last drops of water on earth

This is epic! Just grand in every sense!
I was expecting to be ambient and depressing but it's amazing anyway
Lights off, open window, moon at top, Let"s start..

I heard this on triple J for the 1st time, such a brilliant song 🤘
I was hoping that the old heaviness would return, and oh boy, it did.
This is brilliant!!! When are you going to launch a world tour again Plzzzzz
Welcome back dudes ❤

Thank you guys this made my day!
Bäääm... This is going to be huge, well done!!!!! Can´t wait until october...
Love it. Do yourselves a favour and put this on with a decent set of headphones.
The video is absolutely amazing. I feel that it enhances the music in such a powerful way, while still being very simple and leaving a lot of room for interpretation. Personally, I got some symbolist poetry vibes.
Really lovely sound.
I can’t stop listening to this!
Only just discovered it, because I was listening to Diary Of My Misanthropy (give it a listen, you might like that as well) and it recommended me this band. Amazing. I really love this!!
Holy wow! Amazing!!
Magnificent..!!

was worth the wait
Godspeed meets Isis
The band, i mean
All love and support from Egypt ❤️
nice work guys.....
The outro, from another world
These guys have slowly crept into my top 3 favorite post rock bands..my favorite is still newer Mogwai, with the electronic nuances, so awesome. Gotta put God is An Astronaut up there too. Cheers.
You should also try Yndi Halda.
can't wait!!

3:52 Does anyone know what gear the bassist uses to get that sound ?

The only True gods came back!
Epic!

YESSSSSSS!!! Ok so i’ve listened to it about 3 times already. Bring on the whole album. I feel like I might’ve heard this one when WLTS opened for Russian Circles. Correct?
nikoff008 correct ;)
Kieran Elliott thought so, thought I had the same feeling I had at the Russian circles gig of “oh my gosh, I loooooove this!”
Fuck yeah, I'm so glad I discovered ya'll!
🤘😎🤘
When I heard it at the first time, I didn't like so much. After 20 listenings I think this album will be even better than Departure Songs.

That Burzum feel around 1:30
If this album wasn't originally written about 9/11 and altered to avoid upsetting thin-skinned people i'll eat my hat. Just look at the track listing and listen with that day in your mind (assuming you're old enough). Seems to me track one is about the construction and the attack on 9/11 starts some way into track 2. Distant shores = Iraq, Afghanistan.
Better warm up that hat and get it on a plate. It had/has absolutely nothing to do with 9/11.
Officially - this has absolutely nothing to do with 9/11 but I can see why your mind went there.
I liked this before🖐, You need more thumbs;?....
